Watching the Battle of Salucemi from Clone Wars in slow motion revealed a TON of hidden details that everyone missed watching these episodes for the first time. Here's a compilation of all the different things I've found! Let's begin.

Fun Fact: George Lucas specifically requested that the majority of the Twi'lek Race have French regional accents. He said that it increased the beauty of the species, as well as making them more appealing as slaves (which the Race is mostly known for). Check other Twi'leks across star wars and you will hear the accent.

Infrared is also used as night vision or in very dense foggy areas, just not as the typical googles used for night vision.

That clone who got sucked in the outer space at 9:13 unfortunatelly stayed alive for a while, since phase 1 armor seems to be protected as in s1e2, Sinker and Boost were able to survive outside the escape pod with Plo Koon for quite a while, and in s2e2 Rex and 501st walk on hull of separatist frigate just like that, hopefully that one got picked up by one of the other ships and survived
phase 1 is vacuum capable it isnt a "seems to be" its literally a "its designed to be" scenario. phase 2 armor removed the capabilities however rex later modified his armor so it has some of both
@@SivaExperiment I have used "seems to be" as a way of not stating it as a fact as I wasn't 100 % certain on it and didn't want to research at that moment to confirm it, so I was just basing it on my observation, my appologies for this little deception

Anyone else notice Rex’s wound inconsistency? He gets shot center left chest, but when they’re treating him and flip him over it looks like he’s injured in his right ribs. IDK maybe different injury from the fall/tumble?

It's probably just an inconsistency, but my head canon is that he hit a rock falling off or his backplate got pushed in a little too hard. (Even if it did ricochet like a normal bullet it would have fried the surrounding flesh and punctured at least 1 lung and his tubes)
2:46 shoutout this clone he was an unsung hero that I believe doesnt get enough shine he is clearly hurt and yet still fights and lands a perfect shot on the commando droid and still fighting to the end with his general reminds me of captain keeli
Regarding the Reeks being on Salucemi, I believe these herbivorous species are native to the planet. They are typically greenish in color and only take on a reddish hue after being forced to eat meat.
As for Eopees (not sure i spelled correctly), I believe that were brought in by farmers. This leads me to believe that Grievous got the creatures from a local farmer.
I think the cycler rifle had a purple flash because the commando shot with a red bolt that mixed with the blue bolt flash, so it looked purple.
Reeks are typically tame and thus one should actually be all green, the one on geonosis was trained to be aggressive and only fed red meat leading to its red coloration
22:33 this is acta human reflex, soldiers gets shot and as they die, or even just in pain, they spasm also that droid shot 3 times not twice
Always found it funny how often they used Kit Fistos lightsaber design. Grievous has it, Koth has it, Cin Drallig has it and also Ima Gun Di has it.
Funny thing here is, not only does Grievous fight against Koth with the exact same saber, but later when he sends the message to the Jedi council Kit Fisto is there having also the same hilt (and his seat in the council is right next to Eeth Koth's)
Adi gallia actually used reverse grip quite a bit in the Jedi Starfighter game and the Jedi council comics. As far as I know, she’s actually the first Jedi/sith to ever be shown holding a saber like that.

13:13 Nowadays we know Rex survives(BC he is in other projects and CW S7) but at the time no one knew what could happen to him after all he is none of the movies (bc he was created after them) so Rex had no plot armour in this inctense.
Rex is Generation One, the best of the best! That's how he survived a sniper bolt through the chest

Generation One clones aren't any different than other generations of clones other than the fact that they're older and made with less degraded genetic material. The only reason Rex survived is because of the extra protection provided by his pauldron.

17:40 I believe beasts kept in coliseums like that were kept somewhat malnourished to make sure theyd want to maul the person inside, so its possible they arent usually that aggressive.

17:25 Reeks are actually peaceful herbivores. The Geonosians tortured the heck out of the one in AOTC and fed it an all meat diet from what I remember. Reeks are not naturally red pigmented. However I don't know if the TCW showrunners knew this or not

The reason you see clones on the cruiser in Geonosis armour was the 212th Pathfinder Battalion (the clones in the desert camo) are part of the same unit as the regular 212th, same as the airborne clones from revenge of the sith. They probably just haven’t changed armour since Geonosis
Fun fact that clone trooper with the blonde hair was in the background of Revenge of the Sith
8:40 Clones in TCW have plot armour. It seems like people don't realise this for some reason, but the stuff they survive is just ridiculous. Like in the major battle during the Chip conspiracy arc, the clones are literally walking slowly into a wall of blaster fire Episode 2 style and yet they take maybe a handful of casualties because miraculously the entire droid army is hitting everything but them.
Twi'leks commonly have a french accent

The recoil from igniting the lighsaber is also visible in "Revenge of the Sith" when Obi Wan fights General Grievous on Utapau

9:20 This has just occurred to me: since when droids were allowed to use escape pods? This is one of earliest galactic rule that was established in A New Hope when Threepio objects from getting into one. And the CIS is not known for caring about their droids that much.
22:45 In addition to the "trigger finger" theory, I think Cut made the Commando's vision flicker in and out of infrared mode. In Battlefront II (2017), the Commando Droid's middle ability gives him infrared vision, and if you are looking at the Commando as another player, you can see that their eyes turn red while the ability is active. I think Cut glitched the Commando's vision with that punch!

You should start slowing down lightsaber duels like sidious vs maul and savage. There’s some really sick moves they pull off
We know from the Malevolence arc that Dooku doesn't approve of Grevious' tendency to destroy battle droids because the droids are expensive.
So I don't think he cares for them directly, I think he cares about the CIS finances and logistics.
Loved this arc as a kid- honestly ppl hated on the early seasons but for reasons like these I loved it
At 4:22 I think thats the Jedi Savage kills
The lightsaber ignition pushing the hands backwards is a nice little detail, which you can also see more clearly in ROTS Grievous v Kenobi.
The Jedi at 4:18 is the Jedi Master, whom Savage kills on his first mission by Count Dooku.
Also the Jedi at 4:31 we can only see 1 other time in an Intro of a Season 5 Episode right now I’m not sure which it is, but in the intro we see Maul and Savage kill 2 Jedi and she is 1 of them.
She uses reverse grip when she was running at the droids it was a gladiator trick that you used in the Colosseum it will get from momentum to be able to cut off the droids head it was a very effective gladiator technique

on the matter of the Light saber Recoil at 3:06. Yes, we do indeed, actually see this happen again, in revenge of the sith. When Grievous prepares to fight Obi Wan on Utipaow (probably butchered that name, sorry) all 4 of his light sabers give off a bit of recoil just like in this episode too! It's a really small detail that's easy to miss during the Utipaow fight too so good on the animation team for adding that little detail in this episode.
20:15 I wish they showed the cycler as a projectile weapon like it is supposed to be, but we rarely ever see it portrayed as such for some reason.
My guess is that because grievous doesn't have the force, he can't control the recoil as well
9:50 the jedi Eta - class shuttle opens its wings slightly when landing
Probably down to being a non-standard design for a Venator class cruiser, So the designers might not have thought of that shuttle when designing it.
E, also to touch on it the frames of the hangars are to small for a fully deployed Eta class shuttle.
You can just imagine grievous shouting out so long suckers I'm just I'm doing the double bird...
I just noticed when that droid shuts down the antenna retracts, so it's not just the battery dying, but like the battery hit 2% and it switched to a power-save mode rather than just being rundown.
I feel this arc isnt given the love it deserves im glad cut laquawne takes the spotlight of this arc but the clones i felt sorry for the most was all of horn company and that one clone that got sucked into space who was in that corridor with obi wan and cody
17:54 the ammo in the AT-TE is stored kind of where its belly is, under the floor of where the clones are housed on the inside to man the other cannons, its possible the droid was aiming for the ammo housing so that it would blow up, kinda like if you hit a irl tanks ammo supply it becomes a big fireball

3:43 About that lightsaber ignition. I think it was just a practical thing when shooting the movies so that the vfx guys has a visual cue as to when did the actor "ignited the saber". And people at Lucasfilm always liked to add some small details like this into animated stuff, so I would say that's what we're seeing here.
3:51 Grievous actually does this in episode 3. As he pulls out his lightsabers and turns them on, all four of his hands fly back a little bit.

I think it's more of a resource issue than anyone actually caring about the droids.

Interface, when Phase 2 clone armor came out red didn’t really like it so he took a blowtorch and dissected it and put it back together with pieces of his phase 1 armor including his pauldron because it protected him from the Commando Droid’s sniper shots. He also added the visor of his phase 1 armor to his phase 2 set.
I always thought the little kickback you see sometimes was from their fingers not being in the right position and they are moving their thumb up and the hand twitch is a response to that.
Try it yourself by making a cupping shape with your hand and moving your horizontal pointing thumb upwards. Your hand kind of twists a little to account for it
As someone that has coworkers who saw combat in Afghanistan, the commando droid who goes through the door, grabs the clone, and shoots the bottom of his skull is a real tactic. It's also in the movie Act of Valor.
The battle droid that said “I’m not the commander he’s the commander” his backpack disappeared in between shots
13:13 I'm gonna sound like a nerd but the blaster bolts don't exactly pierce the skin, they do in some cases but most of the time they just hit you and burn your blood vessels and organs because of the heat, so I'm pretty sure the injury on rex's back is because he fell on the road off a speeder bike which was going fairly fast
Ok so then could the reason Rex survived simply be that the blaster just wasn’t fully charged so not able to deal a powerful blast or something in that vain (they had established both droid supplies and power is running low)
@@blistow3519 Maybe but I doubt it, since clone armor is made of plastoid which is made to help them survive blaster shots, and since it hit the the shoulder pad part that covers his chest it most likely burned him from the inside but wasn't enough to deal severe enough damage to kill him
I’d say the reason why the battle droids were shooting after the death so much, was kind of like how the human body functions either they were about a fire, and they died as their firing or the body of the droid shut down, so it shut down the force of the fingers and made it go numb of coursein the force of the finger pressed down the trigger
The most infamous battle is of course the droid attack on Iego, and how quickly it was dealt with.
In all honesty, the Onderon arc could be fun.
Sabers and Blasters both use plasma based energy, which still has mass, so it would make sense theres a tad bit of a push when igniting it.
Grievous' cape is the best drip there was and is in Clone Wars. Maybe even in Star Wars.
I might have an explaination about the Reek, i read in the books and wiki the ones used in the arena were starved and only fed meat, which is unnatural for their kind and had the effect of making them far more agressive and is also why they're pigmented red.
Its possible the one Greivous rode had an easier temperament because its lived and fed on normal plant life as its supposed to, its even the natural brown color. And might even be domesticated beforehand.

3:18 My theory is that lightsabers contain the energy in a gravitational field. That explains why you can deflect blaster bolts and other blades with them.
And them getting attached when you lock blades in a fight.
Now that I think about it those clones coming back from geonosis are possibly how they figured out the order of the time line.

Im not sure if i was the only one who saw that but at 1:38 (when Grievous launched the door) there where 2 clones behind Eeth Koth and they both got hit by the door. You can see it pretty good at 1:43. You can also see it iat 2:39 there is a clone behind Eeth Koth where the droids never got until then.
4:09 The Jedi standing next to the Mon Cal Jedi is the same Jedi Savage Opress killed in his first engagement with the Republic outer rim forces.

All I know what would be cool it was a very short simple battle but Gregor's kind of extraction in that episode with all the droids where we meet that amnesiac clone Gregor
The jedi that you thought was plo koon (and then realised wasn't), I think it's master Halsey who appeared in the season 3 battle of devaron. He got demolished by savage opress. I think it's a really cool detail that they put into this episode.
I remember when I was a kid and saw the moment Rex got shot I was on the verge of tears because he was and still is my favorite Trooper, rex is always so epic

Grievous actually hated b1 battle droids due to their bad performance, he actually preferred Magnagaurds, which grievous is often seen with. The magnagaurds usually sport a head wrap and cape similar to the ones worn by the kaleesh, greivous’ speices
9:13 don't remember how is it with phase II armor, but if I recall correctly, phase I armor was pressurised and had 1 hour supply of oxygen for these situations, so the trooper might have been recovered.

Rex’s back wound looks like it’s an old injury based on where it is in relation to the entry wound
