I'm done buying movies until black Friday deals. I just counted ( recently started collecting) my movies I bought since December of last year. It's 122 movie's lol. So I'm taking a break. But will continue watching the channel as always.
I'm also slowing down. Exhausted and broken. 😅

I grabbed the blu ray of The Man From U.N.C.L.E. at Dollar Tree a year or so ago. When I watched it, I couldn’t believe how good it was. So I am definitely ordering the 4k from Arrow

Just got the Taxi Driver 4K Steelbook in the mail today. It’s a great looking Steelbook.
There is going to be a 4k of Challengers because it’s offered on 4k via Kalidescape
Twister is my favorite natural disaster movie of all time. Even then I'm not willing to pay $30 for it and will wait for price drop.
Ken, like you I never liked anime growing up. As I got older I never gravitated to it since I felt to behind in the series my friends were talking about. Then 5 years ago, I gave director Hayao Miyazaki a shot. I wanted to see the person that everyone compared to Walt Disney. Well I'm extremely happy I did. He's now one of my all time favorite directors. I own everyone of his movies to go along with collector sets for 3 of them. I know you have a lot of things to watch but I highly recommend giving him a shot. Btw I still don't watch the shows. Just the incredible stand alone anime movies that come out.
I was able to see Jaws 3 4k Dolby Vision yesterday and it looked great ! Best jaws 3 has ever looked however the 3D scenes still look rough but otherwise the outdoor scenes look really good. Happy with how the 4k restoration looks
Anyone know the packaging details for the Rocky set? As in, will there be individual cases, or will it be some type of fold-out kind of thing? Considering the price it damn well should be individual cases.

I wish i had seen ''TWISTER'' and ''TURBULENCE'' in the theatre. I didn't see them till i got them on Laserdisc. But i did see ''FORREST GUMP'' in the theatre. Looked spectacular. Bought that on Laserdisc. We have 1 more week till ''TWISTER'' comes out. I can't wait for my copy to get in my mail-box.

One of my most anticipated titles this month is the two-disc special-edition Blu-ray of the 1970s sex comedy, Flesh Gordon. It's being released on Thursday by Turbine Media in Germany.
Moving out of a trailer into a real house cured my fear of tornadoes. 😬

The movie I'm most excited about it Twister, also. Same as you I had a more than normal fear of tornados. I challenged myself to go to Twister in the theater. It was a stressful experience but I also loved the movie. I've seen it a few times since then. I've also gotten over my extreme fear of tornadoes. However, I don't have it yet in my movie collection. Sounds like now is a good time to do so.

Will Ferrell's best film is Stranger Than Fiction. His best comedy might be Anchorman, I don't like most of his comedy roles. I bought a box set of the Jaws sequels on blu-ray. At the time I just decided it was probably a rights issue that they weren't together with the first one.
I absolutely cannot wait any longer to get the fantastic forest gump, stupendous SpongeBob, boy and heron steel of course, rambunctious rocky collection, and lustrous lady from Shanghai 🤙

I have the following preorders: Civil War, UHF, Twister (steelbook), and Risky Business. I won't be getting Anchorman because the Unrated cut is not on the 4K disc, which is the only version I want to watch. I guess I'll stick with my original blu-ray. I'm also interested in The Fall Guy, The Guyver, and Perfect Days. As for Jaws, I have the 3D blu-ray, which is the preferred way to watch it, and I am not wasting money on Jaws The Revenge.

I uh...I ordered JAWS 4 from Orbit...because JAWS 3--which I really wanted--was sold out. I spent $60 on JAWS 4. Just out of desperation.
This may be my saddest collector moment in the history of my collecting (1988-now). It easily beats passing on the HALLOWEEN Shout! Factory boxed set from years ago.

Twister is one of my faves coming up and also Abigail has my interest piqued. The wife and I both love The Fall Guy and that one will be coming to the collection when it's released, and we are both looking forward to Civil War. The wife and I both enjoyed Phantoms, but we both love Peter O'Toole, so we will be getting that as well.
Challenges should have gotten a 4K. I’m waiting on it because I don’t think it’s going to be as good on BluRay as the theatrical viewing was. Perhaps when it’s $10. I also HIGHLY recommend the horror film Deer Camp 86. It was a good low budget horror and has a good message bringing awareness to the many missing Indigenous Women in this country.

Ken, you watched the New Omen on Hulu to see whether it is good.
You should do the same thing with Zone of Interest. I've watched it on Hulu and didn't find it to be engaging. 😴 I was in the "zone of disinterest". You may want to save that $35.

Might have to try to check out Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid and Challengers. Interesting on the Jaws sets. Never thought about that. You'll enjoy The Man From U.N.C.L.E., or at least I did. Already have the Blu-Ray but I'm still tempted to pick it up. Haven't seen In & Out either. Neat on the Forrest Gump soundtrack. Wish they still did that more often. Plan on getting Risky Business probably this weekend. Personally didn't like Election. It already had a Criterion. Hated to see the news it was getting the Paramount Presents treatment. Now 2 I really didn't want to pick up. Want to see Civil War still too. Tempted to get Phantoms just because of Jay and Silent Bob. Great list and enjoyed hearing your thoughts.
Boy Kills World is a fun watch, but I'll probably wait to see how much it goes down for black friday, it does have some bad@$$ fight scenes and some cool comedic spots too
Boy Kills World has some good humor and EXCELLENT action sequences, but it gets a little repetitive towards the end. All in all, I will buy it once it goes on sale as it is a great "turn your brain off popcorn movie" :)

I would like to upgrade my In & Out to 4K, but yes, that $40 price tag at Amazon has not made me pull the pre-order trigger yet.
The only thing I'm getting is Twister 4K. I dont see the need to upgrade my Blu of Anchorman. I like the Rocky set but too expensive. Ill wait for price drop. Everything else meh.

Taxi Driver is my most anticipated for July. I never bought the columbia set, and I'm glad I didn't because I'm a sucker for steelbooks. I'd rather have it this way anyway. I'm also getting the UHF 4k for sure. I saw that film six times in the theater when it came out. I'm also looking forward to the Criterion release of Risky Business. Some times you just gotta say, "what the fuck?"
I'm with Spielberg on the Jaws issue. I wouldn't want those sequels stinking up my masterpiece either.

There was news today about Sony stopping Blu-ray production. Are you able to address this in a future video perhaps?
A lot of misunderstanding with that. From what I gather it’s just the blank Blu-ray Discs that people would burn data on themselves that they are stopping. Not the official Blu-ray and 4K releases they put out. Not great, because people are losing their jobs, but the releases we get from Sony won’t change. I may do a video this week. Thanks!

Challengers is a fun movie but it doesn’t have that much depth or subtext. It’s worth a watch for the style and performances. Soundtrack amazing to.

Forrest Gump is a great movie but it wasn’t the best movie of 1994. Pulp fiction should’ve won best picture and even Shawshank redemption was better than Forrest Gump.
