    I got very inspired by this video. I couldn't get fresh cranberries anywhere so I ended up buying frozen ones. I let them thaw out for a few hours till they reached room temperature. I used granny Smith apples as that I was what I had in the house. I also added half a stick of cinnamon to the mixture.
    It turned out really well, love it! It's cooling down as I speak and I can't stop tasting it every 15 minutes!
    Thank you, dear Gordon, for this beautiful recipe.

    Even though I don't like cranberries, I love the video and everything looks nice and tasty. Even the cranberries look good.

    Had fresh cranberries, used Fiji apples. Was so good, but I feel like I used to much orange. Use a small Christmas orange not a regular sized orange, or even omit it as it tasted fantastic before I added it in.
    Totally making this again though. So good.

    One things for certain,,,, when adding the ingredients into the caramelized sugar all must be at room temperature or it will be ruined from the start. Second round was very successful, wonderful flavor, fresh, and aromatic. Great recipe that I'll be recreating for both turkey and ham for the holidays.

      Cardamum pods and starnese i took these out last few yrs i made this just counted how many i put in per batch and went looking for them afterwards didtnt want anyone biting down on one, i give some of what i make to family members for xmas which they all love and i make smaller portions which i freeze to do me throughout the yr and they taste great .i make sure i have enough left over for turkey sandwiches xmas nite just remember to bring cranberrie sauce back up to room temperature i usually put reminders in my phone for everything so not to forget..

  • @waltersobchak5315
    @waltersobchak5315 9 лет назад

    Just tried this. It was too rich for my liking. Once I added the port I knew I'd gone overboard and the orange juice just ruined the cranberry flavour. The apple and cranberry and spices thing before that was nice though.

    • @elisemartinez8235
      @elisemartinez8235 9 лет назад +2

      Your heat might not have been high enough. I made this mistake the first time. I kept the heat low so as to not burn the sugar. Also be sure to not agitate the sugar until it's fully melted. This will also help.
