USA Jigsaw Nationals 2024 - Team Final

- 50 teams of four people race to complete two, 1000-piece Ravensburger jigsaw puzzles to be crowned the top jigsaw puzzling team in the country! Both puzzles are new releases so none of the competitors have assembled them before. Thanks for joining hosts Valerie Coit & Jeff Whittle for this broadcast hosted by the USA Jigsaw Puzzle Association and presented by Ravensburger!

I loved hearing the inside story of "Busy Birdies!" Not only are there clever puns with the robin, cardinal, Blue Jay, etc, but also the story of life from birth to death and all the stages in between. I never would have put that together without his description. I hope you will invite the artists to come talk about their work EVERY YEAR!
Great job with the stream. I loved the interviews with the designers and hearing their process!
Also, maybe it’s just me, but I think announcements shouldn’t be made until top 6 or even 10 finish, but maybe I get more easily distracted than the pros😆
Thanks @SarahDoesPuzzles for the tip. I was late bird to the worm so it sold out too fast for me, but hopefully they'll do another run. Congrats on your performance in Nationals.

And competition begins at 19:30. First finisher for the 1st puzzle is 1:15:30, and for the 2nd puzzle is 2:15:30
The backside of the Ravenburger puzzles are blue so I feel like the "flip" on the all-blue puzzle would be frustrating.
I will bet you that Karen Puzzles does NOT like this first puzzle. I'm pretty sure she doesn't like "busy" puzzles. It will be interesting to see what she has to say about it.
I had the same thought, and she probably really enjoyed the Elspeth one.
@@Monker4444 Yes! I remember that she said how much she liked the mandala designs. 😊
They should use a solid colored Krypt puzzle in the competition.

Congrats to Karen’s team for finishing 6th place. She made it to top 10.
Is there a link to buy the competition puzzles (if not sold out)? I've googled in search of that second puzzle, "Celestial Constellations" by Elspeth McLean and so far no luck.

I know this is over now, but I'm hoping someone will see and answer. 3hrs is a long time. What happens if someone needs to use the restroom in that time? Thank you.
You can leave the competition space and come back, but the time doesn't stop
@SarahDoesPuzzles Thank you! I know it was a silly question, but I was wondering because losing 1 person to the restroom is going to leave the team at a disadvantage for those vital minutes when they're gone.
