We will miss you sunshine,Rest,Ice,Elevate
VP Will for trailname. Sunshine take care of that foot. Yall are just like a great family.
Happiness is based on “happenings“ contentment is a very different thing. I love what Captain said about attaching himself to a more positive and happy group if the possibility of mental burnout might occur.
He really is very mature beyond his years.
I love how he interacts and responds to his mother (very respectful)
He has so much patience and does not react like how many young men might when mom is just being mom and I love it!
I love listening and watching you two.
I can tell that Will is geeking out to be behind the camera again! 😀
He totally is!
Captain is a lucky young man to have you and will as his parents. Every day is an adventure with your family.
And we are sooo lucky to have him
Kind of neat to see the trail through WILLPOWER's eyes 🌺💕
I know I'm always arriving late to the party. Good for you sunshine for taking some time off. Excited to see dad and son on the trail. Love you captain, love you sunshine, love you will , Nan
The trail welcomed Will with a sunset. Good luck Will and Sunshine you get that foot better (crossing fingers for you).
💗 🌺 💕 WILLPOWER 💕 🌺 💗
I am enjoying seeing Will spend time with Captain, from Shirley
Trail name: VP.
Fun to see Captain adapt to a new partner!
A smooth transition!
A quick learner, Dad!
Rest up Sunshine! Your family is so enjoyable to follow. I wish Will could have done the whole AT with you all. ✌🏼
Oh boy, we say this every day. It is our first adventure separate and it is a bummer.
Everything crossed that the rest and treatment helps Jessica. Will, you'll be fine.😊
I just adore your family! 🌞♥
Will was so cute in the tent, like a little kid on Halloween, so excited! Sunshine, hope your healing went well, you will be missed on the trail!
I know, he was sooo cute.
Rest up Jessica: so nice to see Will! Captain’s memories will be priceless!!! Go guys!
Stag, doe and fawn, Daddy, mommy and baby deer.
Try being in a freshly burnt forest looking for hot spots in the dark. All you have is a flashlight. You can here trees falling all around you. 🦋❤️
Captain and willdabeast
Thanks for sharing!
Love seeing Will hiking and having so much fun. Captain you are doing a great job leading. Hope you heal and feel better Sunshine.
I love watching your family! Will looks so happy I think he should tag in from time to time. I thought his trail name was Hot Latino!
It’s great to see the tag team approach! Please rest and get well!❤
oh we miss having him on this adventure so much.
Safe travels.
You are smart and brave to take a much-needed break to heal yourself. Please don’t pressure yourself with a rest limit. Think of the long-run or walk as the case may be. You are so lucky to have Will to step in for you! I know you appreciate him and your whole family. Healing hugs to you!
L O L yawning is so doggone contagious! I don’t think it ever fails that iI don’t every time after you do no matter what time of the day. For instance, it’s only 8:30 in the morning and you already made me 😮
To see you, will you need a trail name for sure? Jessica rest and hope to see you soon.😊
Deflating mattress; the sound of commitment in the morning. Get well, Sunshine!
That wedged boulder above the trail is the famous guillotine. Glad to see Will out there and looking forward to hearing what his Trail name will be.
Wow that trail looks really narrow.
Will needs a trail name. My vote is for “Superman”, because he comes to the rescue when you need him.🙂❤️
I love this one.
Speaking of scary, I just got back from a long walk, and part of it was along a city trail, by the river, called The Greenway Trail. They had just recently fertilized along it with manure, and, today, it was on fire! Of course, I called 911 for the fire department to come put it out. I’m glad that I didn’t have my little walking buddy with me, because I wouldn’t want her to breathe in any of that smoke…
OMG that is scary.
Can notice the difference in filming between you two. Curious to take note over the next few vids. Initial observations is Will has a slower more calmng style and sunshine has a more energetic boppity style. I think I miss the mix of you together. Which I didn't realize till this.
Suspended boulder reminded me of Aaron Ralston, a Carnegie-Mellon grad, who had a horrifying experience with such a boulder. Movie 127 hours is based on him.
I had no idea he was a CMU grad, passed this on to Avalon. That story was crazy!! Amazing human. I would cut off my arm to live for sure.
Those who wonder will always.....if you love to walk in the woods, you will always wonder! 🍀
been here since Ecuador the beginning, i live in Ecuador
WOW. THANK YOU!!! Seems like a lifetime ago.
14:45 A welcome change 🤗
I know, so fun to have him back.
Your new name should be called the hiking trail man will
Those inclines are tough....saps your stamina QUICK! Largo's been acclimated to it...will take you some time, Will. A good TIP that Earl Shaffer wrote about in his book, was to use a much shorter stride and more steps on the inclines. Earl said if it normally took him 2,000 steps to cover a certain distance on a relatively level trail...then he would use 4,000 steps walking the same distance on an incline.
oh I like this, thanks for sharing.
Great to see you Will! Your trail name could be HOS, husband of Sunshine. What do you think?
oooh I love it!
Will, what about Moonshine as a trail name?
Time to ditch cotton. REI states - Choose light colors: Wearing light colors that reflect the sun's rays rather than absorb them (as dark colors can) helps keep you cool. Look for shirts, shorts and pants in white, tan or khaki.
Wear loose, breathable clothing: Lightweight, loose-fitting clothing that breathes well will help your body regulate temperature. Nylon and polyester are good choices.
My body likes cotton and rejects quick dry, but I should go with lighter in color.
While we were 🥾 our short little fundraising hike, locally on the AT, a huge piece of a tree 🪵 landed right in front of us maybe 50 feet. That was close! 🪵
that is crazy
Captain & Sunshine & VP Will ? Trail names????
I KNOW A TRAIL NAME FOR WILL VP
Sunshine, you should probably get into this with a professional - A drop that is not suited to your natural stride will force you to adopt a different stride, and suddenly and abnormally increase the stresses on your muscles and tendons. In the beginning this might cause unusual aches and pains that could develop into tendonitis or periostitis injury.
You can ascertain your natural stride by performing an analysis using specific sensors attached to your feet and slow-motion video. The measurements from these tools allow you to precisely measure how you strike the ground when running: with your heel or your forefoot. There are specialty running stores that have this equipment and can offer this kind of analysis.
I know, it is just hard to get an appt being on the move and they book out months in advance.
