My grandfather was South Vietnam military medic helicopter pilot during the war. He flew the Huey and I remember the story he told me how he would end up with more injured or even his whole crews got shot at and have to fly back to base with his best friend(Co-pilot) dead next to him. And he even recall the moment when a sniper shot at him but miss him by inch and only teared his pant. What make it worse was that his helicopter was mark with the red cross, this would be a big target for the Viet Cong to shoot at. But when the U.S. withdrawn from the war, he had a chance to escape and fly to one of those U.S. air carrier but he decided not to, since he is a religious man. He decided to stay back to protect his church and his family(my family). When he was captured, he was put in reeducation camp for 13 years. When he got released, he move to the U.S. and this is where he is living now.

My dad was there too and said he called in multiple medical helicopters like the one you speak of with your grandfather. He said they were very brave and could do amazing work under pressure

@@jjcoola998 Yes they were, so were all other men on the ground. I recently learn that these helicopter are also call dust off too.

I can't take the music added to the video. It is music from back in time that would do to a war video from the WWll definitely not the Vietnam war. That issue alone made me skip it.
