Honestly it warms my heart that these people went out of their way to tribute to one of the greatest albums that changed the charts forever, I know that mcr would love these covers no matter what, that’s why I love them. It makes me overwhelming happy that these bands did this.
Go listen to the rest if their music. I'm a hug MCR fan and a huge creeper fan and this is literally my least favorite thing creeper has ever recorded. Everything else is gold. The sound quality on this recording isn't good.
@@graciefirebaugh honestly, i'm very late, but the dramatacisim, they're both musically very dramatic bands, even if they express that drama in vastly different ways
I love the way they made it double speed and incorporated what sounds like a banjo. It makes it a very different song from the original without losing the spirit.
The reason people can't cover a single song by MCR and make it sound NEAR as good as the original is because Gerard Way's emotion simply can't be matched when it comes to his fucking ART.
I disagree with both of these sentiments because of Jason Aalon Butler. He absolutely could nail the emotion, rage and absolute desperation that Gerard is able to convey. If you don't know who he is, look up Letlive - Muther
Creeper are a great band but this is disappointing. The black parade should've just been left alone, it is too good to be touched and any attempt to do so just puts otherwise decent bands to shame.
amelia marie These covers make me appreciate the album even more because it is solid proof that even handpicked artists that have more albums than mcr can't even reach mcr's talent. In their defense the bands covering must be artists in their own craft and have a niche of their own just like mcr.
amelia marie I've seen a lot of complaints about how the bands that covered the songs aren't quite suited to the songs, but honestly... the point of a cover is not to beat the original artist. Rather, it's to show one's appreciation of the original artist and song. I've seen people say things like "Bands that are more like MCR, like Green Day, should have done the covers", but that completely defeats the purpose of this album. Most of the members of bands covering this are in their 20s, and we're in their teens when the album came out. They were people who appreciated and listened to and loved this album when it came out just as we did, and *that* is the point of the album.
Creative Cupcake 257 There's a bunch of people on RUclips who have covered their songs. It shouldn't be too bad. But I will say that a few songs from this Tribute album took me by surprise (cough*cancer*cough).
They were paying tribute, not trying to mock MCR. It doesn't put them to shame, I think it shows character. I mean, if you cover a band, it means you put a lot of effort into trying to make it into something that WON'T disgrace the band. They all put their own twist on it and I think, in some cases, it made the songs really good. I think MCR would probably be proud they inspired all these bands, really. And that's the point behind the album, to show that MCR has inspired all these bands. It wasn't drawn out of an alternative music hat, all these bands feel like they owe My Chem something. :)
I’d love to hear them give this a bash again with better mixing. This is SUCH a challenging song to sing and Will’s vocals have got so much stronger in the last couple of years imo, and having Hannah sing the bridge or even some harmonies too would be 👩🍳 👌
I know this comment is a year old, but Creeper is really a good band i recommend them to a lot of people, this cover is just disappointing and almost lazy imo
Forgetting about the rest, this is one of my favourite intros of all time. They completely strayed away from that and just put a boring drum beat in. I hated this cover from just the first few seconds. I could rant about plenty of other things, but I'll leave it there.
I appear to be one of the only ones with this opinion, but this is freaking great. I mean, it's not MCR, but nothing will ever be MCR and we just have to accept that. Creeper is great. This cover is great. Yeah.
His vocals aren't even bad. It seems like you guys don't like it just because he's not Gerard. If there's anything you should be complaining about, it's how watered down and lifeless the instruments sound compared to the original song.
Alien Killjoy Kaulitz yeah I actually do to because creeper is an amazing band. obviously it's not near as the origional, but they did a really good job
Yeah. I actually really like this one. Some of the covers aren't great but I mean, this one's really good and it's great that Rock Sound made a tribute to The Black Parade. Of course, they aren't better the originals but they're covers.
I'm gonna be hated for this but I love creeper and I think this cover is amazing. Some songs that have been covered are okay some are a bit bad and some are amazing. And in my opinion I love the fact that smaller bands have covered a really extraordinary and famous album in order for them to you know get more fans. I think its a really good idea. And I love creeper so much. Will's voice is amazing and because he's British it makes it all better and that's not meant to be offensive. I've seen creeper live and his vocals are so unique. Obviously Gerard's vocals are amazing too but Will's voice is far from "terrible" in my opinion. And you're all gonna hate me for this but I think I love both versions of this song the same. Both are just so amazing and incredible. Well done creeper.
Personally I like the voice, sounds kinda Eddie Vedder country like, which is a nice touch, almost half of my life since this album.... Time flies boy....
Creeper was happy to cover a mcr song from the black parade but wasn't as happy when they got this song. Still it's a cover it's supposed to be different. I am not saying it's bad. I am just saying that they could have done more to the song. Cause it sounds like a demo.
I love creeper as a band but holy fuck was Will _struggling_ in this song. I wonder if they could've done better, especially the "can you hear me cry part" with Hannah in the band
Oh my fucking God...this reminds me of those videos where an unknown RUclipsr edits their voice over a song's instruments. You know...the videos that get 42 views and have 9 dislikes and 0 likes?
Absolutely adore Creeper but this isn't a patch on the original. I'm not sure what has gone wrong as Will Gould is a superb vocalist. As for the "Black Parade" being left alone, Twenty One Pilots version of 'Cancer' is better than the original, not that the original was bad......
"I've never flown a helicopter, but I'm pretty sure, if I saw one in a tree, I could tell you that somebody fucked up." The "you cant do it better" argument is hella wack.
Panic! At the Black Parade But, Gerard was majorly pissed. And anyway, great cover. He has a really unique voice, it is quite...light, for a punk band.
Personally I think Will( the person who sang this) did a great job and it doesn't have to be the greatest thing in the world because it's just a cover :)
Demn the Frerard's Scream was shit here :"C. So i realize why MCR had to found his own style cause the Core trending wasnt right for the story of the Cancer guy. Watherver wasnt bad at all, nice.
The problem with this is the quality of the sound. Kinda sounds like a demo.
It’s the production as well. Makes me appreciate just how many layers there are to MCR’s sound and how well mixed their studio albums are
Agreed
Honestly it warms my heart that these people went out of their way to tribute to one of the greatest albums that changed the charts forever, I know that mcr would love these covers no matter what, that’s why I love them. It makes me overwhelming happy that these bands did this.
instead of cutting out the bridge completely they shouldve let Hannah do it ://
Pivari Kejriwal true
Idk if she was in the band at the time
eh. but the drummer is a beast!
Go listen to the rest if their music. I'm a hug MCR fan and a huge creeper fan and this is literally my least favorite thing creeper has ever recorded. Everything else is gold. The sound quality on this recording isn't good.
the mixing is bad bc usually he's good a great voice. its just bad production
Did anyone realize that maybe these artists were influenced by MCR and that's why they did this but I could be totally wrong
They were :) especially Creeper and New Years Day
My Chemical Kaulitz twenty one pilots too, they said it. Obviously not musically, but somehow they were
• Roberta • what do mean obviously not musically. Top and MCR have some musical similarities
mrcreepercraft48 how so? :)
@@graciefirebaugh honestly, i'm very late, but the dramatacisim, they're both musically very dramatic bands, even if they express that drama in vastly different ways
Vocals don't sound mixed very well it's such a shame Wills vocals are incredible. This cover just feels so rushed in sound
Yeah
I love the way they made it double speed and incorporated what sounds like a banjo. It makes it a very different song from the original without losing the spirit.
The reason people can't cover a single song by MCR and make it sound NEAR as good as the original is because Gerard Way's emotion simply can't be matched when it comes to his fucking ART.
IKR i don't think it's even possible to emulate all the feels in his voice without going full La Dispute, and at that point you're just crying
I disagree with both of these sentiments because of Jason Aalon Butler. He absolutely could nail the emotion, rage and absolute desperation that Gerard is able to convey. If you don't know who he is, look up Letlive - Muther

my chem is my favourite band of all time and most likely will always be but even with my own band I will never ever cover a song by them. I just wont.

WHERE IS THE BEST PART OF THE SONG *SO I CANT HURT YOU ANYMOOOOORRREEEEE*

they sound like lazy version of my chemical romance
Ay-Ayron Balakay they are a great band but i know they could've done way better on this song
trey hunter true
But It's not bad
So true lol
It's probably a demo or a live version
I was too busy humming along I almost didn't realize they left out my favorite part!!
SAME
Who allowed this to happen
quitesmacked mcr.
laby is weird
Correction. Rock Sound.
I know this comment is a year old, but Creeper is really a good band i recommend them to a lot of people, this cover is just disappointing and almost lazy imo

No one:
Me trying to sing in the shower:
HES NOT IN THE RIGHT TIME IN THE BEGINNING AND ITS KILLING ME
Brandee Kaplan SAME
I appear to be one of the only ones with this opinion, but this is freaking great. I mean, it's not MCR, but nothing will ever be MCR and we just have to accept that. Creeper is great. This cover is great. Yeah.
wait this might actually be good, I love creeper I'll give my opinion once it's over
His vocals aren't even bad. It seems like you guys don't like it just because he's not Gerard. If there's anything you should be complaining about, it's how watered down and lifeless the instruments sound compared to the original song.
it sounds like he was singing on the toilet to pass the time.
This is a great cover, except the one part that was cut out, how dare you
Well, I'm probably the only one, but I like it anyway 😂
Alien Killjoy Kaulitz yeah I actually do to because creeper is an amazing band. obviously it's not near as the origional, but they did a really good job

Me too
Same
there's a lot of negativity in the comments but I personally think this sounds rad
i liked it
simple because its a tribute for my chemical romance
I will admit, I was scared to listen to this. I love MCR and Creeper. They covered the song well, however, it will never be as good as the original.
Not really bad but could've been better.. Love the drumming tho !
Nah y'all tripping, this is fire 🔥 it's channeling Gerards raw energy
he sounds bored :p
Those drums tho
listening to this songs makes me appreciate Rob Cavallo's producing skills way more
THIS IS OBVIOUSLY A DEMO QUALITY - POOR MIXING, POOR MASTERING
I'm gonna be hated for this but I love creeper and I think this cover is amazing. Some songs that have been covered are okay some are a bit bad and some are amazing. agreed, but they could've mixed this version better
Some things must left untouched
Awww man.
Haha... g-get it cuz their names creeper?
I'll show myself out.
Personally I like the voice, sounds kinda Eddie Vedder country like, which is a nice touch, almost half of my life since this album....

2:38 is not bad really
true
Anyone in 2019?
i love creeper and I love this
While I can see some flaws, at the end of the day, it's still a cover and I think it did its job well.
People need to chill out, they're covers
disenchanted
Creeper are one of my favourite bands but did they fucking massacre this song Jesus Christ
Y'all hate this but... It sounds like Creeper. They're not used to such a fast pace song. It just sounds like them
I like it when Will sings with power. Why didn't he do that
I really like this cover! The mixing on the vocals is... sad though.
I love creeper as a band but holy fuck was Will _struggling_ in this song. I wonder if they could've done better, especially the "can you hear me cry part" with Hannah in the band
THIS IS MY FAVE ON THE ORIGINAL ALBUM PLS
and it....was destroyed...
Creeper would’ve been better off with mama or house of wolves, still love them tho!
I love Creeper but they literally left out the best part of the song
i dont totally get the point of making a cover album,,,,,,,but i stan creeper and mcr so im a fan :)
it’s pretty good
well until it gets to the actual best part of the song it is lmao
You didnt even include the best part of the original song, ray’s shred while Gerard is screaming, YOU WANNA SEE HOW FAR DOWN
Oh my fucking God...this reminds me of those videos where an unknown RUclipsr edits their voice over a song's instruments. You know...the videos that get 42 views and have 9 dislikes and 0 likes?
I don't know about this one..
If you pulled the vocals and made it an instrumental cover it would be great
This hurts cuz I love Creeper but this was crap
Omg this is awful, sound like karaoke
once again would’ve been better if it was pierce the veil tho
Absolutely adore Creeper but this isn't a patch on the original. I'm not sure what has gone wrong as Will Gould is a superb vocalist. As for the "Black Parade" being left alone, Twenty One Pilots version of 'Cancer' is better than the original, not that the original was bad......
No way was the cover better than the original, I totally respect your opinion, but Twenty One Pilots made it too electronic, it lost a lot of emotion
Well, I just got the best laugh of my day reading you say Twenty One Pilots were in ANY way better than MCR.
Sounds like his voice is being drowned out by the instruments
This just sounds like a demo? Why? It sounds like they just released the wrong version of the song. And the drums are way too loud
0:01 wheres my fucking go?
The end of the bridge is fantastic, but his vocals are absolutely muffled on the rest of the song.
Wow MCR's fan base is pretty judgemental. If you guys can do better I challenge you
"I've never flown a helicopter, but I'm pretty sure, if I saw one in a tree, I could tell you that somebody fucked up."
The "you cant do it better" argument is hella wack.
Okay this isn't as bad as everyone is saying I mean at least they tried
Aweful cover
meh
Long life The Black Parade
#MCR4ever
I’m not saying this because “ohh it’s not Gerard so it’s garbage” but I don’t like this one I guess it’s just the voice not for me
this is so fast
아 이건 좀
NO
good enough,t not the best that he could do, tho
This is awful. His singing is about as bad as mine 😅
Actually, it's just more raw vocals. Have you ever listened to MCR live? Gerard sounds similar.
Rxcyclxd x If that's what you think, obviously you haven't seen them live then. Either that or you have some hearing problems.
Go listen to their early live performances. "Bullets" era. Even Gerard's vocals can be rough.
Panic! At the Black Parade But, Gerard was majorly pissed. And anyway, great cover. He has a really unique voice, it is quite...light, for a punk band.
Personally I think Will( the person who sang this) did a great job and it doesn't have to be the greatest thing in the world because it's just a cover :)
is the Singer tone deaf?
The begining was fuckin' terrible. Otherwise, good cover.
OH GOD HIS SINGING IS AWFUL AND THEY BOTCHED THE BEAT
WTF???
The outback cowboy feeling at the start... they changed it. This is still good though.
Demn the Frerard's Scream was shit here :"C.
So i realize why MCR had to found his own style cause the Core trending wasnt right for the story of the Cancer guy.
Watherver wasnt bad at all, nice.
hands down the worst cover on this album. even TOP did better
Creeper butchered MCR :(
The quality was bad and the singing isn't all that great for a cover. All in all, it's bad
okay this is disappointing worst one yet.
The singing isn't good on this cover. He's off key on certain points in the song, and he's all over the place.
Holy shit, this sucks. Pop-punk needs better new bands.
The band is good but this cover is not
Esto apesta de verdad. Una canción tan buena y la han arruinado -.-
vocal it's really bad..
every cover on this album sucked, the only one that was decently good was the Sleep cover, and that songs just hard to fuck up.
Did they cut out the bridge?
am i the only one that actually likes this? 😭😭☹️
omg wait he sings rlly bad send help
