Legit I was ready to just sit here and watch an entire short series of this plot line, I was even so emotionally invested I had to pause the video after he refilled the hole in the ground. So poetic, he doomed the world by not filling in a hole and then doomed it again by filling one. Incredible writing

technically anyone living on the world could have filled them but they actively chose not to and instead blamed it all on the one guy even though everyone was at fault. this video is actually a really good metaphor for society.

I don’t fill them in. I tend to just use them as terrain features, I fill them with water or if it’s near a villagers house or mine, I’ll tend to use it to extend the house. I even use them as landmarks, as I sometimes intentionally set one off above something like a mineshaft that I can’t loot yet to mark it.

I would always keep a "killing fields" area near my bases, where it was a free zone to fight and kill mobs, and damage to the landscape was just left as scars on the world.

I generally excavate areas where creepers seem to spawn frequently and fill them with cobblestone and deepslate and put dirt on top, that way future creeper holes are easier to fill.

since lava can't be exploded, you can still find more, than make a nether portal, get a platform and wait for piglin and zombiefied piglin to summon. when you get enough gold from killing zombiefied piglins, you can trade with the normal piglin for dirt, which you can craft with a dirt to dupe dirt and save the world
You can trade piglins for dirt? Just use two dirt blocks and gravel from the nether.

A cool mod pack would be starting with a normal world and over the period of 8 in-game days the world disintegrates into the void except for your set spawn area and you then have to use the resources you gathered to hopefully survive

Me and my friends used to have a server with a designated area where we wouldn't fill creeper holes, safe to say it ended up looking like a warzone.

I actually have a world that I play on with my younger brother, and there's two places we frequent that we just let creepers blow up. There's literally a crater at once spot with a couple dirt bridges over top
Notice how the island has a fair area of grass and dirt etc, sufficient to build safer routes without gaps

If you briefly think about it, Creeper holes can never truly be filled. Their explosions do not drop 100% of the blocks, so all you effectively do is move part of the hole elsewhere, with that location being where you mined the blocks from.
By filling Creeper holes, you only delay the inevitable.
Well.. minecraft is infintitly generated, so you can not run out of dirt

I once made a mistake of covering them with just one layer of dirt.
the ammount of mobs spawned in those holes lagged my framerate into single digits.
That was incredibly depressing towards the end😭
