How do you regulate power factor of parallel running DG sets. I made a panel DG were synchronised both ACB closed but the power factor of one or both DG set was very low.
It is not always that we have to start on DO and then change over to HFO The ship I did the video the starting and stopping was on HFO However if u r starting on DO then u can change to HFO after it is synchronised and running normally. U can take about 15 minutes to changeover
Normally there is tie panel ebtweent he two sides so that in case of an emergency the two sides can be separated I mean to say that if something is wrong with one side of the MSB we can still run the ship by isolating one part of the MSB
what happens if we arrange load sharing manual or auto while we are paralelling the generators? in the video load sharing is in auto mode, i am asking the reverse situation.
Manual load sharing is accomplished by adjusting the speed input to each generator’s governor. Once synchronized, the generator will no longer change in speed when this control is adjusted, but the output of the generator will vary with the setting. The power produced by each operating generator can be adjusted by their individual speed adjustment setting to shift load from one to another generator and to share load.
man, this the most helpful video out there. short and precised
I love this content. It just gave me an in depth understanding of engine synchronization onboard.
Great Video Sir, must watch video for even experienced Engineers before joining the ship so as to revise all the inportant points.
the most helpful video about the topic on youtube. clear!
Just awesome and that you have done it in a language i can understand is quite noble of you. Thanks a lot.
Please do for other schemes
sir, you explaining is very nice. hoping for more content
Great work keep making such info video about ETO

Sir i just ask question . We start generator by d.o right ,so when are we going to change over it to h.f.o ?

Why 1 Air Circuit Breaker on one side and other 2 Air Circuit Breakers on other side in main switchboard ?
Normally there is tie panel ebtweent he two sides so that in case of an emergency the two sides can be separated
I mean to say that if something is wrong with one side of the MSB we can still run the ship by isolating one part of the MSB

crazy hyper.
why cant the main geanerator be paralell with either of the emergency generatos of a ship
Because there is an interlock between the main and the emergency generator.
It is as per the regulations
Sir we haue vcny rher??
Sir kindly post video by using multimeter how to synchronise , even u r at home by means of paper kindly show sir how to do
More helpful ,Ur mother languages

Si nu bandit
Great
Nice
thank you sir
