  • In this video I go through building a Mobula7 V3. A few short flight videos as well to show how it performs and I also go through my plans for it in the near future.

What temperature are you using for your iron?

I like running 400°C. Some might say that's a little too hot, but, works for me.

@@nxp200 Thanks for the reply! That does seem a little high, but it's working out well for you. I thought that I lifted a pad on my X12 Flight Controller, but it was actually just the ground on the battery lead wobbling around. The pad was being very stubborn and not taking the solder for some reason.

@@Greg__K no problem 👍. I don't think I've ever lifted a pad. Nor burnt any components. I try not to take too long on a solder joint to prevent over heating. I'm by no means a soldering expert, but have soldered long enough to make projects reliable enough for my purposes. Happy for people to ridicule and flame my work 😂

How do you mount the battery in that large tray?

    • @nxp200

I use small rubber elastic bands shown here 15:37

      @@nxp200 thanks a million! That is genius! I’m making a 1s & 2s whoop with Flywoo’s 1002 15500 kv motors. Its hard to find 1s & 2s whoops nowadays.

@@doodgeslagenmug I didn't show it in the video, but I also put a single twist before looping the other end of the battery. Makes an "X" shape with the band. This stops the band from slipping around etc.
Yeh. Not much variety out there and I like building my own so I can choose the components, or reuse various parts from other broken quads. Good luck and have fun flying!! 👍

@@nxp200 Thanks a lot for helping! Its nice being able to put together parts to your own preferences :)
