@@RBTheMechanic That was great. I've got a 05 TL. I got the Airbags module reprogrammed and when I put everything back together, I get a U0107 code. The DBW fuse keeps blowing ... any idea what's going on there ? Can't seem to find the relay for this DBW fuse.

Hello again. I did exactly what you recommended in this video. I had no rush due to it being winter. Swapped relays and BINGO, compressor is working. My only concern is a squeak when the compressor is engaged, but that’s it! THANK YOU AGAIN!
You’re the man RB. This was the exact issue on my 05 TL. Swapped the 7.5 Clutch fuse with the spare and topped of my refrigerant and the TL is back to life blowing colder air than ever. 10/10

You saved me some serious cash, I was looking a a whole system replacment. I replaced my compressor last year because an intermittent A/C issue. It slightly improved and this year I had nothing. Hey man, 105 degrees here in Oklahoma. I’ve been without AC for a couple weeks. Came across your video and looked at the fuse and relay. Once I swapped the relay it blew cold! I’m off to the parts store tomorrow to get a replacement. Saved me some serious $$$. Thanks!

RB, you rock man!! I have a 2007 TL-S and the dealership told me they needed to recharge the system to troubleshoot it for $500. Did exactly what you suggested, swapped the AC relay with the radiator relay, and boom, freezing cold air. Thanks for saving me a ton of money man!!

Just a HUGE thank you for this video. I have to take care of our four Honda cars. Replaced the front left motor mount on our old Ody yesterday. Rebuilt the power steering pump on my daughter's 07 TL. Today, my daughter says, "I didn't want to tell you, but the air conditioning doesn't work." AHHHHHHH!. Found your video. Swapped a good relay out and found that the compressor one was bad. $16 at AutoZone and it's perfect. Thank you for your honesty.

I bought some coolant recharger and the test said that there was some other problem so I found this video and it ended up being a $10 relay. so glad I didn't spend any money taking it to a mechanic

@@RBTheMechanic it's my second car but still runs like a dream with 250k miles. I'm going to keep it until the wheels fall off. if I was any kind of a mechanic at all I would change the valve gasket cover that needs to be done.. but that's too much for me so that's the next repair for my mechanic
@@cltbowz yeah those valve are good project I would do it myself mechanic shop will do lame job. Change intake gasket change spark plug bore gromets clean out the top lid internal air lines

@RBTheMechanic Update: So after doing the relay test, I bought a new relay from Acura and the Ac wasn't blowing cold anymore😢 (I rechecked with the relay testvagain and it was warm again😫. Do you know what it might be? I'm thinking maybe it's low on refrigerant, but when I bought the car from my nechanic, he said it was the compressor?

06 rsx type s. My ac would blow cold to cool sporadically. I switch the ac relay with the horn relay, now my ac blows cold consistently and horn still works. Thanks!

I have a 2006 Acura TL. About a year ago my AC turned from cold to hot air. I thought I just needed an AC recharge. I paid for a recharge and it Was cold for about a week... and then turned hot again. I’ve been told I need a new compressor...
I tried this swap with the relay and checked the fuse... seems like that not the issue...

Andrew Phelan the ac port the one that say low (L). Open the cap push the pin inside with nail or somthing see if pressure comes out keep ur face and eyes away ... check that if u have pressure let me know. If u don’t have pressure then this is the problem no Freon in the system and u have a leak. Then u can charge the system again and add dye to trace down a leak

I don’t really see the gas coming out but I can smell the sweet-smelling gas coming out.
Andrew Phelan try putting ac on and see if ur radiator and ac fan kick on and car engine feel like it’s underload if u can feel the ac system kicked on the fans then u might have bad ac compressor or maybe u didn’t check the correct fuse or relay

@@RBTheMechanic It’s not a problem! I appreciate your prompt reply. Next time you have an 04-08 TL. If you’re looking down towards the battery. In front of that battery lies what looks to be an air duct. Which I believe is for the resonator.

Man I appreciate you! I’m back to snowballing 💨 ❄️ again. It was just the 7.5A clutch fuse in the 12 position. I swapped it with the fuse in the 7 position which says BACK UP. What’s the meaning of Back Up / is that a spare ? Well any way you have a new subscriber.

Start with basic check up swap relay and check fuse and see how ac react if it dosent make difference then check to see if both radiator fans come on once u out ac on. That’s indication ur ac compressor is bad but u need to swap the relay first also check pressure.
I have a 2005 TSX, and the Driver's side AC control is stuck on "Hi" and it will not change. I need to replace the compressor but my mechanic said they need to "fix" the stuck on "hi" or it would not be worth repairing. Have you ever had a stuck issue with the dual AC controllers? Thanks Lee

Need to see if there’s a leak in compressor, condenser, or from inside where evaporator blows air inside the car. Can you show where the connections are to test for a leak?
Most common is condenser get hit with rocks and it leaks out but check all

Ran through 5 compressors, 2 online, 2 through the junk yard, bought a brand new one from the store, everything come up too $447 for the first 4, brand new one $280 flat cause I know somebody that work at the store that looked out. Changed the whole AC kit, flushed the system with AC flush, changed the condenser today, I’m exhausted 🤦🏾♂️.. didn’t change the fuse, could that solve the problem? (08 Acura TL)😮
Change the fuse and swap the relay. Before anything swap out the relay. Up date me what happnes!??

Well this car was blowing hot air ac system wasent working. U got to try the relay swap it is very common issue on Honda’s and Acura’s it’s worth the try

Question have 2014 Acura TL and it’s not blowing hot air. It blows little cold but not where it needs to be. Trying to see if it can be the fuse or something else .
Well if it’s fuse or relay it would completely shut down so I think ur system is low on Freon so the ac service and do it propperly use ac machine recover vaccume and add correct amount oil and Freon
My 06 TL when I turn on AC blows cold air sometimes and sometimes just warm air. It feels like something is not connecting properly. Can you tell me what it could be?
U might have low Freon check that pressure in the systym with ac running low side should be 34 to 45 psi high around 250. If low side is below 35 then u need to service the ac system e with ac machine ONLY

Bro I checked the fuse and it was good, didn’t know if the relay was good so I just left it alone. Wiggled the power wire going to the compressor and then Told my cousin to start it up. Saw that the ac was on but the clutch wasn’t spinning, I had forgotten to put the fuse back; as soon as it out it back on the clutch clicked on and I was back in business
Inmates the relay was issue cuz ones u play with it it start to work so replace the relay

Check for shorts. Try this trick pull the ac compressor connector off and then try the ac on if fuse dosent blow that means ur compressor coil is shorted

RB, ran across this video because of issues with my AC not blowing any air on my 04 TL. So I checked fuses (all good), swapped out the relays with new ones (still no air), swapped out the blower motor resistor ( still same exact issue). Any suggestions on next steps?
juan saucedo put the speed on high and see if the blow motor works also check power and ground to the blower motor maybe your motor went out

Before doing compressor I would high recomend have the ac systym recharge propperly with ac machine watch some of my ac recharge videos. Machine it dose full recovery vacuum and recharge correct amount. I think it maybe ur cars issue low refrigerant

Ericscutzboomin YT u can try the relay but when u add with one of those cans it’s not the best way too much pressure will cause it to blow hot or damage things try checking fuses and stuff but try having ac system vaccume and recharged and take it from there

I have an Acura TL 2006 and I had the compressor replaced. My air has not blown as cold since it was changed out. I had it recharged and vacuumed and it still does not get as cold as it use to. I've already spent over $500 on this Ac. Can you help me? I don't have a personal mechanic. I live in Atlanta and it's really hot right now.
Tammy Holder of your ac compressor is new u should have good cold air maybe they didn’t put enough Freon in the system .. or it might have too much. I would try to talk to them and let them know. Also before anything I just recently had Honda Accord same set up one of the radiator fans was not working that can also cause the ac not to make cold. Put the ac on and look to see if both fans on the radiator come on

I had freon added to my AC a couple months ago as my a/c starting blowing on slightly cool air.. A week later I wasn't getting any cold air and only blowing hot. I took it back to my mechanic the following day he tapped on the button to move it up to 90* and then back down to 60*. When he did this it worked and he recommended I not change the temp as something might be stuck. Once it got cold I moved the temp up to defrost my car in the morning. After a few times it didn't matter whether I moved it up or down it would only blow hot air with my A/C on. What are your thoughts RB The Mechanic?
You might have either control button bad or the mode nor motor
You have to locate the blend door motor and see if it works when it’s unresponsive also the mode door

@@lesawewin no it can be the control unit I believe it’s assembly but u need to test the blend door motors
My 08 TL will only engage the compressor clutch (and will blow cold air) when I use the “auto” button on control panel. If I turn it down on the control panel to 1-4 bars the AC doesn’t work(blower is working but air not cold). Is that still likely the relay?

Tom Mcilravey usually over time it gets clogged u can blow air in it to clean it out soft air it should be down below u have to lift up the car on passenger side follow the ac lines where they connect to firewall right in that areas but under the car
My AC works but blowing warm air... Can this be a relay as well? Last year I've added ac coolant in the car and it works for one day and then started blowing out warm air again. Please let me know... thanks
My Sneah try checking if ur car has ac gas it might have a leak if it only worked for a day check that if it has no pressure defiantly has leak and need to be repaired

One of my headlight would turn on the other would go off after some days both went off , when I turn them on once again they work but turn off once again , I can’t find the fuse box to see if it’s a fuse do you know where it’s located at anyone please hel ??
I don’t think your fuse is bad once fuse goes out they shut down completely never come on unless u change the fuse. Seems more like the HID bulb. Dose ur car have HID lighting system
@@RBTheMechanic oh damn because whenever I turn them on the light bulbs turn on but after some seconds they go off again & yes I do have hid light on it
@@gloperez4673 yup that what usually his bulbs do they will flicker. It could be the blaster but start with bulb one side at a time make sure u turn off lights before touching it

Driving down road in 2004 Acura TL.
A/C is ON and Fan is on Low.
All of a sudden Fan goes on HIGH by itself. Then I notice A/C has stopped working too.
Now have NO A/C and Fan stuck on High speed.
I never came across somthing like that it could be the control unit
With car on or off does it matter

Well, mine works on the A/C part. Will it work on the heat part cos mine blows cold and winter is around the corner.
Bnza 1 well test the heat put the heat on and let me know if u have heat because heat system is different it dose have blend door motor that can be fault we will take one step at a time check to see if heat works

Are all fuse the same like the ones inside can they go into the hood fuse box

Mine only blows cold when I’m driving. If I stop at a light or Am parked it blows warm air. Could that be the relay as well?
Jorge Garza no I think you have low amount of Freon in the system it seems like when ur engine Reve’s and ac compressor is Turing on high speed it pushes enough Freon to make it cool ... it can also be compressor that dosent build enough pressure unless on high speed sooo... start with adding lil bit of Freon to see if that resolve the issue of it dose then have the system serviced with ac machine so they can vaccume recover and add correct amount of Freon
