How to Film Yourself Playing Keyboard to Live-Stream, Record or Zoom!

- Use OBS three ways with your digital piano or music keyboard to live stream, record yourself and upscale your online music lessons via Zoom and Skype. In this step by step video you will learn how to film yourself playing your digital piano or keyboard using multiple camera angles; a virtual keyboard; a manuscript view, and chords and intervals. And you can do all this on a super low budget with your mobile phone and a modest laptop! (in this video I use a PC Windows laptop and android phone, you can do just the same with mac and iPhone)

Just want to say thank you again for this video. I am working on this, a little every day. It's like everything else, easy when you know what you are doing, and have some experience! Tonight, for the first time, I got both of my cameras working, and both showing up, and also have Chordia showing as well. I ended up buying two cameras, at Best Buy, and paying for them over one year, which is manageable. I tried my camcorder, and older Canon camera, but they just wouldn't work with today's latest technology. And, I'm happy I made that decision because the video quality is great. I got two of the Canon R50 model. The real problem I am having is with sizing now. When I want to size, the whole picture is moving, and I can't crop at all. So, the problem is with cropping. I tried the Alt. key, and dragging, but there must be something I am missing. You don't need to reply to this. I will do some further research and figure it out. But, just so you know, this video of yours is one I watched a long time ago. I kept telling myself that I was going to do this, and it's finally coming true. My calling is to share music with the world. I will be making videos on how to play country piano. It will be a full course on this. There isn't much out there on this so far. Again, thank you for being such an inspiration to me and so many other people!

Hello Jane Thank you for this very excellent and thorough presentation. I am actually a Linux user. Still the segment on OBS setup was extremely helpful. I 'walked in' knowing very little about it. I know a good deal more now about how to set it up, operate it and record. I was going to use kdenlive to record ( and eventually I will ). Yet I think that I might have an easier time working with OBS. The interface does not seem as overwhelming. The things that I lack are the audio interface, the scissors stand for the camera and Chordie. In place of Chordie, I'll have to use something called VMPK ( Virtual Midi Piano Keys ) which is designed for Linux. It can only show piano keys on the screen. That's the extent of its functionality. So I have a little ways before I can get started. Yet, this has been very helpful. Thank you
