Thank you, thank you from this grateful American woman! You may have saved my life! I had an aggressive bladder cancer with a high degree of recurrence and could not have any chemo or radiation after surgery because my bladder is partially made if intestines due to a condition that I was born with. I decided to throw away my American diet and I eat VERY differently from everyone in the US, but I don’t care because now I am eating like the French! To keep my carb count under 20 and not including fiber I eat lots butter, cheese, yogurt, fish and meats and nothing processed! I even added a square of your dark chocolate 90% every day and it has not affected my numbers! The only thing different is that I don’t eat any bread or fruit. But as of today I am cancer free for 1 year and I feel great and plan to continue this way. Thank you for making me feel connected to people again! Mostly everyone here doesn’t understand me but it’s ok because I have you! ❤ Thank you! Thank you! 🙏
Hello thanks for your feedback and your nice comment. I'm glad that my videos are useful to you. and also that you have found a way of eating that makes you feel good and healthy. Bread and fruit are there only for taste and energy and if you prefer to avoid them it doesn't matter. if what you do today works and you feel good that's the main thing. Thanks, have a nice evening ✨
I probably should have mentioned that American bread is NOT French bread! We do not regulate our bread here and the labels are very deceiving. I may incorporate fruit in the summers when it is in season at my local farmers market. I am inspired by every dish and seeing the French lifestyle. As long as you are making videos, I will be here to watch them! the French eating and lifestyle. I am inspired
Congratulations on your remission! Do you eat any vegetables? I’m thinking of a radical change in diet and lifestyle and would appreciate any insights or guidance. What do your meals typically look like? Thank you 🥰👍❤
I do eat vegetables but since they contain carbs I choose my vegetables depending on what else I am eating that day. My go to veggies are green beans, cauliflower, and broccoli. I avoid potatoes, corn, and peas because the carb count is usually high. But I am doing an extreme low carb diet that I modified from what American doctors recommend to a more French style of eating. This diet has tons of fat and dairy in it which provides flavor and also make you feel full so you feel full even if you are not eating as much as you used too. So I my green bean dish has shallots and butter
I love how down to earth this is...."My plant looks like it died!". Beautiful shots of the city, a very practical breakfast and lunch and dinner. I love that you based dinner on what you had that you needed to use! Thank you!
Your videos are beautiful in their honesty and simplicity. You are helping me heal my relationship with food. I love Paris (come often and Place des Vosges is my favourite spot). Nutritious, delicious food made from scratch in 1/2 the portions I would eat. Thank you. I enjoy them so much and I am so very grateful
Yes unfortunately I won't be there for the opening as I have a trip planned this weekend for my job. But I hope I will be able to go soon. Thanks for watching. Have a nice evening ✨
Hello our supermarkets are filled with a lot of fake foods too. But I read that the French on average consume 30% of these ultra processed products Vs 70% in certain other countries including Usa. 30% is already a lot but that means that in general we stick to our traditional way of eating and I hope we're going to keep these habits. It's the only way to stay healthy. Thanks for watching ☺️
What vegetables do you eat during the winter that are seasonal in France? Here in the US you can get any type of produce, but they are often transported over many miles from Mexico & not very good. I try to eat seasonal foods. Thank you for your content 🙏
Hello, we have access to everything here too and it comes from Spain and Morocco. But for my part I try to eat mainly seasonal vegetables and fruits. In France it is mainly carrots, leeks, turnips, endives, some winter salads and in fruit mainly apples and citrus fruits and kiwis which come from the south of France. Thanks for watching, have a nice day ☺️
In the US it’s pronounced Clementine too. Usually sweet but not always. You are fortunate to live in such a walkable, spectacular, vibrant and interesting city. I visit France every year and Paris especially in January. So beautiful, incredible food options and still featuring decorations and festivities from the holidays. And friendly and welcoming people, I’ll be there on January 10 until the 31th. Will be exploring the western part of France too. Thank you for your educational videos. Bientôt…Joseph.
Thank you for the recipe...I lived in France for a good while...in Paris then moved to Orleans then back to Paris where my son was born...so he is French citizen as well as American...I love your channel...it is good to see your pics of the city...so beautiful..I can't say I miss it because we do visit often...I have a lot of friends in different cities in France and Germany...
We also call that small orange a clementine. We pronounce it like wine. Or a tangerine, maybe. Is pronounced like your clementine. And than Trout is pronounced like out. Sorry, just trying to help, but that sounds a bit Parisian, doesn't it? Your video made me hungry and your stroll home looks inspiring.
Mandarin orange is an option..? Paris is soooo beautiful in twilight, very reminiscent of Edouard Cortes' paintings. I love your videos and will definitely try those dishes.❤
Hello. Thanks 😊 In fact, I don't use nuts or dry fruits very often maybe once or twice a month. It's the reason I had to use them up. Because I just don't think to use them. Have a nice day!
Hello. Thanks! I would say around 7 kilometers per day when I go to my office on weekdays. On weekends it's around 8 to 9 as my clinic where I work on saturdays is further away and I also like to go for walks on Sundays outside of Paris. I really need these walks to feel good. Everyone finds their own way to relieve stress, for me it's by walking. Have a nice day!
@ Is this your form of exercise? A lot of folks in the US go to the gym, but I think if everyone walked (as you do) gyms would not be necessary. What are your thoughts? Thank you 🙏

Thanks for watching ☺️
Paris is such a beautiful city! So glad that Notre Dame is officially opening again this week!🇨🇦
Yes unfortunately I won't be there for the opening as I have a trip planned this weekend for my job. But I hope I will be able to go soon. Thanks for watching. Have a nice evening ✨
One thing I noticed immediately was NOT a single processed bit of food or fake food. All whole real foods here big difference than in America.
@@TheSnerggly Yes! Me too! ❤️

Beautiful trout dish! I loved the view of Notre Dame and the light from the Eiffel Tower, too.
Glad you enjoyed it!
We call them Clementines in the USA.
My husband is Swiss ( Zurich) and usually eats similar to you. Love your channel.
Thanks ☺️
Thank you also for the views of your beautiful city! I visited Paris once many years ago and it is still amazing!
You're welcome. Yes I'm still amazed myself every day ✨😊 have a nice evening.

Loved this video! Such a great trout recipe, thank you! May I ask what cookware it was for trout cooking, looked a bit unusual. Thanks a lot!

Hello. Yes you're right for Édouard Cortes. Love his paintings! Thanks for watching ☺️
Great video. Beautiful night scenes. I wondered if you use dried fruits and nuts thanks for the ideas.

Hello I also workout three days a week at home. Walking is great but not enough to build and maintain muscle mass / lean mass. Merry Christmas
Clementine is what we call it in the USA too
Thanks 👍
I had smoked trout last night!😅 Not as nice as your dish though🙋♂️
In France trout is not so easy to find, smoked a little more especially around Christmas. Your comment makes me want to buy some ☺️
Clementine
Oh, the night scenes are just beautiful ❤ Thank you.
Glad you like it 😊
