Just wanted to stop by and say thank you. I cooked chapati’s today using this recipe and they are so soft and tender. My family enjoyed it. I used whole wheat flour.
I see a lot of experience in every single step, and you give impression of enjoying the process. Thanks for such detailed instructions and I'd like to say how nice it is to find a channel without the usual levels of hype. How hot is the pan that you make these in? My wife only eats whole wheat when she can, so I was wondering if using whole wheat flower would change the texture and or taste too much to be recomended, or if that would be a good option?
Hi! To get a round chapati, the dough should never be flipped over. Instead turn it clockwise. In India, if a woman can make round rotis (chapatis), it's a sign she can marry but I guess you are already married, no worries! 😛 Thank you for sharing your recipes!
Thanks for watching, the best way is heating on a cast-iron skillet until just hot on medium heat. The other way you can heat in microwave for between 25 and 30 seconds, the oven at 350F will also do. Just keep an eye as they might easily dry out.
Parchment paper is a better alternative to place your chapatis on after they cook instead of paper towels. If you want some smoke flavor on your chapati, cook them directly over a hot weber charcoal grill... ummm... they tasty and the whole neighborhood know someone is making some fresh bread

Such a good demonstration! Thank you
Wow. I can almost feel tearing them apart using my fingers when they're fresh and melting in my mouth when i use a piece to eat my meal.
The yogurt makes them so soft.
Perfect, well demonstrated
Nice…

@@chefdwainaina Thanks so much, I made those yesterday my family ate all of them. I will make more tomorrow. Those are so good.
Thanks so much for the additional ingredient which is yourghut. Can either do flavoured or plain?
Plain yogurt works better for me, test both for you.
Ooh Mr Wainaina is shaking to Internet with amazing cooking, (Shiru)
Must try this
Nice work! Just wondering where you guys take all the food after the cooking!😊😀
Good question! It's actually the same food we enjoy. Fridge and freezer are our friends.
Can I use coconut flour and just olive oil instead of the seed oil ‘canola’? Or what is the other option?
That is my recipe. I normally blend well ripe avocados with yogurt instead oil
❤

Thanks so much for watching, you can skip yogurt or use buttermilk.
Ç'est un vrai délice mais c'est dommage que les mesures
ne sont pas en gramme
The USA doesn't use grams. Google conversion
