I’m fired up. Mine are on the way. I’m playing JPX 923 Tours and I can’t wait for a little more forgiveness and that sweet Miura feel.. Get here get here get. I’m a 1.9 handicap
how’d they compare against the 201s? that’d be an interesting head to head, or consideration for a combo set if they are materially more forgiving than the 201s but similar look and feel
A suggestion…when reviewing clubs I would love to see you hit 3 more on the toe and 3 more on the heel side and maybe 3 a couple of grooves low. The marketing says forgiving but seeing it and having some sort of comparison to a baseline would be good for us to see. When you pure every shot we don’t get that kind of data. Golf is a game of misses. How bad / playable are your misses determines your score. Thoughts?
Cool Clubs has a channel that does what you are talking about but if that's the info you need, these ain't the clubs for you. While it's a cavity back club, it's definitely for the better ball striker.
I got fit last year at truespec. I got the miura 301. I struggled with the offset. I know people talk about how good miura feel. I personally prefer the srixon feel of miura. So they were out of my bag within a few months. I always wanted a miura iron. At this point, I know for me, they are not for me.
@@92SAITO92 I have the new ZX Utility 3 & 4 in my bag and I am a hardcore TItleist player which says a lot... I hit the ZX7 MkII irons and hated them. I couldn't hit a single good shot.
Whats the price point of Miura ? Sad to hear you got fitted and you like Sricon better..sometimes even at fitting you have to include YOUR feeling alone not just what numbers say...
@@gasperstarina9837 Miura heads are $350 a head. Definitely not for everyone. I agree feel is a big part of the fitting as well as the numbers. Been doing fittings for 10+ years and feel, sound, looks is all key to the player.
Ryan - Yea the 301’s were solid as well. Sorry to hear that. I just got fit and it was actually between the Zx7 and 302’s. Fitting video coming soon on my channel with that fitting. Full disclosure: That’s me testing with Blake in that video. Any fitting, club, shaft questions I can help if needed. - Tanner
Cool video, thanks. Just curious what do you think of the Mizuno JPX 921, 923 tour irons? You may have done a video on that, if so, let me know. May you hit nothing but fairways and greens.
David - Great iron. Not the most forgiving out there but great feel for sure. I just fit a scratch player into the 923 tour heads recently. I’ll see if we can do a video on those heads. I have a full fitting video of me coming soon on my channel as well. - Tanner
@@ryancarroll8086 Depends on what you're going for. TC201 would be the more consistent transition. 502 would pair with TC201 as a combo. 302 to 502 would be a fairly large jump.
My set will be built up in the next week or so. I play to a 3 trending down. I don’t like a big top line so we’ll see how the shorter irons play. Excited to test them. I’ll let you know how they look and play.
@@gasperstarina9837 Appreciate you. Yes I am. It was pretty close but the 302’s actually just beat out the Zx7’s. I fit the Srixon’s a lot though. Great iron. The 302’s were just a touch better for me.
Gorgeous clubs, but with even a modest graphite iron upgrade, these weigh in at $ 400 per club. I love capitalism....but at this price, no thanks. I'll pass.
Since you all have access to all the data, could you please add … peak height and descent angle? It would be helpful since the definition of ‘piercing trajectory’ is somewhat subjective. Thx.
Will do Jones. I’ll make sure I discuss the peak height and landing angle on the next video. For reference average peak height for Tour players is around 90 feet and decent angle is close to 45* is what we’re shooting. Obviously depending on the player there are different optimal numbers and limitations. But I’ll keep that in mind for our next video. - Tanner
Jones - I just got fitted into the 302’s myself. Will have the set in the next week or two. I can let you know how they perform on the strikes. Should be solid with the added forgiveness. I’ll have a full fitting video soon on my channel. That was me testing with Blake. Let me know if you have any questions. - Tanner

I play the 921 forged and love them!
How do these compare to the 201 in regards to forgiveness and feel? Thanks
The 302 offers more forgiveness than the 201 and the feel is great, like every Miura iron.
What would be good to combo these with?
Which end? If you’re wanting these in the long irons I would say the TC201 would be the better short irons.

Definitely not when comparing these to modern day distance irons.
