I teach kickboxing and MMA. My quote that all the fighters on my team know by heart is "footwork is the key to everything."
Learning to use the two linear sticks to gauge explosive or metered stepping was really a fantastic tip. Also doing the hourglass pattern both directions for a few minutes was quite the cardio workout!
I love the footwork in Kali. It’s pretty amazing.
Going to train it this evening back to France to give a break to my shoulders. Keep faith, your contents are great.
Kali center is the best of the best!
Thanks! 🙏🏻
Super Paul, a big hello from Germany
Nice , thank you 🙏
Great info and combat ready. Plus legs get a work out. Thank you
Been working on my footwork for the past couple of weeks. For my this was the perfect set of drill at the right time. Thanks
Been looking forward to this, I've been enjoying these kali videos, it's a new art to me, and quite fun to learn
Welcome to Kali!!!
Thank you. Footwork is really a key element in all fighting styles.
Thanks for watching and commenting! 🙏🏻👍🏻⚔️🤺
Great instruction, thanks.
Thank you 🙏🏻
Thanks boss
Really enjoyed this video! This is what I drill on a lot! I’m getting older, so the brut force isn’t what it used to be. Lol. So I know my footwork has to be solid! Thanks again! Love your stuff! Keep up the good work!
Excellent presentation.
🙏🏻🙏🏻
thank you, lesson is good to trian
🙏🏻
thank you very much sir...so inspiring and very practical and helpful videos for beginners like me...keep those videos coming...youre doing a lot of service to people...
Merci beaucoup, thank a lot for this lesson.
👍🏻🙏🏻
I understand that each footwork drill serves its own purpose(ses) - but the ranging angle, man, that one I like the most, exercise-wise speaking👍
Great tutorial - thanks guro🙏
Very owesome master paul..
Im your filipino subscriber, .. edward. I just used my wife"s phone for now😁
By the way, i used to train with your video, on the lane/pathwalk bcoz my house is very extremely tight😁.
Pathwalk is enough to swing my stick but sometime theres people passing by😔 and not enough space for foot work.
And i cant train outside bcoz here in philippines, kali is not realy normal on eyes of the people it looks awkward or stupid for them and i have no training mate , just me
And i like how you trian with nature, but in this city of philippines there is no nature😔 like you have
Nice Sir. Next the pasada footwork. Thank you sir.
I agree that footwork is a must in any martial art.
Footwork (I believe) is the base for power and positioning.
Bro you are really working hard. Like me☺️
Three stents last year in March. Want to step up my training and endurance. The stick work has done wonders for my arms. I do the foot work, but have been cautious. Now I’m feeling stronger, so it’s time to step up the level. ( pun intended) Thanks for your videos, I like this better than weights and I can go slow then pick up speed.
Thanks Guru 😊
👍🏻🙏🏻
Do some Kali styles call reverse triangle the sawtooth? Thanks great video
I love training footwork! Those large muscle groups take up a lot of energy and can really get you working out.
It's good with helping to keep your movement fluid with transitions and all kinds of stuff.
Unfortunately it's a very under-trained area at some martial arts schools.
I always do the diamond and square as parts of my warm up
They’re good ones 👍🏻
Thank you so much for this video. I've been wanting to see a video for the footwork. Have gone to seminars years ago with instructions from GMs Remy Presas, Roland Dantes, and Rey Dionaldo. Unfortunately my funds are low now so the information you are sharing is very valuable to people that can't afford classes or are in an area that doesn't offer training or one's work schedule conflicts with class times. Beautiful background. I'm curious as to what state do you live in.
Glad you’re getting a lot from the videos!!
Pinoy here, good job Sir
🙏🏻
Whether you box wrestle or do martial arts footwork is everything......
I love this channel and I want to get to doing the stream or whatever the monthly fee is....
Thank you very much for the video, it is very helpful. The only thing i do not understand is what strike i can apply in each movement of each of these footwork drill? For example when i move diagonically right forward i apply angle 1, when i move diagonically left forward i apply angle 2 but in all the other movements what angle of strikes can i apply? (diagonically left backward, diagonically right backward, straight back, straight forward, side left, side right) what angles of strikes can i apply each each of these movements?
KALI Center Apex online school will answer those questions. 👍🏻
@@kalicenter ok, thank you very much.
Isn't putting legs together a dangerous mistake?
