Munchies: Frankies Spuntino

- Опубликовано: 26 сен 2024
- We traveled to Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn, to meet the classically trained mystic meatballerinos behind the Frankies Spuntino empire. We'll say here and now that chef/owners Frank Falcinelli and Frank Castronovo are two of the kindest, most easygoing gents around, and that if by some insane and sad chance you don't know their food or faces by now, we're pretty proud to be the ones making introductions.

Aurelio Arroyo YES AHAHAHA i made my favorite dish to watch munchies vids ahahaha
Who the fuck else is locked into a Munchies spree right now?
Yeah. Blowin' a quarter bag and then watching Munchies was such a good idea.
BOL!!! CAUGHT ME!!!! LOL!!!
Do you find yourself in the kitchen thinking your a sous chef cooking up some shit after watching MUNCHIES ? Lmao
These munchie episodes have been my most favorite thing that has come out of vice's channel. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
No problem with any of it. It's just fun to virtually cruise around another city, eating drinking and smokin'. I'd love to live that way.
why would you cruise around a city and smoke?
giant regrigerator
Because it's fun.
8:05 i cried
THESE GUYS ARE AWESOME, THIS IS AN AWESOME SHOW. GETTING HI AND EATING AND DRINKING AWWSOOOOME!
that guy has a good soul
Feel like this original munchies videos need to appear in everyone’s recommended again. They’re really good
just watched it, seems like a bunch of down to earth chefs who enjoy to go out and eat.
"When you die and your done, your not taking anything with you except, what you did with your soul and how you enriched it." Greatest non-Bible words I adore.
I love genuine people with honest, positive hearts and intentions. Vice, thank you for showing the world just how dark - and how bright - the world can be.
I understand that. Its not always about the food though, I enjoy this vice series because of the whole vibe the chefs and people presented give off.
Right now watching it in the midnight. Imagine how i feel
i love how these dudes get blazed and go eat delicious, hearty meals
Huge fan of the Munchies series. I'm an aspiring chef and watching this gives me so many ideas! Thank you Vice.
I feel for these guys. Similar to David Chang, they owe almost all of their culinary success on one dish. Chang has his pork belly bun and the Frankies have their meatballs.
Wow thats pretty ignorant.
these guys r so chill love it.
Love his philosophy. "At the end, all you have is how you enhanced your soul".
"...it's about truly believing that what you're doing is something good, and what you're doing is the right thing, because when you die and you're done, you're not taking anything with you except what you did with your soul..."
Well said.
Best show on Vice. And what a couple of good guys, def going to Frankies
My favorite series on Vice.
so good. Anything stamped with the "vice" logo never ceases to entertain me.
They truly got the Munchies right for this one!!!
possibly best episode yet
Frank Castronovo seems like quite possibly the coolest person alive
You waited till the last to make it right. When you find a dancing bear, just dance. Or he might steal 'yer face!
These have been some of the only people on munchies that didn't feel weird or awkward with their 'friends' going out and eating around. Could be better editing but this episode was actually enjoyable. How some people are hating on it i don't know.
Yes. These gentlemen are living the life, the good life.
this was an awesome episode, love what they guys are throwing down.
A munchies episode that didn't downright suck. Never heard of these guys before but feels like I have known them all my life.
this restaurant is so amazing the plums and mascarpone is literally to die for
2 episodes of Munchies in two days? God damn, this is a good week!
One of the most legit munchies. Very honest episode.
There stoned as fuck. I love it
I ate here for the first time this weekend, can't wait to go back. In fact, I think I would go back just for the bread, best ever.
Yeah, this was a pretty good episode. I liked the guy who said "you came just in time for the final doobie man"
I take it they're absolutely loaded.. In the monetary sense
And stoned
SethHesio ahaha I KNOW RIGHT! :P
Stoner chefs is a good thing I guess ahaha they're dope as fuck. Literally.
This was awesome. These guys love what they do. Hope to eat at any of their restaurants some day.
I think this was my favorite MUNCHIES yet!
Love the mason jars as drinking glasses.
he has his own fucking show on vice ,besides that, those guys are fucking awesome.
I could only hope to be like these guys someday.
The highest Munchies guests ever.
I don't think I'm hip enough to watch this show anymore.
these two guys right here....they are some guys...
I love these guys
Jajajajaja very funny video that truly shows the begging of the Frankies, and look at them now. Pass the dutchie upon the left hand side!
love this guy
It would be an honour to eat your food. Respect and love your ways...
Well I got to the point of hunger where I watched this show. I need food.
I'm really happy that Wavy Gravy found such success with these restaurants
that oil has to be hotter that 110-120 degrees. dude's blazed
you're missing the point D.C. whether he meant that or not, my point is he's blazed. he's specifically talking about the oil temp when he says "keep it like at 110-120". He's blazed, I'm blazed, and you better be blazed.
LawGone1 touché
LawGone1 True, but could he be talking about in Celsius, but yes, he is most definitely blazed.
Micmastaz, 110°C would be 230°F. He definitely is not "reffer"-ing to celcius.
Perfect description.
Brooklyn? Why are they dressed like they're excavating in the Appalachians?
jarrgeez i don't think they're hipsters insofar as they're not part of a new-age apathetic accountability-dodging insincere clique of trendsetters. These guys have been around for a while and are in their late 40-s... and they do indeed know how to cook, they are classically trained (as is mentioned) whether or not you personally like the look of what they're putting out is another matter.
Hahahahahaha you made my day! So truueee
They dress nice.
Tee shirts are boring.
These guys have class. 👍
ruclips.net/video/2xHhWkz5aMc/видео.html
These guys are awesome!
First munchies episode where the chefs aren't hipster douche bags.
Good choice Vice!
the grateful dead of food.... how insightful
Best content on the web
love these guys!
Thank goodness I live in Bklyn. Totally going there.
ok well if you are being serious, then a piece of solid advice, is that you be yourself, and be happy within yourself, the truth is, happiness is a mindset or state of mind that takes practice to cement within. If you are happy, and do things that you enjoy you will gravitate to people who do the same, if you are always trying to fit in, you can never be yourself. Aim to have fun, not to fit in for the sake of it. If you are young, it's natural. If you're older, spend more time alone for a bit.
I cannot wait to be a cook there with a ton of prep searing hundreds of meatballs at low heat olive oil temperature.
Aha, I love Vice. Makes so many great things...
Love, love, love these dudes!
'The Grateful Dead of food', no better way to put it.
Irishfox that was awesome!
Stephen Taber :)
Awesome video!!!!
these two are freaking nozzles...
Great video, a couple of hard working , laid back brothers getting it done. Damn made me want one of grandma's meatballs.
am I missing something here? this video isn't about food it's about the frankies. when did we get these superstars?
Beer & Pizza. Best Combo.
well done vice. thank you for not showing us snobby people eating little plates. motherfuckers were drinking beer out of jars, fuck yeah. This is why I watch munchies
The Franks need more airtime
"you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know."
man that pizza looked awesome
excellent definition
Love this series :)
Ooh he said dubbie at the end bahah WIN
1:43 hi hunter hunt-hendrix
"holy shhhhhhhhhhhhhit!" totally stoned. Haha!
that song wuz awesome
Everything at Frankies is so delicious.
this series should be called "Vice crew likes free food so they leave the headquarters and stroke their favorite restaurant owners ego's." overpriced pizza tonight guys? sure, get the camera, i know a place.
The relaxing comforts of the wild west, mm I can feel it.
This episode consisted of hydro, ill flannels, and pizza. Felt at home... But, yo Vice. We really need new Eddie Huang, or some new ATL Twins episodes.
"..the grateful dead of food.."
I started a detox cleanse where all I do is drink healthy shakes for breakfast, lunch and dinner, 3 days straight... This is my last day and watching Munchies videos for the past 3 days has been TORTURE!
Ha! Proper genuine guys that love food! Keep em coming VICE! :)
some next level schooling there sir.
Spuntino has been out for a while. Is this an old ep reuploaded?
...It's not really about, like, how great we can be and how popular we can be or how much money we can make. It's really about truly believing that what you're doing is something good and what you're doing is the right thing, because when you die and you're done, you're not taking anything with you except what you did with your soul and how you enriched it...
Frank Castronovo reminds me of the drug rehab guy from the wire
long hair beared frankie reminds me of John Malkovich for some reason
There's nothing like beer and a wood fired stove that looks to be in a basement or backroom. Not exactly my way of showing people how to cook, but looks like you guys are having a lot of fun. Maybe I could come and teach you a few things someday?
SavvyMis yeah not when they own multiple restaurants, have traveled across the globe to be GUESTS for other chefs and have their own cooking manual, ever heard of a wine cellar? Yeah those are typically underground hence why it's in the basement
So Deep Man.
guess I'm making meatballs next
can anyone tell me the name of the dish that is on the thumbnail and it shows at minute 04.02 ??
These dudes are ripped!!!!
You should try only watching it when you have food/about to eat
I love these munchie videos but can we see other places besides New York?
Are those raisins in your meatballs? If so,my Mom made Sicilian dressing with raisins, tomato sauce ,onions, bread etc. but no one has heard of this thing.
+Madz Furious
yeah i tried one with cauliflower and raisins and bread and cheese, one of the best pasta i ever eaten!
