Great list Regan! My favorite one was probably the camera insert because that is an ingenious way to carry around a camera while staying under the radar. The big camera bags make it pretty obvious that there's some expensive equipment inside so I love the fact that you can go around unnoticed.

That's my favorite too! I'm usually wandering around alone when I travel, so I'm always concerned about getting mugged or pickpocketed 😬. Camera bags LOOK expensive, so I like being low-key so I don't draw too much attention. I bought a peak design backpack last year, but I still keep going back to my cheap one

I loved this video!! Such great tips! Do you have any suggestions on how to organize files on external drives? I feel like I'm a file/picture/video hoarder

I keep all my things for RUclips separate from my photos. Then I just organize into broad categories and years/dates. So I have a folder for Client Work, one for Travel (and subfolders for places), one for studio shoots. I think your organization will evolve over time and you'll figure out what works best! I know some people do keyword tagging in Lightroom to help find things faster, but I'm too lazy to do that myself lol

Great video! I couldn’t agree more about the spare batteries! I actually love having a memory card case and I even use two! One for cards that need to be imported and one with formatted cards. But I have way to many cards to keep track of. Regardless great video, loved hearing your input on the subject.

That's a really smart hack for the memory card case!! I clean mine off all the time, so I just toss them in a little bag. I finally bought a legit camera bag after 3 years of debating 🙃, and now they have special pockets there too. A holder is probably the safest bet though!

Oh no! That was seriously my biggest mistake when I started. I do love the star filter and I think the ND filter is really useful for video!

UV filters are good if you ALWAYS shoot in very lit up and bright locations, like deserts. Otherwise, it could burn your sensor out if you don't filter the UV out. But overall, that's like less than 1% of photographersd that are in this situations. They are sometimes useful to protect the front element, but putting a piece of garbage glass in front of your expensive lens isn't going to do you any favor for image quality. So I'd definetly skip them
Polarizers though, if you're a bit into landscapes and car photography, when you shoot things with lots of reflexions from the sky (typically, a car's windshield or a lake) those are SUPER DUPER useful, and I couldn't count how many times having a polarizer got me a better picture. Just like the UV filter, that's not for everyone, but a bit more care is put in the making of polarizing glass, so you loose less image quality overall compared to a UV filter (you do loose a bit of light tho), but they are definelty a thing to get even if you don't think you'll need one. Polarizers are designed to filter some wavelenght that have been polarized. The sun light, is not polarized. Reflexions off surfaces like a window pane, lake or even rocks on the beach can be dimmed down with a polarizer wich is really usefl for a lot of people.
Same thing with ND filters, sometimes your camera can't go low enough in exposure if you want to do a 30s exposure for example. Adding NDs can help you get a correctly exposed image
