You're all brave just going to school in the US! So many of these terrible shootings. I'm curious why they haven't put emergency exits in the classrooms so kids can escape? And for multi storey buildings something like planes have, with a slide to the ground. Classrooms over here in Oz have to have an emergency exit by law for fire etc. How many lives would it save to lock the class door from inside, and kids escape from the fire exit in class . Kids are trapped in these rooms with nowhere to hide! There has got to be some other security measure in place. And why don't they have a PA system that teachers can warn every other class of the emergency. But a quick emergency fire exit will save lives!
@@missvixn1 yea i was thinking the same like have a panic room to go into in each class with a bullet proof door and water and first aid kits, just something for these situations. Then she says she heard cops on walkie talkies shortly after the gunshots, but then preceded to act like the gunshots went on for hours...he or whoever shot the school didn’t attempt to shoot her or the people in that classroom so she didn’t save anyone’s lives.
By calling the cops doesnt mean she saved anyone. In Texas the teacher also called the cops and they stood outside while 2 teachers and 19 kids got slaughtered. This teacher and her students are just lucky the gunman didn't come to there room and that is what saved them.

Every time there’s an important 911 call, the operator is like “huh? Wait what.” As if they thought they were supposed to be taking drive thru orders and didn’t expect emergencies…..
I thought the same thing. The very first thing she said was crisp and clear. And was followed by a firearm sound coming through the receiver. Dispatcher goes "hello?".

@@taylorpilewski exactly ..
amen! 🙌 im in Buffalo NY which just experienced the supermarket shooting a couple months ago, where there was yet another despicable instance by a 911 dispatcher. Someone called 911 from the supermarket pleading for help/whispering while hiding; the dispatcher apparently couldn't comprehend the concept of someone being in distress, questioned/criticized her whispering, then hung up on the caller. Pathetic that these dispatchers have ONE job yet can never seem to understand that callers are not always screaming and crying, sometimes they are trying their hardest to stay quiet or even speak cryptically just to stay alive. If a dispatcher cannot handle their important responsibility to listen, figure out the problem, stay on the line, remain calm etc, GET A DIFFERENT JOB.

She was very clear gave the location and info of a suspected shooter(confirmed by gunshots) , and she did it very fast and hung up as to remain quiet. Very impressed with her composure in that terrifying moment. Whether the dispatcher got that information and dispatched it is irrelevant. She did an amazing job. Terrifying to listen to, knowing innocent kids were being gunned down at that time.
I get that he has the right to a jury, but having the audacity to request one and make everyone go through this again is so scummy. All over decreasing the chances of getting sentenced the death penalty...? I wonder if he at least has the self-awareness to see how ironic and selfish it is.
I don't think he does. Maybe in the future he'll see that, but it's way too late for regrets now. I was a pretty disaffected youth myself and speaking from that frame of mind, you don't have the understanding about the world to know the massive waves of trauma this sends out. He needed help before this happened, and a lot of it, but again; it's just too late now. I try not to be vindictive but school shooters deserve whatever they get.
Doesnt everyone get to have a trial regardless of the amount of evidence between both parties??? Its not something you just request.

How is America the best country in the world? A country where anyone can access a gun whenever they feel like is not the best country in the world. I’m sorry. From 2009-2018 there has been 288 school shootings in America. In Canada there has been 2. Mexico the second highest at 8. Look at those numbers. @@Ashley-cr4ow I actually take that back after reading your comment bc you are absolutely correct with everything you said.
The thing is this is extremely preventable. When school is in session they should all go on lock down and make it one way in and one way out each building. I think those operators, it always seems to take them a minute to switch in.
It should be like in the uk , for dv victims where there is a code you can say to them and they will understand instantly. If schools were given this maybe it would be easier, or better yet, politicians do their jobs and tighten the law.
I think everyone has accepted now, that nobody wants to have their’toys’ taken off of them but at least let the laws be tightened around them, they were quick enough to implement law to protect children before they were born , just not when they go to school it seems. The constitution around the subject is so confusing now because there has been so many court cases and amendments since it was introduced.
Admittedly, I’m British so the whole idea of even touching a gun sends me slightly in a spin, the only time we really see them is in London when our specially trained cops wear them and there are only a few of them. I know we all have rights but this is one case they should make a exception for. If you hurt kids and teachers you should be put in the express lane for the chair. I don’t think he deserves to put anyone in the position to relive his poor choices.
No one has rights to a fair trial unless everyone has rights to a fair trial...
Dumbest comment ever. All emotion no logic.
why an exception for him specifically? theres been way worse crimes committed where the person did not get the death penalty. it was very disgusting and unforgivable what he has done but he is like every other school shooter
Most of these lunatics have a death wish already. We need mental health ressources. Not just punishing existing murderers, that doesn't work no more
@Christian Toth disgusting comment.
I can’t stand that he sits there and doodles like a coward
He’s a coward and I hope he gets the needle
Yeh that’s good 😊
It must be so hard for her to sit there and relive the whole thing. But with the way she handled she definitely saved her students lives.
I do not understand how a law firm can represent a murderer. I get everyone is allowed legal counsel but don’t you feel like crap everyday that you have you represent someone like that?
If I was there I would honestly raise my hand and asked where the nearest dumpster was. It would be worth sitting in jail for one night because of this interruption. ;-)
I was thinking this earlier. Shame on lawyers who want to get a confessed mass murderer life in prison, instead of the deserved death penalty.
He wanted to be the next 'big' school shooter. He was, and now he should absolutely pay for it with his life, infront of all the families hes ruined.
You do know these attorneys are appointed by the court right? They literally have no choice but to defend their client to the best of their ability or else it would constitute as a mistrial.
It is the law of the land. Period. Lawyers are sometimes compelled by the state to represent horrid humans (if that is the correct term for these kind of creatures) Don't blame tham. They must represent.
@@conniekimble1782 True don’t blame tham.
Oh I love watching her videos on her RUclips channel. I feel horrible that she has gone through this.
@@gamma9141 very insensitive of you to say that.. and although she may “appear” okay online that doesn’t mean she is.
She’s like AoC miles away from the capital and claiming her life was in danger....the teacher literally had no clue what was going on.
@@gamma9141 ....dude, crocodile tears???? she went through a very tragic event, she will never fully get over that. I will hope you or your family NEVER have to go through something like that, it is traumatic
@@lastlime3792 why are you comparing this teacher to Aoc? There is literally no correlation.
@@gamma9141 First of all you clearly don’t understand the definition of hypocrite.. secondly I am more than capable to show concern and empathy to this woman as well as anyone else who was involved in and affected by that terrible shooting. Just like I am also more than capable to show concern for innocent people being killed by anyone, ANYWHERE.
I believe in protecting the innocent and this woman as well as all of the other victims of that shooting were just that.. innocent victims, who are most certainly still suffering from the events that occurred that day.
I don't know what to say man, I can't even watch this.
Poor soul 💔
@@gamma9141 she’s been through years of intense therapy. She also talks a lot about this if you looked. One of her students was killed and it caused her a lot of trauma to where she took years off of teaching to recover
@@gamma9141 okay and? People grieve differently. Just because you don’t see it doesn’t mean it’s not affecting her
She is very a hero so sad happing in the USA
Yes....all the "happing" is very concerning.
Hope that you will recover from this awful trauma!
Amazing woman
I didn’t know this was the school shooting she was part of. I’ve watched her channel and she’s struggles and had a tough time dealing with this. So traumatic 😢
