You're all brave just going to school in the US! So many of these terrible shootings. I'm curious why they haven't put emergency exits in the classrooms so kids can escape? And for multi storey buildings something like planes have, with a slide to the ground. Classrooms over here in Oz have to have an emergency exit by law for fire etc. How many lives would it save to lock the class door from inside, and kids escape from the fire exit in class . Kids are trapped in these rooms with nowhere to hide! There has got to be some other security measure in place. And why don't they have a PA system that teachers can warn every other class of the emergency. But a quick emergency fire exit will save lives!

amen! 🙌 im in Buffalo NY which just experienced the supermarket shooting a couple months ago, where there was yet another despicable instance by a 911 dispatcher. Someone called 911 from the supermarket pleading for help/whispering while hiding; the dispatcher apparently couldn't comprehend the concept of someone being in distress, questioned/criticized her whispering, then hung up on the caller. Pathetic that these dispatchers have ONE job yet can never seem to understand that callers are not always screaming and crying, sometimes they are trying their hardest to stay quiet or even speak cryptically just to stay alive. If a dispatcher cannot handle their important responsibility to listen, figure out the problem, stay on the line, remain calm etc, GET A DIFFERENT JOB.

She is a teacher who just was doing her job and since that day I guarantee she hasn't been the same since before this devastating tragedy happened. We must do better for students and teachers in every single school in this country. Elementary, middle school, high school and colleges and protect them. We can't let our guards down at any time. Because after such a catastrophic day we want some sense of normalcy again so we block it out the best we can and that's where we need to understand that we need to be on high alert no matter what!!!! It should be like in the uk , for dv victims where there is a code you can say to them and they will understand instantly. If schools were given this maybe it would be easier, or better yet, politicians do their jobs and tighten the law.
I think everyone has accepted now, that nobody wants to have their’toys’ taken off of them but at least let the laws be tightened around them, they were quick enough to implement law to protect children before they were born , just not when they go to school it seems. The constitution around the subject is so confusing now because there has been so many court cases and amendments since it was introduced.
Admittedly, I’m British so the whole idea of even touching a gun sends me slightly in a spin, the only time we really see them is in London when our specially trained cops wear them and there are only a few of them. Thankfully normal cops don’t, they’ve only used tasers for a few years, and that’s enough for the power to get to their heads and make them trigger happy.

I didn’t know this was the school shooting she was part of. I’ve watched her channel and she’s struggles and had a tough time dealing with this. So traumatic 😢
