- Need a little help with your song writing? The Digitech Trio might be just the thing for you. I bought a used Digitech Trio Plus on @ and the more I use it the more I realize how great this is to help songwriters create songs with different beats, different flavors then I would normally write. Not to mention the great tool this is for practice.

I just picked one of these up. I haven't had much time to play with it yet but it seems to have a lot of potential to be a great practice and songwriting tool. I was able to get a basic 12 bar going without any difficulty but I think I'm going to need to dig deep into the manual to get the most out of it.
Great for creativity, fun and practice.
I'd be quite interested to see how to combine the Boss VE-8 with the Trio Plus as a songwriting duo.

Deb your videos are great. I’m a big fan of the TrioPlus. It’s just too easy to overwrite your work or get tangled up live. Your vids have inspired me to purchase a Tascam 8 track to do some recording, backing tracks and such. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Been using mine for live gigs for quite a while now. Pedal is a big plus so you don't have to touch the pedal. All cover toons also. Just need patients to get the bass to cooperate.
I think this thing is perfect for a solo musician.
@@DebErney Oh yea for sure. You did a great job demoing it. I use mine so much that I got the 3 button switch that goes with it. Keeps the wear and tear down on the Trio pedal switches. You don't even have to touch the Trio at all while gigging except to change songs and change out the SD card. Keep up the good work Deb :)

As you can store 12 songs per memory card and easily change the SD card for more songs I don’t see why you can’t just play the songs back from the Trio+. The song will save the sequence too, so with five sections and multiple sections using the sequence feature you should be able to do most song types from the unit itself. I do backup my SD cards so I can always get songs back it I lost the SD card. Not sure why you recommended recording the songs to an iPhone etc !
Because the formatting for the Trio is not very user friendly and getting to each song is not as easily done as would prefer for live situations.
Enjoyed the video. I've had a Trio+ for a couple years, trying to move from Guitar based tracks to keyboards. Any tips on part recordings and song composition would be fantastic!
It would be interesting to see if the Trio works with a keyboard.

I think I've come to the same conclusion as far as using live is concerned.
I've had a Boss RC3 for a while and wondered if it makes sense to make backing tracks on the Trio+ and transfer them to the RC3 for live work.
Sounds like a big project.

Still holding up great. Buying used is not so “dicey” if you do a little research and look for key words, descriptions.
I have one I bought used about 2 years ago -- it is still going strong
Hello, with a trio plus, is it possible to record a loop with a certain sound (for example clean on the amplifier) and play lead on a different sound (crunch for exemple) When ido that, the looper is played in crunch sound and do not stay in clean sound. THank youfor answer.
The trio plus has a “lead/DISTORTED” effect you can use. Otherwise plug your effect box b4 the trio and it will record effect and play it back when you change effects.
I have one... had it a while, Just now getting back to using it. Would like to update the firmware and all the youtubes about this are from before they changed their website, can't locate any thing that is current. Any help would be appreciated!

@@DebErney Thanks for the reply Deb. I did this and the software (on mac) allows for archiving songs from the Trio...but I don't see anything about updating the Trio's firmware which I'd like to do.
