Thanks, looking forward to videos on how to make additional parts. So like a viewer asked earlier, how does one re-record a guitar loop? Is it as simple as repeating the process for the guitar demonstrated? Anyone?
I found if you turn off band side and hold looper button down the red lights blink and you can start again. If you have multi tracks it will delete the last one..........I think!!!!! It's new to me as well!!
Been debating this pedal for a long time. Just wanting to know if it's a good practicing tool.. I want fun practice back. like when i started 20 years ago
Thanks a ton for this video! One question Does the band learning button create a drum loop similar to sdrum? As in can it create a proper drum loop based on what we strum or does the drum section only pick a pattern from a finite set of preset styles?
Your Trio and SDRUM demos are streets ahead. Is it possible to use the both of them together? ie if I am gigging sometimes being able to lay down a rhythm with the SDRUM is more spontaneous. I use them both so that I can adjust them and have the FS3 on the floor. I want to be able to put them in series including the effects loop?
Hey! I'm a bassist that also plays guitar and I've been looking for a looper. I was wondering, does this support multiple instruments to be used at the same time? If not, what's an alternative that you'd recommend?
Thanks for the question. Well, here’s the thing. The TRIO produces a bass line for you so it might be a little counter productive. What I would look at is the SDRUM and getting a couple of JamMan Express XT’s and syncing them up with JamSync. That might be more advisable. If you’re looking for an all in one, the NuX Loop Core deluxe might also be a good choice. It has a rhythm machine built in and stereo inputs.
Alright thank you! I've just watched your video on JamSync and think I prefer that to the TRIO+ so will be looking into it. Was just wondering, what's the benefits to having multiple Express ST's instead of just one?
@@Cubic1612 Sure thing. Just keep in mind that the TRIO+ doesn't include JamSync. That's on the SDRUM. The benefit of using multiple JamMan's is simple. More parts can be recorded and triggered in sync with your beat.
if i plugs in, itll work. dont try that with amps tho.haha. for example, guitars work fine on bass amps but dont plug a bass into a guitar amp without turnit wwwaayyy down lol
HI could you talk about why the Prism + has eratic tempo issues? I can record two songs using a metronome and single notes at 100bpm and set bass to simplify etc and get really wide results from super fast tempos to perfect tempo?
This would be the perfect machine if i can SEE the loops via "racetrack"or any way beside 1 blinking light.. so i can know where am i on the loop...May be it will come with the new edition..
Thanks for the question. Well, kind of. You can always introduce a different bass part by using the simple bass function. Also, when you change the dynamic of the part, that will introduce a variation as well. Hope that helps.
@@themollymaguiresband.142 probably not. As per the manual "The TRIO+ autosaves all songs and loops on the included microSD card. Up to 12 songs (each with up to 5 parts with loops) can be stored to an installed microSD card."
Hello im a pedal guy as well , i have a question about this Trio +. what im wanting to do is send my Drums and Bass to two different amps so i can set the EQ differently for them , does this pedal have that option or will the bass and drums always go to the same source ?
@@BryanDenham Sure thing. Note that you can use the 1/8" output on the back to create a stereo feed of the bass and drums, which sounds a bit better than the 1/4" mono
This should do it 1.Press and hold the Guitar FX and Alt Time buttons while connecting the power supply. 2. When the lights start to cycle, you can let go of the buttons. 3. When the cycle wheel is fully lit, you may power the pedal off.
Thanks for the vid. It was a little intimidating at first but once I dove right in and hit pause button at certain parts it was easy. The drums still continue for like a half measure after the guitar part ends but I think it just takes a little more getting used to. Endless Hey Joe now!
I have this pedal, and i dont use it much.. Its pretty much a gimmick, but if you wanna practice to a metronome that sound a little like drums and a mechanical bass player that can go crazy in least expected moments, and your own loops then this might do the job to some degeree. It wont create a rockstar band for you, but rather construct some usable patterns you can practice to.. Sure, you can go wild and play live session with it if you dig hard in to it, but you will be much better off with a real band or at least backup track. This thing can construct anything so you never know what it will come up with, therefore it is not 100% suited for live performances.
Thanks for the thoughts Jack. However, you might want to watch a couple of my TRIO Tuesday's. It's a great tool to use in a live environment. Also, be sure to subscribe to the channel for all of the TPG content here.

Help!!! I can't clear a part on my Trio +. I have followed the manual exactly over and over but I can't get the BAND LED to turn green or solid red when teaching a part. It seems to be on just one of the parts I created- the other parts seem to be functioning normally. Is it because I can only clear the last recorded part? If so, does that mean the entire song I created has to be scrapped because of one part I can't clear? I have tried a factory reset several times but as soon as the unit comes back on, the BAND LED is still flashing red slowly. If I press it, it goes to flashing red quickly and I can't teach it a new part by playing. If I press the BAND footswitch again, it goes back to flashing red slowly. If I hold the BAND footswitch down for 2 seconds it just goes back to flashing red quickly again.
NM. I think that when I did the factory reset, I plugged the guitar cord into mixer and the mixer cord into guitar input- therefore, it couldn't record a new part because it wasn't getting a signal. Just wondering why it had to be reset in the first place. Have you ever seen that?
@@ThePedalGuy Thanks for confirming that sometimes it just happens. I thought that I had done something myself. When it happened, I was playing around with the FS3X pedal that I just got. It almost seems like something with that caused the initial problem. Prior to getting that pedal, I didn't have any problems.
Does anyone know if I can connect this into a headrush pedal board? Into the effects loop? I want to use the sound of the headrush but just the drums and bass on top? Not sure if the headrush would effect drum sounds?
am I able to use the guitar sound from my pedal board and keep it unchanged so it isn't over distorted or just not what I put into the trio+ ? I get the idea of switching genres and so on but what I put in from guitar or whatever needs to stay intact,,, anyone that knows I sure appreciate it.

Scott Wheadon sure thing. I would try plugging into a mixer to hear if it’s an output problem. Also just a basic question but do you have the dirty channel engaged on your amp?
Love mine! Only problem I'm having is trying to play a slow song, kick in the drums and the tempo will sometimes go slow and sometimes go double time. I have alt time set to red (slow) and try to play the same chord progressions with varying results. Ideas...??
You have to pay close attention to your Strumming right hand and the pattern. I had the same problem and worked out that it seemed quite sensitive to small changes with what you play in. Like he says, the more simple you keep the input the more success you'll have with it.
There's no reggae option but look at the list of styles in the manual on page 36 and work with the Alt time function. You'll probably find a way to a reggae rhythm.

When I plug the trio plus in all of the part lights flash red - none of the "style" lights are on and most, but not all of the "genre" lights on the right side are flashing green and nothing happens when I turn the genre or the style knobs??? Thanks in advance for any help.
Hi Tracy. Sounds like you need to do a factory reset on the pedal. I cover that here ruclips.net/video/EMcqyExWMeg/видео.html
@@ThePedalGuy Thanks for replying. I did do a few resets before messaging you, and then out of running out of alternatives unplugged the trio and plugged into another socket and then it worked. I hadn't used it for a while so not really sure what the problem was but it is all good now. Thanks again.
great ed vid ,thumbs up and subbed thank you so much ,to a newb like me this is gold
one ? i have tho , if i mess up on my loop how do i take it out and redo it again? hold down loop button ?
powersurge five you can absolutely erase and redo your loops. We’ll cover this in a future vid. There’s a lot under the hood with this pedal.
Mesa3077Boogie I think it’s a lot of fun for practicing and performance.
Great video
Thanks
I'm having a total blast with this pedal... can anyone help me? How do you copy the drum and bass from part 1 to part 2 and so on
Cheers 👍🤘
Will the looper work like a stand alone looper? ( to record chords and jam scales over etc)
Thanks for the question. Yes, the looper portion of the pedal works like a standard looper.
Also, what if the song has a bridge in it where the chords and tempo changes?
Please watch the entire TRIO playlist. It will answer your questions.
Thanks a ton for this video!
One question
Does the band learning button create a drum loop similar to sdrum?
As in can it create a proper drum loop based on what we strum or does the drum section only pick a pattern from a finite set of preset styles?
Thanks. No it has a set of preprogrammed drum patterns that are outlined in the TRIO manual.
@@ThePedalGuy thanks!
Is this for recording OR can it be used to perform live gigs?
You can do either
When starting a song, what notes are needed? Say the song is an A G and D throughout, what would be the starting notes for those chords?
Please watch the entire TRIO playlist. It will answer your questions.
Thanks for the kind words Dave. I wish there was a way to do this, but the TRIO is a standalone product. It doesn't have any sync capabilities.
More parts can be recorded and triggered in sync with your beat.
if i plugs in, itll work. dont try that with amps tho.haha. for example, guitars work fine on bass amps but dont plug a bass into a guitar amp without turnit wwwaayyy down lol
tell me about setting 4/4 timing and and bpm for songs
Please watch the TRIO playlist. All your questions will be answered.
HI could you talk about why the Prism + has eratic tempo issues? I can record two songs using a metronome and single notes at 100bpm and set bass to simplify etc and get really wide results from super fast tempos to perfect tempo?
Prism?
Yo, can you loop at the same time you tell the band part what to play?
Hi. No, first you teach it, then you loop.
This would be the perfect machine if i can SEE the loops via "racetrack"or any way beside 1 blinking light.. so i can know where am i on the loop...May be it will come with the new edition..
There are no plans for an updated version at this point. The Headrush Looperboard or singular Sound Aeros might be what you’re looking for
@@ThePedalGuy thanx that is a good idea
If I were to play the same progression, same feel, same genre, and the same style would every band backing be the same?
Thanks for the question. Well, kind of. You can always introduce a different bass part by using the simple bass function.
Also, when you change the dynamic of the part, that will introduce a variation as well. Hope that helps.
Ok, I'm a live performer, maybe do 30 to 40 songs each gig, can I use this pedal?
Yes, as long as you have enough SD cards to cover that many songs.
@@ThePedalGuy how bout a BIG card?
@@themollymaguiresband.142 probably not. As per the manual "The TRIO+ autosaves all songs and loops on the included microSD card. Up to 12 songs (each with up to 5
parts with loops) can be stored to an installed microSD card."
So the guitar bass and drums play over and over again and i can solo to it? So bass, drums, my chords, then I solo on top?
Yes exactly
Could it handle for example.. Hey Joe.. Or is it too much?
@@jayslam6061 it should. Watch my TRIO Tuesday vids. That should answer your questions
Hello im a pedal guy as well , i have a question about this Trio +. what im wanting to do is send my Drums and Bass to two different amps so i can set the EQ differently for them , does this pedal have that option or will the bass and drums always go to the same source ?
Thanks for the question. Unfortunately it doesn’t split the signal between bass and drums.
@@ThePedalGuy thanks for the help.
@@BryanDenham Sure thing. Note that you can use the 1/8" output on the back to create a stereo feed of the bass and drums, which sounds a bit better than the 1/4" mono
Every time I plug it in the 5 lights at the top are flashing yellow the whole time
Sounds like you should do a reset
How do you amplify Trio when you play without phones, on my guitar amp it's very bad.
This video might help ruclips.net/video/tMSYqgsqy_I/видео.html
How does the looper compare to the rc1 looper, not the band
It's a solid decent looper. Very straightforward.
Is there anything for us acoustic electric players??
Works fine with acoustic guitar
Thanks a lot
Pedal guy is a good name but I think if you change guy with files it be a cooler name
🤦🏼♂️🤷♂️
How do you do a factory rest for Trio Plus Looper and Band Creator Pedal?
This should do it
1.Press and hold the Guitar FX and Alt Time buttons while connecting the power supply.
2. When the lights start to cycle, you can let go of the buttons.
3. When the cycle wheel is fully lit, you may power the pedal off.

@@ThePedalGuy Thay video was perfect, and finally how long can you record musoc on each part ?
Thanks for the vid. It was a little intimidating at first but once I dove right in and hit pause button at certain parts it was easy. The drums still continue for like a half measure after the guitar part ends but I think it just takes a little more getting used to. Endless Hey Joe now!
thorquest very true. The pedal is like an instrument. Just takes practice! Good luck!
@@ThePedalGuy Wow no one's ever responded to my replies, tweets, etc. Before. Much respect!
Can you use a trio+ with a Pod Go?
Yes. This video shows you how to use it with a Headrush. It’s essentially the same set up with a pod go. ruclips.net/video/wiMYyrdekW4/видео.html
Can this be operated at eye level rather than on the floor . This would give more flexibility and interaction . Is there a Bluetooth app for a device
There isn’t a Bluetooth solution unfortunately

Hello! How to undo loops and undo creations or erase things?
Thanks for the question. I have covered this several times through the other TRIO vids on this channel. Have a look and you’ll find the answers.
@@ThePedalGuy my fault, of course. I've watched all your vids about trio but I don't remember. Please tell me which one at least... so I going to check. tnx
@@misterhelmetmagazine8984 hi. I'd love to but I'm not sure exactly. But I have covered it several times before. Sorry but I have a lot of other projects underway at this moment.
Also, when I look at the song in Trio Manager, the problem part- Part #1- is greyed out- like it doesn't exist at all. What is going on?
NM. I think that when I did the factory reset, I plugged the guitar cord into mixer and the mixer cord into guitar input- therefore, it couldn't record a new part because it wasn't getting a signal. Just wondering why it had to be reset in the first place. Have you ever seen that?
Hi Brian. Not sure why it needed to be reset at all but sometimes that just happens. At least you can in fact reset it and get going again.
@@gbferrell Make sure you watch his video on the switch! Things can happen depending on how you plug it in.
Does anyone know if I can connect this into a headrush pedal board? Into the effects loop? I want to use the sound of the headrush but just the drums and bass on top? Not sure if the headrush would effect drum sounds?
It should work fine. Needs to be set up correctly on the HeadRush but it can be done.
WhAt setting do I use for polka beat with my accordion?
I know there are some 3/4 time patterns on the TRIO. That should do the trick.
@@ThePedalGuy the polka is 4 / 4 time.
Easy to use 😅
Yep
How do you save a song?
Hi Charles. I have covered this several times through my TRIO Plus series.
am I able to use the guitar sound from my pedal board and keep it unchanged so it isn't over distorted or just not what I put into the trio+ ? I get the idea of switching genres and so on but what I put in from guitar or whatever needs to stay intact,,, anyone that knows I sure appreciate it.
tekszet yes you can simply use the fx send/return io’s to integrate the trio plus into your rig cleanly.
From the trio manual "The TRIO+ will "listen" to the clean guitar
signal at the GUITAR IN jack when learning your songs, so you don't have to worry about disabling effects when
teaching the TRIO+."
How do you selct or change the track - not the part - the track - thanks
Do you mean change the song? Not quite sure what you mean.

Thanks for the question. Have you tried plugging it into a mixer to compare?
ThePedalGuy I haven’t no, do you have any recommendations? Really appreciate you getting back to us!
Scott Wheadon sure thing. I would try plugging into a mixer to hear if it’s an output problem. Also just a basic question but do you have the dirty channel engaged on your amp?
I don't get it. You played a riff (4 notes) but it played back something quite different.
It creates a style around the notes.
I can plug the Ditto X4 into the kemper (alt input i can show you if you need it) Does anyone know if this can be plugged into the loop in the kemper?
Hi. This is a video on the TRIO, not the Ditto. We'll be bringing those in soon, but I have no idea
Can you not be listening to the band and then come in with your loop rather than starting dry like that?
Hey, man! Where's the option for reggae?
There's no reggae option but look at the list of styles in the manual on page 36 and work with the Alt time function. You'll probably find a way to a reggae rhythm.
Wankier got me 😂😂😂
