Omg I looove sony angels!! So happy to find out that you love them too 🤭I’m obsessed with these tees, that little clown is sooo cuteee🥰❣️ now I want one too hahah
lmfao i was thinking this would probably be an issue... i haven't washed mine yet so we'll see how it goes! I'm going to try flipping it inside out and washing on a cool setting PRAY FOR ME lol
I've never heard of sonny angels or simiski babies, but the crochet bag sounds like a good idea. I've heard of that for enamel pin collections. I had to get rid of my inkjet printer a few years back. It decided to brick itself :/. I hope Framework can create a printer that actually works, is consistent, can be easily refilled, and can be repaired easily. I do like this idea and wonder if I could get these printed at like staples, office depot, etc 🤔. Omg, I just had a cursed idea. What if you got a shirt and put a ton of unorganized shirt pockets on it? Like 17 in the front, 5 on the sleeves total, and 13 on the back (basically just scattered everywhere and just chaos). Then, put something on the inside of every pocket, like the sonny angels, smiski babies, some sneaking thing, etc. Dragonair update: The dye removal did not work... at all. It backfired. I got the jaquard decolourant (which only advertises for natural fabric) and followed the instructions to put it on the neoprene from big z fabric. That includes covering the fabric, letting it dry, then ironing it. Keep in mind, I did this on a tiny 2"x1.5" roughly sample. I expected it to just barely lift the color at worst. What happened is it offgassed like crazy, smelled like some sulfur and chemicals. Apparently, it was either Cl, HCl, and/ or formaldehyde. I opened my window, opened the back door, and turned on the fans to let all the air leave. Also that piece of fabric still stunk last I looked at it and looked slightly burnt. Soooo yeah, natural fabrics only for that 🔥(rip no melty emote so off brand this is fine). Last night, I tried dying the fabric again going from the 12qt pot to 32qt pot. I kinda winged it with the dye ratios. The color hue and value are much closer now to eachother. I also fully dyed the backup fabric so it took all 5 bottles of the rit dyemore kentucky sky and I used maybe 1/2 to 3/4 bottle of sapphire blue to shift the hue a little more towards purple than green. I just moved it to the dryer and even though I soaked the fabric, there are some lighter patches where I think the fabric was still dry? After I iron it, I'll get a better idea and see if it can be worked around. They're not huge spots thankfully. I did test airbrushing some spare fabric and it holds up to medium rubbing, but not a lot and it washes off with water. If the blotches are really bad, I may try airbrushing either acrylic with airbrush medium or alcohol inks 🤔
I love the idea of a chaotic pocket shirt and it would be such a good thing to use scrap fabric pieces! I was also thinking it would be so cool to have a shirt just covered in silly random images like sticker book style. I'm going to see how this one washes and wears and if it holds up I'm going nuts with these things hahahah! dragonair comments: OMFG not the burnt tester swatch HAHA, wow that is insane! creating insane burning plastic smells while doing crafts is so tragic but relatable lmfao. You're fully COOKING in the lab like a scientist. Are you planning on having the final result be more of a decorative piece or is it for snuggling purposes? If it's just for decor then i could definitely see more the airbrushing paint working! This whole project sounds so neat though and it's such a journey! i'm rooting for you :)
@@maddiesweirdworld Instead of a sticker bombed shirt, it's pocket bombed XD. Due to the size alone, it's going to be a bit of both XD. I have a weighted core so it'll be 35lbs roughly when finished. Just moving it would rub the airbrush paint off :/. BUT, I took it out of the dryer and ironed the crap out of it. The dye inconsistencies are actually not that bad. I think the spots I saw earlier were just retained water. It's like the difference between 40% grey and 43% grey in some places. Noticable, but only when looking from straight on. I should probably start focusing on the head accents again since I still need to finish embroidering the eyes, which are about the size of my hands and I wear large nitrile gloves. It's not complicated, just time consuming.... Actually that explains this entire project
Why is this sooooo cute. Most gorgeous bff pair 😭

i feel like this transfer paper would make a really cute like. sticker book style shirt? just a bunch of little pictures all over or something hehe
