Old person here. Knee pads and/or cushions. Pin fabric so no movement while drawing & cutting straight lines. Keep stability pins in & drape project over the table for cutting. Cut only on the portion that is flat on the table. Keep stretching and hydrating. And most importantly please, please keep posting. This is the most fun ever.
The pilled side actually is the right side so good job there! I thought it was the wrong side the first time I used anti-pill fleece, and now my plush is super pilled and scraggly looking from being handled. I still love him anyways though
yes i used felt and fabri-tac glue for the eyes! I couldn't figure out how to get a safety eye in the fleece without ripping holes in his gorgeous body HAHA. I do LOVE how the felt turned out tho
Regarding the pins if you get a big magnet they're really helpful while you're in the moving back and forth stage a lot. My partner has a magnet strip glued to the side of their sewing machine (but we're both your horror story because we stick pins in our mouth as a temporary holding zone). If you don't wanna pin your fabric in place weights (or books) can be helpful too while you're crawling around on the floor. But like s.maskell said, knee pads and cushions will help A LOT! And make sure you take frequent water/stretch breaks! Don't wanna mess up your back and wrists from too much hunching over/repetitive motions. Congrats on your beautiful worm! May they protect your home from the unwanted ooky spookeys.
