Love this -- grains are good for you! Quince are delicious -- better than apples when baked. Does everyone see whats missing from this drink? Dairy and nuts. Thank goodness! This is totally on my list of things to make before the chill leaves the air.
You should prepare a brazilian drink as well!! Here we have some tipical ones along our states!! Corn juice is one of them.. there is also (now that it is still cold in the north hemisphere) quentão ou vinho quente! We also have caipirinha, but i believe the episodes are not made with alcoholic drinks. ;)
The way you film it the way you text it the way the color of your films are the way it sounds the way you edit it......dammmmm who are you? I like it very much! Maybe i can get a list of used soft and hardware?
For months I have had a bag of rajgaro (I leisurely shop at Indian grocers). Was really uncertain on what to do with it until I saw this vid when the lightbulb came on: rajgaro IS amaranth! I googled it when I first bought it but I must have searched to literally since I didn't understand what I had. Now I can enjoy my mystery grain since I know I have amaranth. $2.49 for 14oz so I got a bargain!
This actually doesn't seem to hard to me. Seeing as most of the ingredients are either boiled in the first pot or blended. I hope I can find Quince at my local International market! ♥♥♥ this series!!!
milo dinosaur? i'm aussie but i've never heard of this method of preparing milo? i just add crap tonnes of milo and mix it with milk and just eat the top lol
i was excited about the recipe until i heard the word "Amaranth", i had enough trouble finding the quinoa alone, well i will move to the next video that shows a easier quinoa drink
+Danny S Or you could stick to grains that aren't wrecking up their native economy because they've suddenly become trendy in the west as 'superfoods'. Seriously, if it concerns you, look into the damage that the massive western adoption of quinoa has had on the areas that traditionally grow it and where it can no longer be afforded by the very natives that are fetishised by the western buyers.
+Joseph Potter I just realized that the above may have sounded like a personal attack, my apologies, please take no offence. I just hope that people realize that western food trends can have large and unanticipated knock on effects on the communities of those who grow those newly adopted harvests, and those effects can be very negative. Please consider supporting those producing locally grown produce rather than fall victim to the idea that 'superfoods' come from far away or are inherently better because of their foreign point of origin.
Hi Joseph, the concept that you just explained had not fully occurred to me mainly because I don't jump on food trend bandwagons. I eat what I feel like eating until I feel like eating something else. Since I enjoy consuming diverse nutrient dense foods and prefer to be economical about it, I have been shopping at Indian and other ethnic markets for years. Most of these establishments are locally owned. You make a great point about staying aware of food sources and buying local but you're preaching to the choir with me.

Are quinces... membrillos? I've never heard of them in my city, so... I was considering membrillos as possible sustitutes for quinces?
This actually doesn't seem to hard to me. Seeing as most of the ingredients are either boiled in the first pot or blended. I hope I can find Quince at my local International market! ♥♥♥ this series!!!

What is that pink cake?
That dinosaur!!!
Yay !milo dinosaur next week :D
Delicioso!
Alfajores on the side too?
I noticed that and thought, "Hmmmm, alfajores cancel out the benefits of the refresco, no?" : )
I wonder, how did they make this back then without blenders?
Probably ground it down with a mortar or something.
Thanks! Interesting to know
thanks for the info
mmmm
Perú Love :)
I almost thought this looked disgusting until I read the description that compared it to oatmeal. I guess it makes sense....
woo
OH HOLY YES MILO DINOSAUR HAHAHA represent!!
Why not just soak the grains overnight and purée the fruit? Cooking the fruits and grains till soft diminishes nutritional value.
Lol at the creeping dinosaur
milo dinosaur?
i'm aussie but i've never heard of this method of preparing milo?
i just add crap tonnes of milo and mix it with milk and just eat the top lol

Powerfull recepie, although weird lyrics of the song
hay que sacar las pepas y la ramitas de la manzana
i was excited about the recipe until i heard the word "Amaranth", i had enough trouble finding the quinoa alone, well i will move to the next video that shows a easier quinoa drink
Are you near an Indian market? If so, go ask for rajgaro or rajgara. There is a brand called SWAD that makes it.

milo dinosaur... *Drool*
Dayam, a booster for 5 consecutive 💦
The editing was too fast for some parts. :/
That blender costs at least 600 bucks.
OMG MILO DINOSAUR
que delicia
Aw, no more background sound (like blenders, pots, etc).
You can't eat a quince raw.. They are hard as rocks.
Yes you can, it is hard indeed but very popular with salt in Chile between school kids. A seasonal treat, a March one actually :)
It's pretty much baby food.
refresco? refrescos are cold drinks, not hot. wtf.
First
first
Nobody cares. Go fuck yourself.
I've been missing you! Great recipe! Thanks!
