5-7-1989 - Eastern Conf. Round 1 Game 5 - Michael Jordan hits "The Shot" and ends the game with 44 pts, 9 rebs, 6 asts. Спорт
Funny how MJ missed multiple free throws throughout the game and the previous game, but finishes the series with a free throw jumper at the buzzer. My favorite game
i just subscribed
Bro 😆🤣😂 you right haha
This series is a top 10 playoff series of all time
This was basically a game 7 too since the first rounds back in the day there were only 5 games so It's even more impressive considering he did it on the road.
MJ is just insanely clutch. This man is on another level when it came to basketball. He's so raw here
a simpler time. love it.
It really was so pure @@willzsportscards
This mark down the greatess nba moment ever!
Imagine Craig Ehlo feeling like the "hero of the day" for making the game winner of the series and a couple of minutes later Jordan making The Shot of the ages in his face to win the series, poor Ehlo
Amazing give and go really but you can't give Jordan that much time.
Michael Jordan averaged 44 points in the series against the Cavaliers. As good as Craig Ehlo and Ron Harper was, Michael Jordan simply outplayed them. He was virtually unstoppable.
Joey Brooks Ehlo was not that good. You made it sound like he was on Jordan’s level.
Craig Ehlo was a plumber. He averaged 7 ppg and 5 reb gtfo here this defense is atrocious.
No, but Ehlo a was good defender in the series. Jordan acknowledged that, and took it as a challenge. The Cavaliers were a great team in the late 80s early 90s but Jordan just single handedly destroyed them
@John Imegi ok dummy

30 pts in one half of a game...just insane!!!
The 36 second mark is the fastest you'll ever see someone go from ~36 feet out to the basket. From when he starts to cross over it takes him 1-1.5 seconds to get from 35+ feet out to the basket. Incredible speed. Jordan is the fastest point A to point B player in history.
Giannis ruined this comment
@@Allen-du5hf Westbrook can do it pretty fast himself. The difference is, the first two mentioned guys don't brick it sometimes.
They called him black cat for a reason.
the move at 2:04 is just pure poetry. no one can react so quickly to double triple team as fast as jordan. i dont remember a lot of other players( or any?) jumping side way not toward the basket when they attack. the ability to jump up so easily coming into a full stop is something out of the world.
the way he is able to adjust his arm and wrist to lay the ball up so softy while jumping side way makes him the most crafty player ever.
We going to New York baby
I Remember Watching This Game At 9 Years Old📺🏀💯
This always makes me smile. Lol
Jordan gave a shout out to Anita Baker. “Giving you the best that I got”
Love the fact James Brown ask Mike what was his ritual song before the game & it was Anita Baker “Giving You The Best That I Got”... amazing song
The way MJ played was so fluid in 1989, one of my fav versions of Jordan
MJ actually takes FT a step back after he sees he's long on a bunch early
never seen him do that
Michael Jordan is one of my favorite players ever
The way he splits the 3 defenders in the air is just amazing
Pre 1st retirement MJ is pure gold. There are only 2 people in the GOAT argument, MJ & Wilt.
I’m sure all the players were watching this game intently at the time, waiting to see him fail! Magic said he thought Cleveland would be the team to beat in the East, and you know everyone from Barkley to Isaiah had that game on somewhere! That was definitely one of Mike’s middle finger to the League games, in my opinion it’s one of his greatest games ever, and the game itself is one of the 10 greatest playoff games ever played. The ‘89 version of Mike is my favorite, he was literally at the peak of his powers during that season, playoffs included.
Who wouldn’t want a coach to react and join in on the celebration!? Awesome!
Credit to the Cavs too for pushing them in back-to-back game 5 series.
The Cavs were heavily favored to win this series. They swept Chicago 6-0 in the regular season.
THE LEGEND CLEARLY for jordan
Poor Craig Ehlo, he was a near hero only to get burned by a last second shot.
Bulls coach reaction was priceless❤
I was there. Cavs fan. What a game. Jordan was he best.
This was an Awesome Game and my second was When The Spurs Swept the Cavs in the Finals I love this game
I love Doug Collins. 😂 He showed so much emotion.
Got fired after that season if memory serves me correctly, which is a shame.....I guess they made the right call in the end hiring Phil Jackson. Just sucks for Collins :(
@@Briguy75 u guess they made the right call hiring Jackson? lmao 6 championship in 8 years speaks volumes nah they made the right call
@@coreyortiz9913 lol I guess you could call me captain obvious 😏
I remember watching this game! I was 16 years old 🤘🏾😂
28 years ago today
Jordan averaged 40/6/8/3.0 SPG shooting 52% over 5 games. And those were very common stats throughout MJ's 51 playoff appearances
Last Dance brought me here
He drank 10 beers before this game!
Mohsin Ali Yup I was looking for this comment
Mohsin Ali 🐐
What a play by Cavs on the inbound. Too bad the other team had that Jordan guy
MJ went to New York and averaged 37/8.5/9.5 dispatching the Knicks in 6.
The cleveland cavaliers have left the chat
How could you not love Doug Collins!
Legend!
Luego de ver #TheLastDance es necesario ver este resumen
Two 🐐s ANITA BAKER AND MJ
GOAT
Harper wanted to guard him on the last play... good luck!!
Damn 32 yrs ago today remember being 8 yrs old 2nd grade the Cavs & or the Bulls were going to be the next dynasty after the Bad Boys run gm5 then the Shot killed the Cavs forever
Why has Ehlo been blamed? The Cavs inbound play before was best inbound play i have seen from halfcourt. Jordan made a unreal shot. Ehlo was there. Mj just hung then shot. The best view is from baseline behind. Also who could guard him? Only 1 guy. That was cause it was the team not letting him into lane. Joe Dumars was only guy.
It's great to watch the shot and interview after watching the video shot by the local Chicago news guys. You can see them rush the court and even part of their mic during the CBS interview lol
Can somebody explain when Doug collins was the coach Craig Hodges was a starter but when Phil took over John paxson became the starter at the point then it was BJ in 1993 I’m just curious about the change???
Changing the guard, literally.
Did RUclips and the NBA restrict this channel from loading full televised games?
Thaigo santos vs hill, says Ronald and Jordan!
Damn, I didn't even know Ehlo put them up before MJ's shot, if MJ would've missed, things would've been a lot different.
People forget Cleveland has been a great basketball town with great fans and a solid organization way before LeBron.
who looked up the Anita baker track after watching this? (2020)
each time jordan attack the basket its automatically foul. the defender cant come to close to him. even magic says"you cant come to close to michael its a foul.
Jordan got a lot of calls, but the vast majority of the fouls in this game were legit. Compared to the insane tricky-tack shit that sensa James Harden to the line, MJ got a raw deal.
tzvika y that magic Johnson joke was hilarious
People forget the cavs were a rivalry to the bulls before the pistons even tho the bulls beat the cavs every time they meet in the playoffs the cavs always gave the bulls problem!!!
MJ specialized in breaking Lenny Wilkens heart
Ehlo.. thought he will be the hero of that game the disappointment after Jordan took the last shot😁
For as really good Mark Price was an offensive player, you would never guess if you watched him on defense. Yikes, I can only wonder if he was injured or ailing in some way,
I think he was suffering a groin injury during that game.
Is the full game on RUclips?
His worst game on the series is scoring 30...
Lita bajby givint the that you can

Stockton "Jordan puts it up and
YES!!!!
At the buzzer, Michael Jordan has won it for Chicago!!!!!!"
Oh, wilkens should have been fired after this!!
That was actually Hubie Brown who yelled "YES!!"
is this a fake video
jordan missing a dunk?!?!?
Show both teams scoring, not just one.
was it win or go home game?
Need I say more?😒
1:04-1:17 Same rhetoric different player
Kawhi Leonard’s buzzer beater was better.
No, not even close. AND a) that game was at home, and was TIED.
@@mjp96 Not to mention that shot got the luckiest of bounces. It could have easily rolled off and they have OT.
