We've stayed out of debt, saved and invested, and are doing extremely well. It's just called discipline. Again, great interview with Dave.
When you really get a handle on your money and know every dollar and where is goes you realize you have more than you think. Those stops at Target $30-$50 add up. This segment made Dave Ramsey look like a jerk. He's not screaming at people and being obnoxious all the time. They just picked the worst parts. 99% of the time he's calm and understanding
It doesn't matter if Dave is shown screaming at people. Sometimes that is what he needs to do to get through to some of the people he talks to. Dave is a good man, whether he's screaming at somebody or not.
I'm glad I found out about Dave Ramsey before I got a new auto loan. Best decision of my financial life to begin listening to his financial advice. Like he says it's not 'get rich quick' it's 'get rich slow'. Slowly but surely.
Ramsey filed bankruptcy when he had major debt problems, but he tells ALL his callers to NEVER file bankruptcy, but instead to eat rice and beans and never go out or have any fun for several years until they pay back every dollar they owe. He's a complete hypocrite and a con man.
888strummer If you actually listened to his show, he doesn’t say never file bankruptcy. He clearly states it as a last resort and many ppl who file bankruptcy aren’t actually bankrupt. He’s actually trying to help ppl avoid a path that can make life harder for them down the road when they don’t realize their situation can be salvaged by actually attacking the debt.
@@choiboix Bankruptcy resolves the stressful days immediately. It stops almost all bill collections. Lets you sleep at night.. That's why he did it. No years of working your ass off to only pay bills. It is in our legal system.
@@choiboix Dave didn't live on rice and beans and live like crap for many years; in 1 court appearance he wiped out all his debt and got a fresh start. And by getting a fresh start, it allowed him to immediately get off his feet and move ahead with his life. And his kids got to eat well and enjoy their lives as well. Yet, I've listened to 100's of his shows and never ONCE has he ever recommended bankruptcy to any of his callers; even in the most obvious cases where bankruptcy should be used. Some of his callers do not need to file bankruptcy, but many would be best served filing bankruptcy and getting a fresh start, which is exactly what Dave did. What worked for Dave was bankruptcy and that's what works best for many, but he tells EVERY caller to live like crap for many years, even though he didn't. Complete Hypocrite!
888strummer Obviously you haven’t listened to the show enough. The story is he had several million dollars debt. When his loans were called, he was able to sell everything and get the debt down to couple hundred thousands of dollars. However, the bank wouldn’t extend him more time to pay off the balances and they were coming into his house to seize all his assets. That’s the reason why he filed bankruptcy. It was a last resort. Not a get out of jail free card he took advantage of cause he wanted to. As much as I don’t agree with Ramsey in his politics, his basic premise of getting out of debt and investing is a sound common sense principle. And btw, he has recommended bankruptcy on the show. RUclips it. It has happened.
*Thank you Dave Ramsey ! My husband and I are debt free ,and are about to buy our home in February* we stopped buying things we can't afford. Saved saved and saved .! 💕
My wife and I paid off $43,000 in 17 months, all that is left is the mortgage. We were on Dave's show back in April of 2018 for our Debt Free Scream. Life changing stuff!
I owe so much to this man. Debt free from my college loans and met him and Rachel in person for my debt free scream. Incredible people and life channging experience.
Guys remember, Dave doesn’t work miracles. He helps you to architect a workable/feasible plan to make your life more rewarding. Sometimes it requires that you increase your wage, he cannot help you with that, sometimes it’s the discipline you need beat in your head. It’s all about perspective. He’s not a savior, he’s a financial solutions architect, a great one too
He is not an architect. He is a motivational speaker who is good at shouting people who have low self esteem and no self discipline. He gives a wake-up call which is what most people need.
I like Dave. I may not agree with 100% of his opinions, but the man knows his stuff. He's been through it. I will never finance another car as long as I live, thanks to Dave's advice. I don't think that most of us realize how much we're paying in interest every year, it's insanity.
Kaylee F I was thinking of financing a car next year but since I started listening to him just days ago I realized how stupid of a decision that would have been. Better to save up while driving a beater and eventually buy the new car in full and only worry about insurance minus the big car note
I started the baby steps in August of 2017 with $209,517.17 and just started on baby step 6 last week (this included selling a vehicle, an investment property, and a house along with liquidating other properties to pay off debt). I would have never imagined I could do it without his method and common sense approach. I still have my mortgage to pay off but I am well on my way to being completely debt free by the time I am 40. I highly recommend Dave's baby step to anyone looking to get out of debt.
Dave Ramsey is the best when it comes to financial advice ! On his plan and can't wait to be debt free and pay everything with cash at such a young age. Start young and start now!
Done the Financial Peace University, it was worth it x 100! I'm on Baby Step 3B now. The instructor met Dave Ramsey in person and helped the guy do a budget and talked to him for like 2 hours one on one! Dave Ramsey does actually care about people and believes in what he teaches.
I have Dave Ramsey to thank for my financial security and we do not share political views and I am not a Christian. None of that matters because he speaks the truth, and I listened. As I continue to listen, I still do not hear anything that makes his message reserved for conservatives and right-wingers. He simply tells it like it is. I am almost 67 and I discovered him in my 30s and I give credit where credit is due. I have my dad to thank, too, because my dad is also very wise about money though he did not become a public figure. But what my dad advised made it possible for me to hear and believe Dave Ramsey's lessons. Dave, if you happen to ever see this, I appreciate you. Everyday millionaire here and was definitely not born into it.
I ♡ Dave Ramsey! It all makes sense! America needs to think about financial decisions for the best future. Being in debt is unbelievably soul-crushing!!! Debt free is the ONLY way to live!
Dave filed bankruptcy but he tells EVERY caller of his not to file bankruptcy, but instead to live like crap for many years until they pay their debts back. You love Dave Ramsey?
@@888strummer It truly is all behavior. Bankruptcy does not let you accept responsibility nor does is allow you to change! Trust me, it's a temporary fix. You will be right back in debt in no time! !

Dave Ramsey is the best! This month marks 3 years that I have followed his plan. My wife and I have paid $270,000 in debt (student loans for law degree and MBA, car loans, medical, etc). It works believe me...financial peace is the best. It’s solid advice. Not your “get rich quick”. Total mentality change about managing resources.
While I was never all that deep in debt, I always spent money like there was no tomorrow. I pretty much always got paid every 2 weeks and after bills and spending, I had no money left by the end of the first week. I finally had enough. I paid my debt, cut my nonsense spending and now have more money than I have ever had in the bank-thanks to this man's teaching. We are always taught that more income is the key when it's actually controlling what you already have.
Debt is a major problem in America. Personally I think it's because our culture is obsessed with convenience. It's much more convenient to just go out and spend on the credit card. It's a real pain and really inconvenient to work a lot of hours and sacrifice to save up money to pay cash. It's simply not easy to live that way and most people won't do it. As a result, America is up to it's eyeballs in debt.
I don't think that's a convenience issue, since a debit is just as convenient. What we have is an instant gratification issue, I'd say. Credit is just too easy to get. Companies are too willing to let you keep working your way up in credit as long as you make payments.
@@anneperry9014 That makes me feel better than us Americans aren't the only stupid people in the world. Sometimes I feel that way living in this country lol
Agreed, I tend to spend a lot of money on eating out mainly for convenience. But at the same time I almost feel like its smarter to save time this way because driving to the store, buying food from the store, cooking it, and cleaning up afterwards is time better spent elsewhere, like making more money for instance.
That's part of it, but another issue is wages. Lenders have manipulated debt in order to keep the economy growing while wages remain relatively stagnant. It's difficult to make large purchases in this day and age without going into debt. Now, I'm a huge Ramsey fan and I'm debt free and only pay for things in cash (thnx to Dave), but people like myself are not good for the economy. The economy needs spenders.
If you are in severe debt and have trouble being financially responsible Dave Ramsey is a very good example/program. i do think that a lot of people who are zealous about singing his praises do overlook that if you are looking to achieve financial security and invest wisely his advice can actually be a significant roadblock for that goal. It really depends on your own personal weaknesses and current goals.
Went from having credit cards and student loans and being reckless with my money to being debt free in a few years. His plan works and I only paid ten dollars to buy his book used online. Those ten dollars changed the way I handle my money!
Dave Ramsey is awesome! He tells people what they need to hear, not what they want to hear. We need someone like Dave Ramsey as our President. Someone with fiscal responsibility and common sense. You rock Dave!!

I was going to buy me a bigger home just to keep up with the Jones’s. I have 3 years left to finish paying my mortgage off. I came across Dave’s Ramsey RUclips videos, and he made me change my whole perspective in not buying a bigger and newer home. My whole philosophy changed, and now I am almost done paying off my debt. I’m following Dave’s baby steps. In addition, I started to investing in the stock market.
When people say "use cash", they mean pay month to month and carry no balance. No one cares how you PHYSICALLY pay, whether cash, check, or credit/debit card.
What's Dave is teaching is not other than the way people spend in other places around the world. Americans are just so hungry for material stuff so they go in debt so quickly.
People LOVE to hate on Dave Ramsey and I don’t get it. He’s helped millions of people win with money. I don’t agree with every single thing he says. I still listen to him everyday. He provides a simple financial plan that anybody can follow. If you don’t like his plan, then do another one. Just stick with it. He’s said that countless times.
I’ll be debt free in 3 months, for the first time. I haven’t been ripped off by Dave. I’ve been shown how to get my financial life on track and make a future for myself.
I'm a skeptic and not because of Mr. Ramsey, but our socioeconomic structure. The way of life in America compels many to purchase and acquire objects that denote status which becomes their investment. I live a minimalist life and dgaf, but see that almost all people critique me for the things that I do without and have called me poor as if it was a slur or reason to be pitied. Herein lies the real root cause of debt. If those false status seekers understood me they'd know I'm trying hard not to become like them and live within my means. While Dave's advice works like a financial diet regimen of sorts (Jenny Craig if you may) they would have to conduct 5, 10 and 15 year statistics on the results these individuals obtained in order to determine how sound and obtainable long lasting results are. And then you'd have to break it down by debt type, amount of debt and income of course. The key to sound financial principles lies in a cultural understanding of one's values when measured up against one's environment. Thus any incompatibilities here may perpetuate poor financial decision and economic growth.
Dave Ramsey Rocks and i dont care who says wot negativity about him. He has helped many ppl to realize the value of money n how to build a bright, stable future.
Everything he says about money is rock solid. If you do it, it works. I don't agree with everything he says about non financial subjects but you cannot go wrong if you follow his financial advice.
His baby steps work ! My wife finished college her masters and had 43k in student debt we have been following Dave Ramsey’s steps we are 28 years old and we owe just about 23k almost finished .. but it’s not easy you have to be determined To live below your means .. manage money well and stick to a budget!
I started listening when I was 20, I didnt go to college but had amassed 21,000 in debt by that time. I paid it all off by 22 thanks to his plan, and truly feel free. Now for the first time I feel like I have a bright future ahead of me even though I still live in a trailer park hah
OMG RUclips turned me on to this man thru their recommended videos on 4/20 and I watched probably half of his videos that weekend. He lit a fire under this butt right here! I have no credit card debt, so on 4/21 I scheduled a payoff of my lowest student loan using savings I was afraid to touch, committed to his Baby Steps program, and will have the 2nd and last student loan paid off this summer. I am so looking forward to paying off my house, which without a 2nd gig will probably take 24 months on my current salary. Gotta do it while I can. The thought of somehow losing my house and renting scares me!
Dave Ramsey provides what a lot of financial advisors fail to offer. That's simplicity and support. People do not have time to try to decode all the financial industry rhetoric. Folks just want to know that they are capable of getting their finances in order and want a game plan for doing it. I have to admit that I judged Ramsey for being a Rush Limbaugh-type, but after really listening to him, he actually isn't vitriolic or even political.
Thanks to Dave..the greatlooking car that i used to envy,i didnt buy it and swim in debt..now i got a paidoff car, home and retirement easily and comfortably on track
This is all advice that most of us have heard, but don't follow. The "Baby Steps" turn all of that advice into a basic plan that is easy to understand. It's hard to do it, but easy to understand, and it's worth doing. Two years ago, I had to borrow money from my parents to replace my water heater. Now I have only my mortgage debt and a six month emergency fund, plus enough to buy a nice used car. My income is below average, but if I can do it, anyone can!
love Dave Ramsey ... the number of people that hate him do so because they can't face reality ... the bulk of their financial problems is due to the fact they spend more than they bring in.

We've stayed out of debt, saved and invested, and are doing extremely well. It's just called discipline. Again, great interview with Dave.
When you really get a handle on your money and know every dollar and where is goes you realize you have more than you think. Those stops at Target $30-$50 add up. I was blessed while commuting to work I was able to catch his radio show. Started listening and making better decisions and cleaning up small debts and knocking stuff out. I am not perfect but I have made great progress and life is a little less stressful when you can make progress and not stupid decisions. I drove a 2001 Nissan Altima with no AC for two years and yes it sucked but now I have a paid for Chevy Silverado WITH AC! And it’s wonderful
Ramsey is the truth when it comes to personal finance
@@choiboix
Bankruptcy resolves the stressful days immediately.
“Call the wambulance we all work hard” lol😹🤣😂😅
JULIANNESMAN w Dave is funny as hell
Yep..even fast food workers
I was just laughing at this lol
I owe so much to this man. Debt free from my college loans and met him and Rachel in person for my debt free scream. Incredible people and life channging experience.
My husband and l call him Uncle Dave. Hes like that uncle that tells you the hard truth because he cares. With his advice we are getting out of debt.
Right. If you make only 2 grand a month, there is no way to help you out. You gotta make more money.
I agree 100%.
Wow so nice to watch Dave Ramsey’s interview and a short tour of the their office.
Dave Ramsey is the financial emergency room.
steve b do your research. He went back and paid it all off
Dave Ramsey is the best when it comes to financial advice !
Dave Ramsay is a boss
He's a hero and Legend. He's helped so many people. Finally someone that cares about others with tough love. I love him and tell everyone about him.
I'm a progressive liberal and I love Dave Ramsey. The man changed my life and my family's life.
Very few people are born with that sense of responsibility. Maybe 3 to 4%. Most of us don't think about our daily expenditures, much less about our future! But with A LOT of effort, we can change......
@@almaaparicio9104 It worked for Dave very well. And for many others who file bankruptcy and learn from their mistakes. Some do and some don't, but I've listened 100's of callers to Dave Ramsey and NEVER does he suggest to anyone to simply file bankruptcy and then learn from their mistakes, as Dave did. Dave didn't eat rice and beans for years and live like crap for years; instead he waltzed into court and wiped out all his debt in a matter of seconds and then went on to kick ass in life. But what worked for Dave isn't what he suggests others do and that's why I think he's a conman.
@@888strummer actually not true, sometimes he does agree with filing bankruptcy. I have heard at least twice where someone was in a really bad situation & bankruptcy was inevitable. So that's just not true.
Dave you are a gift to the world. Before Dave Ramsey i was a financial idiot!!!!
NOW I refuse to give my money away, i got my $1000 emergency fund, never had that in my life!
I feel so much more confident, so much more secure.
Nothing dave says it unrealistic....we can all do it!
Keeylz congratulations 🎉
Paid off $56,819 (student loans, two car loans, a credit card, and a smart phone) in 299 Days on Dave's plan. There is nobody else in the financial industry that can claim that there listeners have this kind of turn around based on their influence and teachings.
That's quick
please explain how you paid off the student loans so quickly
Dave's the BEST!!!!!! We're 1.5 years into our debt payoff and the students loans, medical bills, and credit card bills are GONE! Just 1 car loan to go and WE'RE DEBT FREE!!! The stress relief from NOT paying tons of people is amazing.
I feel you. But i guess i am just overwhelmed with EVERYONE around me. Spending on coffee, lunch and wasting soo much $. Dave helps people change fot the better with tgeir finances. Step by step really feels easier. Remember, over 90% of us are NOT saving $.
Alma Aparicio don’t worry what other people do with their money. The world can’t function wo a certain amount of debt so we need to those people
10 years following Dave. Cannot be more grateful!
They tried so hard to politicize this.
Yeah and he wasn’t having it! How refreshing
A white Christian straight male... of course they had to try and drag trump into it.
Yeah that was super uncomfortable and disappointing.
It's a major problem in Britain as well mate!!!!
350,000k in debt 13 years ago. business and personal. down to just 15,000k left on our house. Thanks Dave and crew ! I am sleeping well now.
Dave is more attractive now as an old man than when he was young.
Very wise man and tells the truth with Love. Thanks you Mr. Dave
Dave Ramsey is an honest tell it how it is guy. We need more leaders like him. He is a person of integrity who is changing the world one person at a time. A good Christian man....proud to support him.
Listen to him and listen to his advice it has changed the way I see money and helped me pay my debt down. I can now see a clear future.
Long Live Dave Ramsey! if there is one person who gives me good advice on how to take care of my funds it is him.
Followed Dave's advice and paid off about $16k in credit cards and home mortgage in about seven years; about five years later paid off mortgage on rental house. Retired debt free and sold rental house.
How much money did you make off rentals.
Well said about Trump. “As a man of faith, can’t support his actions.”
Yeah well lots of presidents have been morally inept. Kennedy, Clinton, LBJ, Ford, Nixon, etc. Lots of presidents nail porn stars and etc. Nobody cares except holy rollers. Just worry about what he gets done.
@@bubbadavis5889 There ya go
johnny Jameson Which presidents have nailed a porn star? I don’t recall one on the top of my head. I realize you’re a f’in moronic Trumptard but at this point, your pathetic excuses defending that dumbass clown is losing its credibility every day. Trump just keeps proving what a POS human being he is and historians rate him as the one of the worst presidents in history.
Bubba Davis Trump IS NOT a Christian. You Trumptards are so f’in stupid to think he is. You idiots just got scammed to think he was.
Bubba Davis First off dumb fuck, it’s “accepted.” You just proved what an uneducated idiot you already are. Secondly, I didn’t realize a moron who grabs women by the pussy has accepted Christ into his life. Didn’t realize that’s what Christians believe. But we all know you evangelicals are all full of shit and beneath all that holy act, you lot are the epitome of gullible dumbasses.
Dave Ramsey is a great man. Debt free and on my way to having a paid for house!
that’s true. how a person has no job get loan or credit card ?
Your dog can get a card. They dont fact check their applications
Use cash. Stay out of debt
@@Cajunman1977-k3f 100% CREDIT CARDS...$0 DEBT...$1,000's in rewards that cash fails to pay
When people say "use cash", they mean pay month to month and carry no balance. No one cares how you PHYSICALLY pay, whether cash, check, or credit/debit card.
@@catlover1986 Many anti credit card *FOOLS* think that using cash is cheaper
Was shocked to see a young clip of Dave- who was that dude
What's Dave is teaching is not other than the way people spend in other places around the world. Americans are just so hungry for material stuff so they go in debt so quickly.
It's not just that. Debt is marketed as a necessity in the US, to the point where people think it is normal.
Thanks to God and Dave’s advice. We were able to pay all of our consumer debt.
He’s said that countless times.
fglend73 they’re jealous of his success.
The thing with Dave is that what he says makes sense when you think about it. Its not bad advice designed to rip you off if its logical.
I really like Dave Ramsey, he seems like he really wants to help people get out of debt.
I’ll be debt free in 3 months, for the first time. I haven’t been ripped off by Dave. I’ve been shown how to get my financial life on track and make a future for myself.
Good story! Ramsey's principles work, I watched work for me.
I'm 100% a non Trump supporter....but Dave Ramsey does not rip people off, he legitimately tries to get people out of debt no matter who you support.
Everything he says about money is rock solid. If you do it, it works. I don't agree with everything he says about non financial subjects but you cannot go wrong if you follow his financial advice.
His baby steps work !
My wife finished college her masters and had 43k in student debt we have been following Dave Ramsey’s steps we are 28 years old and we owe just about 23k almost finished .. but it’s not easy you have to be determined
To live below your means .. manage money well and stick to a budget!
I'm sure RUclips won't waste their time demonetizing his channel.
If RUclips does that, they are stupid.
His channel is not political or controversial, so it wont.
Dave helped me ... A LOT! Cha-Ching!
You don't need to buy Ramsey's book....it's in every library in the country
Freedom Ring Baby Steps are on Google
You can also listen to it on RUclips.
You changed my life Dave! Thank you!
I started listening when I was 20, I didnt go to college but had amassed 21,000 in debt by that time. I paid it all off by 22 thanks to his plan, and truly feel free. Now for the first time I feel like I have a bright future ahead of me even though I still live in a trailer park hah
If our government had him in charge, we wouldn't be freaking out over the financial debt or our kids futures.
This dude changed my life
He’s helped me! Love you Dave ❤️💕
Thanks to Dave..the greatlooking car that i used to envy,i didnt buy it and swim in debt..now i got a paidoff car, home and retirement easily and comfortably on track
Honestly wished I had awoken to dave ramsey earlier in life.
We paid off $122,000 of debt it works thank Dave
This is all advice that most of us have heard, but don't follow. The "Baby Steps" turn all of that advice into a basic plan that is easy to understand. It's hard to do it, but easy to understand, and it's worth doing. Two years ago, I had to borrow money from my parents to replace my water heater. Now I have only my mortgage debt and a six month emergency fund, plus enough to buy a nice used car. My income is below average, but if I can do it, anyone can!
Less sugar coating the better!!! Tell’m Dave!
love Dave Ramsey ... the number of people that hate him do so because they can't face reality ... the bulk of their financial problems is due to the fact they spend more than they bring in.
Bless Dave Ramsey ✨ I'm in baby step 2
Debt is the enemies way to keep you bogged down and it affects your health, family, etc.i believe Dave Ramsey's advice works
Financial guru is a major overstatement.
PLEASE !!!!! More D.R. "DAVE RAMSEY" on ABC !!!!!!
This man fixed my life. I am not exaggerating.
Credit card debt free for about a year now. Just that feels amazing. Can't wait to pay off the car. If I can do it, anyone can.
