Thank You Lloyd. I am going to add the bike to my fleet. It will be my 4th bike. I have Lectric xp 2.0 Ancheer 26" 250w, Engwe Pro2. Im 68 so I don't ride hard anymore, but I do like fast.
I replicated the rear fender extension by cutting up a face shield (had some lying around, my mom bought them in 2020 in light of the pandemic) and taping it on using 3M adhesive tape. Works perfectly it deflects all the grime and filth!
Great video man! My Ariel X class is coming on Tuesday. Your reviews were honest and insightful and helped me decide between the hyper scorpion and x class. Gonna use it for winter food deliveries for now and it’s a beast especially with the second battery.
Thanks for watching bro! Get hyped and congrats! you're gonna love it. yeah, the 2nd battery mod truly makes this ebike a good alternative to cars. Can't count how many times I've dropped off my truck to the dealership for maintenance, and rode this ebike back home instead of getting a loaner that will charge me a random $50 for a scratch that was already already present when they loaned me the rental car lol
Hi Lloyd, all of your mods are on point. But I had to laugh at your description of riding through puddles and water as that's exactly what happens to me and yes, I am in the Seattle area too. I will be making that diy mod to my X-class too. Thanks for that idea! Cheers.
Those wallets looks amazing going to buy one thx but let’s be honest u did a lot of mods and it’s a modified x class.. therefore it’s basically a whole different bike
Bruh same! lol highly debating if I should just wait for the motor to die before I upgrade to a much beefier and powerful motor-I’m seeing some folks being able to pull off high mileage on these, so I’m hoping it’ll last long 🤘
no need :) I charge them at the same time, but I usually turn off the triangle battery just to be on the safe side. The AR stock battery is always on for X-class.
@@ss396rat no, the separate battery comes with it’s own charger when u buy it, so u have to plug in both chargers to their designated battery-1 for the AR and 1 for the 2nd battery
I just ordered one but am already kinda regretting it. I have watched so many yt review videos and it seems there is always something. But now if I refuse the delivery theyll get me for a fee or if I open it and return it I have to pay for shipping and that restocking fee I think. I don't know what to do.
It really depends on the batch you get i guess? I find that most ppl that complains/have issues though are always the loudest online hence they always standout in these research. Anyway, mine’s running fine. I have 2,000 miles already. I replaced the stock tires cuz I literally ran them till they were bald. I should probably make a 1-year raw video update soon. I’ll post it next week, it’s a bit overdue lol
Hey i know this video is pretty old but does anyone have the link to the triangle battery still? and a maybe a combiner as well because both links don’t work anymore
Hey- sorry, I should've updated the comments/description (will do so after this reply). There was a recall on these triangle batteries and so the company, UPP, was basically forced to stop selling it in USA and I think UK: I'm still using mine, but I purcashed and store it this fire/explosion proof bag called "FireSak" store.getwhizz.com/products/fireproof-battery-bag. Unsure where you can buy a brand new triangle UPP battery anymore, but the facebook group for Ariel Rider Mod X-Class might have a few folks selling them because of the recall, but I would buy it at your own risk kind of thing if you go that route. I would recommend the hailong version instead (52v 20ah 0 - 1500w LG battery): amzn.to/4fauxpn As for the FBC battery combiner, unfortunately, the owner of the shop--Rick, is battling cancer so they had to shutter the business. There is a different company/brand called "Sparkcycle Works" though theirs is a bit more pricey but it's as reliable as well. Here's the link: www.sparkcycleworks.com/index.php/product/battery-blender/
@@HK-uj9qc Nothing. It really depends on what happens. I’m fortunate enough nothing major happens to mine yet, but basic maintenance like greasing the hub motor is a good practice, but I haven’t yet had to do that-you can take it to a bike shop, but that depends on the shop and the price they’ll quote you, kind of like a taking a car to a repair shop. Ariel Rider has a 1 year warranty I believe, but I never needed it since I didn’t have any issues on mine. You can join this FB group for some basic maintenance DIY and tips, or if you wanna go do a lot of crazy modding, lots of helpful ppl here: m.facebook.com/groups/906613363426000/?ref=share&mibextid=S66gvF
Can you put a link for the seat that you purchased I like that aftermarket seat. Also how many miles do you get on throttle only with your extra upgraded battery

Where did you find the rear panels???

Majority of the mods i did are linked in the description 😃
Sweet video! Part of me would be sad if my motor dies but the other part of me would be excited to upgrade to a 2000 watt motor lol

When you charge the batteries do you unplug one and charge them separately?

So you like this e-bike over the surron or super 63 ? I’m trying to decide too which one to buy
thanks for the info. bummer that they switched to the nylon gear motors.
Right on, especially after they focused hype on their superior metal gear motor
Thanks for this I've got to get that extra battery myself 😅

Donde puedo encontrar un asiento como El de tu bicicleta Gracias
Is the second battery still working good?
yup! still going strong even in cold weather!
@@LloydSim would you say the bike has been reliable after a year of use?
If you had to put that stuff in all the tires that would mean the tires are no good that comes on the bike
Agree! I honestly think ppl are just unlucky with their rides
So 2500 miles, then what? The bike is finito????
Eh, I’ve seen folks with 3,000+ miles on facebook. My friend has 6,000+ miles but he does doordash with them.
