Our guest on this episode of the Ground Floor podcast is Bihar cadre IAS officer Shreya Shree. Shreya's hometown is the Vaishali area of Bihar, but due to her father's postings across the country, she has lived in various states of India. However, destiny brought her back to Bihar, and her first posting after training was in the Vaishali region itself.
The podcast is hosted by Deepak Shankar Jorwal, who graduated from IIT Kanpur, the same institution where Shreya completed her graduation. Both alumni of IIT Kanpur discuss the campus life and sports at IIT Kanpur during the podcast.
Despite clearing the UPSC exam without any coaching, Shreya’s journey was as challenging and arduous as that of any other aspirant. She couldn't clear her prelims in the initial attempts, but in her second attempt, she cleared both the prelims and mains, and achieved an All India Rank of 71 in the UPSC exam.

हमारी इस ग्राउंड फ्लोर पॉडकास्ट की मेहमान हैं बिहार कैडर की IAS अधिकारी श्रेया श्री। श्रेया का होमटाउन बिहार का वैशाली इलाका है लेकिन अपने पिता के देश भर में पोस्टिंग होने के कारण भारत के अलग-अलग राज्यों में रहीं। लेकिन उनकी किस्मत उन्हें फिर से बिहार लेके आ गई है और उनकी ट्रेनिंग की पहली पोस्टिंग वैशाली इलाके में ही थी।
इस पॉडकास्ट को होस्ट दीपक शंकर जोरवाल कर रहे हैं। दीपक ने अपनी ग्रेजुएशन IIT कानपुर से की है, श्रेया ने भी अपनी ग्रेजुएशन IIT कानपुर से की है। दोनों IIT कानपुर के एलुमनी ने पॉडकास्ट में IIT कानपुर के कैंपस लाइफ और स्पोर्ट्स के बारे में भी बात की है।
हालांकि श्रेया ने UPSC परीक्षा बिना किसी कोचिंग के क्लियर की लेकिन इनकी यात्रा भी हर अभ्यर्थी की तरह मेहनती और कठिन रही है। पहले अटेम्प्ट्स में श्रेया अपना प्रीलिम्स भी क्लियर नहीं कर पाईं, लेकिन दूसरे अटेम्प्ट में प्रीलिम्स, मेन्स, इंटरव्यूज दोनों क्लियर किए और UPSC परीक्षा में ऑल इंडिया 71 रैंक प्राप्त की।
