I can't tell you how much insight this has provided me . I hope I get back to this comment someday and be proud of myself
Tomorrow is my 2nd upsc mains and I am really crying see this shivin sir is 1 yr senior to me and I never felt like he is speaking it feels I am speaking this I belong to a very small city compared to Delhi and I would say it bluntly med colleges are worst if u don’t feel like becoming a doctor and the biggest reason is the society there and obvio I can’t blame it, Thanku shivin sir and I hope I cross the sea soon ♥️🙏

I think constitution is the biggest slap on those who divide people on caste, creed, class,race, gender etc. I think the Constitution is the best thing ever happened to India. Independence gives freedom but constitution protects that freedom.

This was my first attempt, just came back giving mains. Acha nahi gaya 😅 coz I had no answer writing practice. This video made me feel so good, shows how much clarity of thoughts you need you become a civil servant. I was taking the preparation very lightly, onto my next attempt, more disciplined, more consistent. The part I highly highly related to was the hardwork vs IQ, coz although I'm intelligent but I lack the discipline of studying 8 hours a day, probably the main reason I won't clear mains this year. Hardwork+intelligence beats EVERYTHING. Good podcast. Pls continue the good work, with so many podcast channels running for views try to NOT compromise with quality and you'll build a loyal long term intellectual audience. The moment you start focusing on increasing subscribers the major "jahil gawaar" audience of india will force you to make low quality "glamour" content.

A Generalist is always more than a confined Super-specialist. That's what Indian Civil Services prepares you for more breadth than depth. And both horizontal and vertical knowledge they carry to tackle any situation. Unfortunately, the medicos don't understand this and have started following the herd without a well researched conscious decision. Placards won't work, if you don't have the time to discover and accept the diverse realms of the country's knowlege domain. Unfortunately, only a civil servant has a 360deg approach to a problem.
Specialisation is taboo. Super specialisation is a Taboo++ Things never work in-silos. Boasting and propagating Super-specialisation is idiocy. It is the Generalist who will always overcome a Specialist. A Generalist is a multi-specialist. When you specialize in all 19 subjects then you become a RealGeneralist. Life long exams and courses. How many medicos dare to do this? A Generalist has the power to question the system and Dr Shivin has chosen to be a Real Executive.

It will be outlandish to think a medicine student switching to a govt job in may be USA rather it is frowned upon to think about a govt job there , but so common now in india even being a MBBS doctor cant give some SATISFACTION ITS A BAD TREND it shows the stupid interference of bureaucracy in life of everything and to escape that a dedicated doctor switch the carrer to gain legitimacy and power , desh ki seva wale please rehne hi do
