Thank you for the explination about how inputs and FPS is related to eachother! This helped me understand why I cant do any zipline super jumps on certain locations where my fps drops below my normal 95-115 frams to around 60.

When comes to mouse's i could recommend a razer mamba elite BUT wireless. Scroll is practically MADE for Tap Strafing. 2 keys under thumb is everything you need to do all the movement/spinning kunai etc.
This is the only tutorial i found tap-strafing without using side inputs. I don't know why they use side inputs and make tutorials exactly that way if they're not copying from each other. I asked many of them and they didn't reply. I tried not using with side input and it worked, then i tried with side input and tried to understand the difference but couldn't notice any big difference
awesome tips, probably good to note that if you're planning on aiming for pro I'm pretty sure you can't double-bind in pro matches. Just noting since it might be better not to adjust to it too heavily if that's where you're looking to end up
I'm sure this comment had already been left here but in regards to too many or not enough W inputs you can actually change the amount of lines per scroll in windows. So you'd want to increase or decrease this number respective to your frame rate.
do slide>jump>tap strafe just before you hit jump pad.. just sprint, slide, tiny little jump + tap strafe few frames before you hit jump pad... you can jump even 180° (opposite) direction of your runnig direction without loosing double jump **fast tap strafe turn above Jump Pad before touching it
This + the keybind video really helped me A LOT. Thank you. So many explain it, and it sort of makes sense, but the forward+jump on scroll up is just so amazing. I managed to do my first: slide through a door while opening it and bouncing off of the same door. Felt good man.
Hey Treeree. I see you click also middle button (wheel) while you use jump and move forward (tap strafe). Is it unattended click or does it means something?
kinda scuffed advice, but on lower FPS you may even find manually mashing W is the key- at least for some people. both ways will take practice anyways so maybe just take big tree's advice xD
I’m not sure if it affects in game tbh. But I guess if you have an over scrolling problem it might help people of they reduce it from 3 scrolls per line to 1

Not really no. Holding a or d just makes it so you’re tap strafing to the right or left of where your looking, therefore you don’t have to turn as fast I guess. As long as you turn fast enough, you should be able to tap strafe just as well without a side inout as people who use side inouts

Hi man, awesome Vid! The only thing i don't seem to get is the 6:18 180º second Jump on Octane's Jumpad. I mean i can tap strafe to other directions but can't seem to get the 180º, and if I do, its deffinately not as clean, as fast or as far as yours. Any tips? My "momentum" seems to almost cancel itself. Thanks!
Double binding jump and move forward to the same scroll wheel direction helps, though if you don’t do that, try hitting jump in the middle of your scroll instead of after

Just a feedback: I already had jump binded to both space and back mouse wheel buttons and forward on both w key and forward mouse wheel buttons. I kept trying but still can't seem to keep the momentum on a 180º turn, my left and right tap strafes on the second jump are both flawless and cover lots of ground (air space?), but the 180º always looses a lot of momentum and I "kind of" get stuck mid air only being able to move a couple of meters backwards, nothing like what's shown on the video. I might've got one lucky or two lucky tries between houndreads but I honestly don't know if im doing something wrong or its simply hardware at this point. THANKS AGAIN!

Console player here that moved to Pc a year ago: yes, in the start It is hard but the learning curve exists and It is Very Big. My tip is to Use good keyboards, mouse, Mousepad and dont change your position everytime you play, to create muscle memory.
I'm having trouble with the octane 180 tap strafe jump, I lose moment... as if I'm just doing a normal second jump.. anyone else can help? Not sure what i'm doing wrong
@@Treeree I'm on 190fps. I've went through so many guides on it and I'm watching the input. I try and replicate the input but the results are still the same. When I 180-second jump, I lose the momentum. I even bounded both the forward+jump keys together in the same scroll. :sob:
You messed up your cfg file, either look at some similar comments I responded to already or find someone else’s video. I’d recommend just watching a generic 120 fov guide for figuring how to fix the auto exec.

I added the CFG file to try it but wanted to swap back to the old way... I removed file and launch commands from steam but Its still bound... how do I remove the keybind set up
@@Treeree really? I recently went into the setting cuz I was annoyed at how slow I was scrolling when I was looting. And I noticed there wasn't a setting for it in game. Unlike on console, you can change cursor speed and scroll speed. So I bumped it up a little and it made it better. Now, I'm able to get to the bottom of the death box with 1 or 2 scrolls.
@@Thomeehd I didn’t really think of that. I think you’re right that it does effect death boxes, but I think that lowering windows settings doesn’t help with over scrolling problems in regards to tap strafing…. Idk it’s weird man

Just tap strafe everytime you jump or slide jump, even if its not necessary Just to build the muscle memory.

Just take jump off the bind for pro, and use space bar just a little delay can still tap strafe

tap strafing isn't possible on controller because controller has analog inputs and you only get lurch with digital inputs, you need to use MnK

Actually no. Apex is my first pc FPS game , I started in season 3. It was a hard switch. My season 3 kid was like .69 for reference. I was really bad

Nothing is bound to mouse 3 l, I just keep accidentally hitting it

You need a frame rate of at least 100 to do it I’m pretty sure

60 FPS is too low of a frame rate to do 180 tap strafes without holding A or D, I think you need at least 100 fps to do so from personal experiences.
