Don’t forget to like and comment anything even a random emoji. I forgot to show removing the coolant fan module clip / connector in this video since I already showed it in a different video. Let me know what other advice you have or what other things I missed. Thanks! More engine videos soon because I need to clean up all my cars that have been sitting too long.
Hey man, been a subscriber for awhile now. Learned quite a bit from the channel, thanks by the way. Having an issue with my 2.0 and haven’t come across anything to help. Was wondering if could bother ya for some insight?
Which video covers the coolant fan module connector removal! This is the last connector I need to remove and I cant find the vid. Thanks for this great video. Super helpful.
Been watching for a year your wealth of knowledge and calm demeanor have saved me and my customers a lot of money explaining the time saving tricks and problems and solutions that come along working on German anything I cannot express how much I appreciate your videos and the time to explain clearly bless you bud from tomcats mobile repair Truckee CA
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. The information and visual style is top notch even if it inconveniences you. For me the best past is you do some of it outside like most of us that don’t have climate controlled garages with lifts would( not hating on any one that does )
Thanks for showing us this, even though its a junk car donor your using, sitting for 3 years. I have 164k on my 2012 Q5 with older timing chain I discovered changing top timing chain cover gasket and debating how far I want to take it to service position. Wish I was close to you, to pay you or someone like you to do the job, not sure who to trust for mechanics, I usually do all work myself the past 30 years.
Yo that was totally awesome I've had to fuck with the course support before and to see you just pick it up and walk away with it was absolutely amazing thanks for the videos I appreciate YOU and what you do
I just found your channel last week. Your videos are amazing! I use RUclips as background noise at work but can't watch your channel bc I get sucked in and away from what I'm doing. Only a few other channels can do that and they have millions of subscribers. That is such a creative way to remove the core support without messing with the ac. Would you tilt the support (like you mentioned) for timing tensioner or full removal? Would this be a similar procedure for the b9 a4 or other audis that don't have the gen 3 2.0t?
awesome video Nap!! I’ve been waiting for this one along time.. I have a couple of suggestions, I am not a fan of bending those condenser tabs on the drivers side to hang the condenser off to the side.. what I found was to remove the aluminum snouts that hold the crash bar, that inlet line to the condenser from compressor is in the way causing not enough slack to get the condenser up and over the tabs on the drivers side.. I’ve removed the carrier on four B8’s now doing timing upgrades for people and myself and I have found something different every time.. I’d recommend to first disconnect the battery since a lot of connections are being broken especially the air bags.. awesome video with the details that made you the leading expert on these Audis.. yeah and it was already disconnected but one of the toughest parts I’ve dealt with is disconnecting that fan module that’s always a tough one. Yes remove those core support brackets to reinstall the carrier they slide in to the plastic slots.. please yes show a re install.. I miss your long videos 👍🏻👍🏻
I’ll have to look at it again, the tabs on the radiator get in the way but maybe I can pull the top pins and move the radiator around. I very rarely put one of these in service position. When I do it on a lift I do all the timing chains and remove the engines without taking the front bumper off.
@@NaptownTuner dude I've been a subscriber for yrs when you had long hair and like 500 subs... Congrats on 888 videos but more imp almost 40k subs. Your videos are informative I've learned allot and it looks like not giving up has been paying off. You deserve more but your def getting there. 🙏 Oh yeah ty for ALWAYS talking about them knipex or kni pex I bought a pair and love them! Keep pushing never give up! 👌
Love the channel. So my father gave me my sister's 2012 q5 suv. She never changed the oil was driving hear a metal sound and shut the care off. A compression test was done and all 4 cylinders are dead. I think the timing jumped. Do you possibly have a engine for sale or no of a good place to get one used. I am going to pull the it apart and see if anything was damaged and see if I luck out and it was just the timing. It is full of oil and has no leaks. Thank you.
Really appreciate and enjoy the videos man. Had a heart attack two weeks ago but eventually imma get around to doing this to my jetta. Gonna finally rebuild my 1.8t. And scince the heart attack imma have to buy some of ya fancy impact wrenches lol.
Fantastic video mate....i had to replace condenser the connection was fused to the condenser and after every effort to remove carefully FAIL it snapped.....and it is 1 full pipe from the condenser to the low pressure connector....any chance you know how to remove and replace that pipe thanks in advance
What year is this car? Not all b8s and b8.5 allow to just slide the ac condenser out, ac lines got revised in 2010 or 2011 and now the air dam brackets on the drivers side are getting in the way. Was the case for my 2010 s4 and saw the same for somebody’s 2014 a4. P.S. oh, I see that you are just bending the lines a bit
I have an B8 A5 (2010) for some reason i cant get my condenser to line up with the radiator clips. the rad looks newly replaced. Are the A4 and A5 radiators different by chance? Also having trouble lining up the fan shroud with the back of the radiator, theyre both just a tiny bit off. any suggestions? Thanks for all the videos, just got the car and you are a major help with repairs.
basically, condenser freon line at the bottom is messing up with you. You need to unscrew this line from the condenser OR bend the condenser metal guides (like on this video) OR rip off plastic thing from the main radiator. And A4 and A5 radiators are the same.

Yeah it’s the absolute worst, it always adds additional parts and time to jobs
Got my bumper off today to change my radiator, thanks to your tutorials. I always come to your channel when I need to work on an Audi 😅

Хорошая работа👍Спаибо за труды🙂
Glad to see your using a tripod also! Great detail in this video also.

Hey @NaptownTuner, was wondering if you have to code or do any adaptations when you put a used 6 speed Tiptronic in a B8 A4?
Great vid! Just wondering what would happen if you’ve left the tranny lines connected when you pulled the whole support back?
Nice! Thanks for the video!

That is very useful mate great video btw
Thanks from Australia mate.
I am so soooo sooooo soooooo glad that I don't have one of these 2.0ts anymore
Do the homelink modules go bad ? i have a 2009 and it wont work with my garage
So can you do an airbag reset video and explain what the different numbers *2,4,6* mean when resetting? 😅
Hi Naptown. Can I ask you a question. What is the coolant capacity of this 2.0tfsi 2010 car. Thanks.
do you have a video of going into service position with taking off the least amount of parts
man of his word

What do you think about reliability from a high mileage Audi A4,A6 from 2016+? Any engine
