- Not really, but I suspect Tom would go for that if it was suggested to him at post time. Maybe send him your resumé, that might be good for laugh.
In any case his abject misery over losing Johnny the Boy as his loyal box opening assistant is only (temporarily) assuaged by the excellent militaria extracted of this weeks pile of boxes.
BOILERPLA... ER, GENERAL INFO:
I'd like to thank each and every one of you who take the time to watch DtC, and am very grateful to everyone who takes even more time out of their day to comment. In a perfect world Tom or Ob would be able to engage with everyone in the comment section, but alas the world is far from perfect. Tom doesn't know how (and refuses to learn) and Ob is something of a Luddite.
FAQ & A:
Q: I have a burning question about something in the video! What should I do?!
A: An email sent directly to Tom is the best way to get your question answered, because while he most definitely reads each and every one of your comments, he hasn't quite gotten the hang of replying to them in the comment section, and is not likely to in the foreseeable future. Or ever. Seriously, he still calls RUclips "the U-TOOBZ".
Tom's personal email is: herrwittmann@gmail.com
You can also call him if you prefer (856-866-8733) between the hours of 9 AM and 4 PM, EST. This may be slightly more difficult because he's forever running around away from his desk, but it's worth a shot.
Q: I have an amusing anecdote, scathing criticism, or heartfelt compliment that I deeply need to express and I require / demand / long for a personalized response! What should I do?
A: See "A" above.
Again, Tom's email is: herrwittmann@gmail.com

Who'd have thought, a package from Guildford, Surrey. My home town, born there 59 years ago. Made my day, thanks Tom.
Happy we could accidentally oblige, Steve!
Thank you Mr. Wittmann, a new video sure does make Monday a lot more manageable!
Fantastic channel, just discovered 👍🇬🇧👌
I think I would get the white Luft vetted, guys. Insignia wouldn't be metal unless he was a flight officer aspirant. In any case, it looks way too new. Inside of the visor is suspect.
Good call and already in the e pipeline.

Oberst rank on the tunic Mr. Wittman
The undercover half giggle at 1830 got me.
Esslingen is the town right by where I am stationed at here in the Stuttgart area. The town has a wonderful mid-evil Christmas market. Famous town on the Neckar River. I might have to buy that dagger. I learn so much from you Tom.
The Dick company is still in business with tools and knifes .
There was no other dagger maker in this town
An uncle of me worked from 1970s to 2001 for Friedrich Dick company, famous for both files and butchers/ kitchen knifes. When he was alive, passed away last year, he told me , that one day he and a coworker had to remove old stuff from a rarely used room. They found an old box, filled with raw/ unfinished blades, my uncle had no weapons knowledge, so he was notsure If dagger or bayonnet. Today the company is producing no more their famous files, only butchers/ kitchen stuff .Only a knife called Stechmesser still looks like a dagger. Nowadays factory building is in Deizisau. The old buildings in Esslingen still exist, being used for other purpuses. The large chimney with ,Dick' is fun for english speakers.
Current trademark is either the shown one, or F. Dick , with a semicircular arrow on top.
I actually thought it was you in the photo ,I presumed at first glance that you had dressed up in one of those booths that produces the image in black and white! Best wishes, Ross ,England🫡
Incredible edged weapons ⚔
Looks like you still have the sos sickness. Hope you are feeling better.
❤
Folsom California is noted for the huge prison there.
25:30 Looked like Stauffenberg's Tunic!!
Tom. I don't think those collar tabs on that tunic are correct. They should have the same color in them as on the shoulder boards. These are white like collar tabs for infantry. Has anyone else noticed this?
I was thinking the same thing.
Wow
Do you really think this guy needs your opinion? This guy is an experts expert! They claim to be drinking alcohol ,it’s tea!
Something about the Oberst's Waffenrock insignia was off, firsly, his Litzen collar insignia did not correspond to shoulderboard Waffenfarbe, and the Waffenfarbe under the the Oberst insignia is a little bit crudely cut and is not proportional to the rank insignia
It's since been returned to when it came.
Hello Team Wittmann! Regarding the chained SS, the symbol you guys always mention on the chain, could you tell me what that is called.
That would be the "Kulturzeichen".
@@WittmannAntiqueMilitaria Kulturzeichen = Cultural symbols. Makes sense now. Many thanks!
What auction company did you get that stuff from?
I bought an original set of SA guards with a pommel nut that the seller said was all from an original complete dagger. The guards check out but the nut does not. It probably goes to another type of German dagger or sword ? Could you help me identify what it goes to if I send you some pics?
I never owned a German World War 2.
Uniform
❤❤❤ first.thank you Sir and Son.gruss Felix From Düsseldorf Germany
The chained is a parts dagger sorry , the chain looks not good .
It makes no sense that the nickel eagle is worn and the rest of the dagger is like new .
Sorry for that
Esslingen is east of Stuttgart.
and the factory is still in business. they do kitchen knives though.
Dagger is an Fake, no Manufactormarks or RMZ-Number on there... stupid fake
Привет из Израиля, у меня есть такая команда люфтвафе как на фуражке
