In this video, we are doing rough in electrical at the a-frame! It's been a long time coming but here we are, the A-frame has electricity! Let's gooooooo!!! Come see how I did it!
Let me give another quick disclaimer, I am not an electrician. My county does not require a licensed electrician to do residential electrical work. So, please do your own research on your own county codes before getting started on any work.

@MyLovelyTexasHome I love you too, baby!
A few minutes in. I learned how to diy electric as well. It is a bit nervous but doing the research helps. Satisfying work. Congrats
Thanks, Jerry! I learned as long as you keep it simple, it’s really not so bad.🙏👍
That was genius, man and truck pulling cable. Love the home, it reminds me of a tree house.
Awesome! Glad to hear you liked the video!🙏👍
You are the man!! Thanks for this awesome video full of great information
Thanks, buddy! Glad you liked it!🙏👍
Congrats dude! I'm on electrical now!
Congrats to you too, dude!🙏👍
Very cool Darryl! I’m just baffled at the scope of your project, it’s like mine times 3 😂
I recently installed my utilities too so I could totally emphasize with the challenges you went through. Loved that cable pulling method 😂
Glad you liked the video, Tristan! The SEU cable was a tough one. But very gratifying as well. 🙏👍
@@darryldarks how long do you think until you’re done with the A frame?
@TheDIYCabinGuy Hopefully in the next few months🙏
Super impressed you’ve done such a nice job on this AFrame, what’s your total cost.”? I’m thinking about building an AFrame to live in.
Thank you so much! I’ll be coming out with a cost breakdown pretty soon. 🙏👍
I really like your carpentry work so far; but as an electrical contractor, it was tough to see you running AL SER cable underground, it should be XHHW-2 or URD, bare AL is not rated for underground. I’d run separate equipment ground rods and wire to the building to ensure the building is grounded were that uninsulated ground in the SER cable to fail. Or just pull proper underground rated cable. I made this mistake early in my career and had to pull a new feeder 3 years later when the pipe inevitably filled with water, entered the outer jacket and corroded the bare ground.
Hey brother! I’m glad to hear you’re liking the videos. I appreciate your concern about the house and you sharing your experience. Every final decision made about the electrical install was made under the guidance of a professional electrician. Thanks for watching the video! Take care 🙏👍
