In this First Ride video, Chase takes a spin on one of Triumph's limited Moto2 Editions of the 2024 Street Triple 765. With a higher seat hight and clip-ons will this bike's even more aggressive body position improve or hurt the overall package? Chase loved the RS model so how will this one do?

No one is thanking Jesse. Thank you Jesse.
OC: I sat on the Moto2.. I bought the RS. For me it was all about the handlebars. The triple clamp yoke on the Moto2 is stunning, almost like mechanical art. But, I don’t want to spend all of my ride time in that aggressive of a position. Its exhausting. I bought a Cosmic Yellow RS and couldn’t be more pleased with it.
Thanks Jessie, this is the closest that some of us will ever get to that bike and I think that that must be one of the prettiest 'bug eyes' that I have seen.
Picked up the Moto2 two months ago and having way too much fun even though I never considered myself a sport rider. For street riding if you take the spacer above the rear shock out it drops the seat down to the same level as the RS so clip-ons aren't as aggressive. This bike is heaven.
That "removing the spacer above the rear shock" would make the leg position even worse though?
The RS and the Moto 2 have the same rear shock spacer. The R doesn’t have the spacer. FYI
@@RadDadisRad I guess the guy that wrote the top comment is wrong then ? But the rear of the Moto 2 seems higher than the RS ?
@@mathias6423 he’s wrong. The RS and the Moto 2 share the same rear suspension down to the spacer.
Moto 2 and RS have the same rear shock spacer.
Please be kind and remove this misleading comment.
My son and I took delivery of our street triples on the same day in March, I got the RS in cosmic yellow and he got the Moto 2 in crystal white, my son's in the forces so his time at home is limited and I look after the Moto 2 while he's away, the Moto 2 is a lovely bike but for me only for limited time as it's got a quite extreme riding position, it reminds me of my old GSX-R 750 minus the fairing, if you do a lot of track days it's perfection, saying that I'd take my RS every time even at the same price as for every day riding the RS is sublime and with exactly the same power as the Moto 2.
I bought the RS and have 152 miles on it after 4 days. I looked at all of the specs and differences and decided because of the price that the RS was way more at it's price than the Moto2 is at it's price. After the first rides I am very pleased with how it handles and the power.
Cruise control is a huge upgrade, also if you like a sporty mode but don’t want track set your rider to ABS-Road, MAP-Track and TCS-Sport. I added cruise control, heated grips, frame sliders, Sprint P-08 F1-85 air filter, Spark full ti exhaust and TPMS. Only thing left is to delete the ugly orange side markers on the front brakes and swap out the turn signals for the rocker LED.
Did you consider the resale value vs that of the numbered bike?
AND HES GOT THE MOTO 2 PLATE . nice touch. very cool bike. thanks jesse
I wanted a Moto-2 Super bad, ultimately it came down to the fact that it has clip-ons that made me decide on a 24 STRS in cosmic yellow. Over 3500 miles now and one new rear tire later, best bike I've ever owned!
Did you put on another Super Corsa SP or go for a touring style tire like the Road 6?
At last a decent review on my moto 2 same colour, glad you like it mate , i purchased my bike in England without demonstrating the standard rs and when I took delivery I rode it home thinking what have i done its to aggressive but the more i rode it the more I thought this is meant to be like this and now It fits me perfectly its its not great around town but i didn't buy it for a commuter, I've fitted cruise and heated grips and a evotech tailtidy , ive a tuono factory 2019 and gth thinking of selling it because I prefer the street more 😊 love the videos btw❤
it's so sad, no one is thanking Jesse in the comments.
Thanks Jesse !
I had ordered the Moto2 back in December. Tucson Triumph got the bike in late May. I never had a Street Triple. I do have a Speed Triple 1200RR. The comfort on the Street Moto2 is great. I got CC and heated grips along with engine protection. Its been hot here in the desert. I just turned the 600 mile mark last week. I love this bike! Great review Chase.
Tucson here too! I've got the Trident 660. I've always wanted a Street Triple, but I wanted a new bike, and the Trident was my budget. The new Cosmic Yellow is calling to me though. I want it! Maybe I'll wait for a used '23/'24 next year or see what the next model update brings. I love my Trident, so waiting won't be hard.
I also got a 23 Trident for my friend Junior. He's in Marana. I'd like to meet up with you Sean. I'm up off Oracle in Saddlebrooke Catalina area near jct 77/79
Video quality is so crisp and smooth, especially from the rider POV. 👌🏽
Jesse hope you didn’t forget to sanitize the seat.😗
I bought a 2024 Carnival Red 765 RS. That highlighter makes a pretty bike. I prefer the full bars vs clip-ons. I need to delete my front wheel reflectors
Ordered mine in March and picked it up in June. Best street bike I’ve ever owned. I may have been the first in Georgia too.😉
I just watched your 2024 Street Triple RS first ride video, and here's another first ride
Amazing ride jess!
Congratulations for Chanel!! From Brazil 🙏
Thank you Jesse for sharing the bike for our benefit…..and for Science ❤
OC - Got the RS in yellow and for 2.8k more, I would stay RS all day.
It lacks for nothing and is an incredible bike.
I love the Moto2 as well - definite market for a numbered bike with the upgraded Ohlins.
Great first ride as always Chase 👌🏻
Love the red too!
the moto 2 upgrades are meant to help you cornering on the track. so the rs shouldn't be any less better in other situations.
Thank You Jessie bro you're real king
Triumph has been looking good these days. I wish they’d go back to the aluminum perimeter frame over the steel tubing on the speed triple and tiger adv bikes they’re running now. I get why the adv bikes want flex but if I got a tiger 1200 it’s to kill miles and wind up that beautiful sounding motor on the street. The older I get the more I realize the perfect motorcycle is the one you already have because every bike is always going to be missing something. Saw a motus 1600 with its transverse v4 the other day at favorite local dealer where I take my wheels to have the tires changed, and the welds on its tube style frame looked worse than what I could do, and I’ve only welded like 3 things in my whole life lmao. Comparing them to the welds on my z1000 it’s like professional vs 16 year old in the garage with dads welder
Picked up a moto 2 the other day for 6100. The most minor crash damage. Number 383 is about to be back on the road with a new clip on, tail fairing and foot peg 👌🤘
Ty JC !
It’s a beautiful bike and I want one
OC. I would go for the RS if I was in the market for this style of bike. The Moto 2 is great with all the bling, but I feel it would be just an expensive upgrade when compared to the RS (apart from the fact that all the Moto 2 limited editions have been sold). The RS, for me, has everything I would want in a bike as a commuter, occasional track day or something for a fun day's ride. RSMF.
OC. Got the 2020 RS. Looking forward if got the chance to purchase this. Clip on really changed the look. Extra HP and onlins fork 🤤🤤
Nice bike! Thanks for the recommendation on that beginner series, too🤝🏼
Thank you Jessie
OC: Man, the upgrade cost to the moto 2 is the total bidget for my full bike 😂😂
OC: Sat on the Moto 2 at the dealer just the other day. Can't believe they haven't sold it! I think it's way too aggressive for mainly street riding. I would go with the RS. Still has plenty of bling but much more comfy
OC: definitely the rs version for the same reasons you mentioned also that ss behind you was badass 👌
That color is insane!!!😮
That would be a Righteous Color, along with the Yellow ….. on the “ R !!!!! “
Thank 🎉You
Cruise control is optional btw, even on the moto 2. It's like $300 iirc, bought it and the heated grips for my 2024 STRS.
Thank you Jesse
Super smooth bike😊😊😊
THANK YOU JESSE❤
Hey Chase, amazing video as always. Can you help me with those aftermarket front turn signal indicators. I would like to know where Jesse got them from?
Brogue motorcycles!
Very nice, Chaser. 🤙
So glad I went with the yellow 🤩 🥰
That’s one beautiful motorcycle
thank you jessie
Thank you Jesse!👌🏾
Uumm … where’s your number plate?😉
Just kidding! Gorgeous bike man! 👏🏽
Thanks jesse
It looks so good.
What is the name of the track playing during the cinematics? Is no one else wondering that? lol
Thanks for the entertainment!
I've got a white one and one 4 trackdays and a 4400 mile roadtrip this year. Thing is on just under 7K miles in 6 months
OC, ordered the RS in cosmic yellow and picking it up tomorrow morning 😁🏍
Get cruise control and heated grips. They are amazing to make a better daily. I added tpms too just because I want to know how much the tires change when we have 40F mornings and 90F afternoons.
How's the seating position compared to rs660 looks like it would be fairly similar? I'm thinking of trading my 660 in on a moto 2
the gold ohlins up front look really good on this bike but being older i would stick with the RS plus i like the colour combos that the RS models have.
Thank you jessi❤
I like the bars ,ther like my Datona, they suit me ,nice bike bro
I’m so glad I bought the 09 sp
I'm curious what you would chose between the Speed triple or the street triple?
THANKS JESSE
Forever I Love Atlanta
Did you change something with the camera on this? Seems more pulled out, kind of like we can see more of whats going on.
Thanks for the vid and review. IMHO - The neon yellow and the better suspension on the front are worth the extra $2800.
handling is perfect moto2
RS in gold, so good looking
OC: Holy shit, there’s a pigeon 😂 😂
I have my Rider mode set to ABS-Road TCS-Sport and MAP-Track
Nice camera setup!
Word of caution for Jesse : my friend has the full titanium sc project with the S1 pipe. For me, it's just TOO much and actually makes the sweet note of the triple TOO raunchy and rough. Since you've to go full system or bust for this bike, may I suggest the SC1R if you're going the sc project route? Or get the sc headers with the akra long can: best sound + performance combo though looks may not be to everyone's liking
And for context : I had the daytona 675r with the rare Akra full system. And by the gods that was glorious music, just the best exhaust I've ever heard on ANY bike! Perfect balance between being loud but not stupid loud.
OC, The RS. Peace Chase.
I set my front master cylinder to 22 for the road and 19 for the track. It’s money.
Welp, looks like Triumph had the same difficulty as the aftermarket in building that clip on design. Looks like they decided to invert the mount direction and go right over the fork. Those really aren't low enough for track days. You'd need to rip the headlight off and use a track fairing to get the needed clearance.
Absolutely love my Triumph. Completely agree on the RS over the higher Moto2 even tho it's special.
I'm huge on a simple look, the R model comes in white which I love. But the RS is better in every other way because of included extras like an included belly pan, bar end mirrors which alone bridges the Gap. Then of course the different TFT, rear shock, engine tune Etc. Etc.
I currently own a 2019 Street Triple S 660 (with an SC Project Exhaust) in white and plan to upgrade in a year and a half time. If Triumph makes the RS in white I will be getting one 1000%.
I have a 24 red RS. It’s fun. It’s a great daily bike with heated hand grips, cruise control and tpms
converting the new street triple to a moto2 is interesting. For the older bike you have to change a ton. I’m curious what is different with the bar clearance and screen to convert non-moto2 bikes. Limited edition just makes it a pain. No daytona announcement….it’s to a point where I’m moving onto another option due to lack of clarity.
SS in the back ground 😎😎
OC: Thank you Jesse. Honestly when Triumph debuted the Moto2 I wasn't a fan of the highlighter yellow livery, but it grew on me and seeing one in person I found I really liked it. It's 1 of only 2 Triumphs that I've liked since the Daytona. That being the Trident 660 and the Street Triple RS Moto2. That said for the price difference you really are paying for the track mode, Olins forks and the Highlighter livery. With the Street Triple RS being perfect for daily street riding and the Moto2 being a lil overkill for daily use. I think I'd go for the Street Triple RS at least until Triumph relaunches the new Daytona that's been spied out doing testing.
Bruhh you literally got the best job.
That really deep red color they do for the new Street RS is my fav color at the moment for these bikes, would match a black Dainese race leather suit with red details on it perfectly
About the tires, I do not really care what the bike comes with as long as they are not dangerous, in 2018 I bought a brand new Ninja 1000SX, I can not remember what oem tires that bike came with but those were not good at all
I often wanna switch to Pirelli Angel GT's or something that gets almost double the range as those Diablo Rossos and have good enough grip for fast street riding anyways. I do not want to get new tires ever year as I would have to with Diablo Rosso tires.
I have that bike/color. Luv everything about it! 😈
@@ZabDevin Yeah even though it is way to small of a bike for me I enjoyed riding it. I would much rather buy that bike than the KTM 890 Duke R thats for sure.
A set of tires every year is preferable to a ride in an ambulance and a smashed bike. 🙂
OC: RS all day, that moto2 looks amazing but the amount that little bit extra would get used… not worth it for me. However I am a sucker for limited editions!
Any pplans to try the triumph bonneville bobber? i've seen you do some more cruiser things lately and would love a C2W look at that bike!
Is that back no plate supposed to be like that.
I just bought the Trident 660 man you are making feel like I need to sell my new bike for the moto2
OC - I personally looking at the regular RS. Just isn't worth the more money for the type of rides I do. Great looking bike though.
Short question Yamaha mt09 sp or Triumph ST 765 rs
Man I wish they had put the same fairing as the Speed Triple RR
What kind of fender eliminator is it? Where can I find it?! Thanks
Motodynamics
Does the exhaust sounds different of the Moto2 versus the RS?
No. We own both
Anyone else having issues with Paint Fade?? I’ve had my Moto2 for maybe 3, 4 months tops.. the paint has faded really bad already.. going to call triumph Tuesday and try to get it warrantied. Some of the highlighter green is fading white already.. 3 months…
I’ve had cars outside in the sun and winter for years and never got paint fade this bad. Regardless I absolutely love the bike, it’s my top choice and favorite so far.
The longer i watched the video.. The more i liked the paint. OC
Thank you to jessy
Camera car came in clutch with the zoom in on the camero SS 23:15
It does have cruise control you just have to order it
Leo vinci best slip on or Akro✊🔥🔥
Goon approval of high vis and clip ons
Furthermore why does a naked have clip ons when theres no benifits from tucking unlike a supersport.
If I had the cash. Save up some more and get the Thruxton :).
I put the rosso 4 on my Daytona moto 2 so yeah think they don’t need the sp v3 tire there to expensive tbh the rosso 4 are just as good and you’ll get more life out of it
Oh, man… a rosso 4 in a track day Daytona????!!!! 🤦🏻♂️
Why are you riding so close to the curb? And what’s up with the “I want this bike to stay asleep”?
I miss my 2019 765R
This vid couldn't have come at a better time. I've got a chance to snag one of these this weekend, and the info you provided definitely helps!
Get it. As someone who was deciding between the 3.... if you can, why not?
RS is a more ergonomic bike and balances the MOTO-2 and the R. If you have to have ohlins all around then you have to get the Moto-2
Glad I could help
Went RS. After the test ride I knew that's where I wanted to be from a body position and comfort perspective. The Moto2, as sexy as it is, is just a little toooo committed for what I'm after in a street/canyon bike. But I'm jealous of whomever buys it, even so!
@@scottmcpeek4132 agreed, the Moto-2 is purty but the commitment is for a track focused bike which I agree is too much for a canyon machine/commuter. I went with the RS as well because of that. I was going to get a Speed Triple 1200 RS but that’s just too much speed for a naked.
Him sitting at a light : :| The Moto2 : :) A Chevelle : >:)
Such a sexy bike! Thanks, Jessy!
How is this compare to MT 09 Gen 3? - Had a Mt 09 crashed it and now i'm looking for a new bike couse that one had a joke instead of a frame.
Power- mt09 more midrange pulls
Handling- RS all day, its so easy to go fast
Comfort- best seat ever on RS
Suspension- RS wins by far. Smooth ride and at the same time planted
Brakes- those Brembo stylema miles better
I’ve own 3gen mt09 sp
@@mingern10 Thank you for your answer :D
@@mingern10Street triple more firm and racey top end power , mt09 more easy to drive and more mx riding position✊🔥
Street triple Moto2 vs Ducati monster sp. which one & why?
765 Moto2 is easier to daily. MSP is tall af, and runs hotter -- but it's a nice bike. Obviously, the big 937cc twin has a completely different feel than the smoother running 765 which needs revs.
