    Hey man my axle seal is leaking just like yours. It was after a clutch install and transmission work. Think it could have been mechanic error or just something common on srt-4s!

      1221Ralph of the seal wasn't leaking before and they had to do work that requires them to take the axels out they could have tore the seal when installing the axle. Honestly aren't too bad to replace but would be worth checking with the shop.

    Why did you remove the entire unit? Just pop the axle out of the intermediate shaft

      Charlie Smith video was to show how to remove the whole axle assembly. Wasn’t a half shaft vid :)

    Do you have to drain the trans fluid before you do this?

    • @2ZERO8
      @2ZERO8  7 лет назад

      Donut4life760 yes it's a good idea cause depending when you pull the axel out of the tranny it will leak fluid if you just do the half shaft you don't have to

      i just need to do the passengers

    • @2ZERO8
      @2ZERO8  7 лет назад

      Donut4life760 well depends if you're just doing the half shaft which goes right to the hub or the whole thing cause the inner half goes into the tranny

      DIY Ethan Hey man great video! Keep it up . I have a question, my passenger side axel snapped while driving so I need to replace it but I was wondering what was the materials I'm a use to replace it for a new one ? Definitely transmission fluid but I also heard I need some type of Grease ?

    Hey man is your neon a project car? lol

      Haha pretty much! It's just been abused over the years so I'm trying my best to get her back to her glory days. Right now I'm replacing the clutch. I have a nice huge list of things I've replaced on it and I've only had it for a year... She has come a long ways though.

      +DIY Ethan That's good man! Most people would just sell it and not deal with it. How many miles? mine has 82k original clean title.

      bought it with 119k not at 135k. its definitely getting back to where it should be. Finally got it running correctly but still need a tune though.
