Holy cr*p Batman, that worked! Our Keurig 2.0 is now working again. The just purchased 1 week ago Keurig 2.0 that is. Ugh! Our previous model had to be fooled with for over a year to keep it working until the fill pump finally went out. This might be our last. Anyway, thanks for your vid - my caffeine addiction may now continue. Ha!

Thanks for all this info. I just ordered the 2.0 today on Amazon, and wasn't aware that it had the ability to use the 4 cup pods. I also wasn't aware that there are "new" pods with coding on them. You saved me a lot of trouble. I have the small K10, but needed something with a multi-cup capacity, and I thought the K250 would fit the bill. Wish I had done more research before ordering. It will be a nice unit, after applying the hacks though.

Clean the needle on the bottom.

With the cup hack, the needle is not in the cup. The cup is essentially free floating. So the needle does not hold the cup open. That's why this issue occurs. Thanks for your comment.

Phil, your 'clean the needle on the bottom' tip really got me to smile today! I mean just knowing that it was this guy (aka Rob) who had come up with this ingenious K-Cup hack job in the first place, well, that also tipped me off that 'Rob' would have easily consider the possibility of a plugged needle as well. (heh) But hey it's all good Phil, for I too have asked similar type questions now and again myself! (Grin)

Robs Vlogs and Reviews Btw Rob, I recently bought a K40 elite Keurig machine and made what is coded as a newbie: "I D 10 T" error. (hah) Yeah I really don't know what I was thinking at the time when I had placed a single serve Melitta coffee filter into the machine and thought it would work?! Well, needless to say, I ended up with coffee grounds everywhere! (haha!) Yup, my newbie error was equivalent to asking you if you had "cleaned the needle on the bottom" first? (hah!) And so for right now, (at least until I get brave enough to incorporate your clever method) this Keurig newbie will go ahead and purchase the reusable 'fill-it-yourself' K-cup container. (Besides that, I do need a refillable container anyway.)
And speaking of refillable containers, I feel that Keurig needs to automatically include their refillable cup container within EVERY single brewing system that they are selling! (especially within their so-called 'Elite' brewing system at the very least!) The fact is Rob, the whole reason I decided to buy the Keurig brewing machine is because I thought it would offer a more overall "Green" type brewing system! And yes, it always was my intention to rarely use any of their plastic prefilled containers anyway! But in the end, (and as far as I'm concerned) I now know that the Keurig company is just another lame greed driven, and non-green manufacturer! (sigh)
Oh and just in case you hadn't already figured out what the so-called newbie customer "I D 10 T" error code means? Well, it's just another way of saying it's an "Idiot" error! (Grin)
Note: It is important when pronouncing this code to your customers, that you first need to lower your voice some before saying this code in its longer version.
::::: "This this is a common "I D Ten T' error that happens all the time! So there is no need to feel embarrassed about it! Besides that, the good news is that I can easily fix this error in no time! Soooo, will you be paying me with a check, credit card or pay pall."::::: ; P

Hi, I know I am late to the hacking brewing game, but in your first video you only cut the top of a large k-cup off under the brackets and stuck it in the keurig machine. In this video you have a whole large shell. So when did that come in the picture and did you just clean a large one and reuse it until it needs replacing. I don't understand how there is NOT a hole in the large shell at the bottom or did I not just see it. Thanks for the videos you make!!!!

in the description of the first video I explain why is also annotations I believe however it's the same concept it's just the cup is more sturdy just take the top off of the big cup and cut a hole out of the bottom

kinda kills the convenience of kuerig. by the cheap kuerig and to make big cup just run it twice. damn you kuerig

paul ross well, the reason we bought this machine is because we would have the option between a carafe of coffee and a cup. The bad part is it seems that keurig decided to limit the amount of coffee we can get with a cup. so this hack ruclips.net/video/nVdF-S9OG5A/видео.html that I thought of solved the limitation, However; there was a problem. Hince this video. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Ours was a replacement for our that failed under warranty. Very easy easy company to deal with for warranty actually. Our failed unit was an original and they had to send the 2.0 as the original was discontinued. Still an easy process but will have to remember to save the a few lids when we get em. Great vid btw. Do you know if they have one of the adapters available that you can you a regular packaged coffee?
