I've just unpicked the stitches on my handbag strap, just where the clip is. Dab of clear nailvarnish to stop the stitches running any further than I want. Will make suitable holes by hammering a nail through them, then proceed with the snap fastener.

If you're in India, u can procure it from any bag retail or repairing shop else u can try your local hardware shops,🙏
