Thanks for this side by side comparison! I actually bought my Vengeance RGB Pro SL (in white) because the cutouts around the light cover match my Corsair 5000D Airflow case cutouts. I never realized the SL sticks were shorter, but they fit perfectly with the space beneath my giant twin tower air cooler and second tower fan. I'm glad I got these!
The sl version of the vengeance rgb pro ram was for a reason, not just astheatics. It was because of previous radiator clearance issues that the old vengeance rgb pro's had
@@jlmonterrosa14 only thing I’ve noticed in change is whatever they used for the white light is a little more white compared to a peachy white in the original ones
I’m being told by a Corsair Support tech that 2 boxes of 2x16 Corsair Vengeance Pro SL with the same specs and speed 3600 MHz aren’t really the same as a 4 X 16 GB Memory Kit. I haven’t bought one of those since I bought Patriot Viper 4X8GB Memory Kit and 1 of the sticks was bad. So I told the guy it doesn’t make sense. They’re the same model and serial number plus the Type DDR4 and the latency and speed.

I read that the new SL pro has 10 rgb lighting zones vs 5 on the regular ones. I haven't been able to confirm that though.
The old ones have 10 as well
@@zazaman9991 weird could've fooled me. The new sl pro has much better light diffusion and seperation.

thank you this was helpful!
PCB appears thinner on the SL
I love Corsair but this time it's Insane marketing tactics by the legendary company
u confused me more
if I have the vengeance pro in two of my slots will it still work if I put the SL in the other two?
Yes it will work fine. Just make sure you get the same frequency

I have both the vengeance rgb pro SL and the standard vengeance rgb pro is it safe to combine the two just like how you did in the video?
Yes its safe, they are basically the same. You could even use completely different sticks, although performance would not be optimal.
@@oscarmathia6112 alright thank you for the clarification I appreciate it man!
You can use any RAM but you will be limited to the lowest clock speed on the selection you use
A bit random but do you happen to be Scandinavian?
A shame the SL is slower than PRO...WTF Corsair?
You don't even mention how the SL has worse internal specs then the standard pro.
Awful video.
Cry me a river QQ
So the pro standard is more good to buy? Bcs i wanna buy one of them this week
@@AzureGodz The normal rgb has better performance than the SL version
@@bcallan54 just not true tho, they barely differ if anything the newer one would have better performance bc it can go up to 4800Mhz
@@bcallan54 which one. Have better aesthetics,? Sl or sl pro and which one have better specs
