  • A video showing my new router table top made to accommodate a Festool OF2200 and CMS insert.
I use a Festool MFT800 as the base, with a 1 1/2" thick laminated birch top which has been routed out to hold a CMS router module insert.
Further to Peter Parfitt's excellent video on how to set up an OF2200 for use with the CMS table. I add a couple of small points that he did not mention.

Can you tell me why you opted for the OF 2200? I'm in for a new router and need to choose between the OF 1400 and the 2200. They are both not cheap so I want to only buy one ;-)

Richard, Can you tell me the Festool Part Number for the Router Insert. I have an OF1400 which I want to mount into a Festool CMS Router Insert. Presently, I do not have a CMS unit - I was hoping to make a bench/support to take the Festool CMS Router Insert, so avoiding paying the Festool price. Thanks. Chris
