These courses are a more formal way to learn the skills of automotive design. Some of the material is similar to videos shown on the How to Draw Cars channel, but the coursework is much more in depth with multi-camera views. This is really important for learning critical skills like how to draw from you shoulder.
The Introduction to Automotive Design course covers an area I have never seen covered any where else on any platform: The vocabulary of automotive design. Each industry has a language that you can only really learn if you're on the inside. This course takes you inside and teaches you the language of car design.
Each course is built on the previous one so starting with the introductory course is recommended. The students who are talking the courses are having great success.

This is one of the most prestigious automotive design student competitions in the world. To be recognized as one of the best is a huge stepping stone to achieving your dream of becoming a professional automotive designer.
As a winner. he'll get an free trip to Detroit to attend College for Creative Studies, or CCS as it's known. It's one of the top car design schools in the world. There, he'll participate in a car design summer school program where he'll really be able to take his automotive design skills to the next level.
For him and for the other winners, it will be their first real experience of doing car design with and around others like you do in a professional design studio. This type of pressured environment is where the next generation of car designers is forged.

I've taken the two courses and I have to say they really help. The first covers the basics every designer needs to know. The second, some advanved concepts.
To take the second you need to take the introduction first, because their techniques are applied there.
If you dont understand something you can ask and Michael always answers very detailed.
Thanks to Michael, and of course a lot of practise, I've improved a lot since I started.

What car designers, or any designers do, is solve problems. You have to be just as creative in life as you are in your design work. If you have a problem, design a solution. Udemy runs a lot of sales. Look for one of those.

couldnt just make it free so everyone under the age can use it im 16 and i want to go to the art center college of design and all i want is one of these but their is a paywall:(
Although I understand and sympathize with your situation, those who work must be paid for their labour, bread is not for free, people work so hard to improve and work on their skills and professional capabilities so in the end there must be a return. No one is entitled for others to just hand over the fruits of their hard work for free to them, and in the end apart from recognition this only benefits the big companies of the internet that capitalize on things like this(like youtube). I do hope that you manage to fulfill your dreams of education and to become a successful designer though.

Excellent question. Thank for asking. Yes, motorcycles, cars, trains and trucks all fall under the larger heading of "Transportation Design". The majority of the designers that work for motorcycle manufacturers like BMW, KTM and Ducati went through a transportation design program. Those that focus on human interface/control design can also go through product programs but there is a lot of cross over. Do a search for motorcycle design drawings and you'll see pro motorcycle designers use the same techniques as car designers which are the same techniques I'm teaching in the courses. They'll work for you.
When you do the suggested lessons, just tailor them to bike design. If you have any questions, you can message me from within the course and I can assist you. Thanks again for asking.
