    Many times a car company will release a preview of an upcoming new model or concept car using a presentation rendering, usually computer generated. This type of car design drawing is very polished and done at a very high and professional level. It's usually very glamorous and is the epitome of the car designers presentation skills.
    For the introduction and announcement of their forthcoming hypercar, McLaren, the UK based road car company and Formula 1 team chose a much different path. They chose to introduce this groundbreaking super car by using a car design sketch.
    Not a finished, polished glamorous rendering, but what appears to be a hand drawn, old school car design drawing. The video covers the techniques that are at the foundation of any car design drawing. These include the overall perspective, the line quality, line weight, use of a ground plane and shading.
    These are all the case design skills that are taught, discussed, stressed and demonstrated on the How to Draw Cars channel.
    The video also asks for advise on the best way to distribute free passes to the Introduction to Automotive Design course on the Udemy learning and teaching web platform. Please submit your ideas in the comments below!

    Wow, so far you’re the only one that teaches good and explains everything. Unlike other channels that talk more about the pencils or markers. You actually tell us how it is designed and the techniques! Thanks!

      If you know the technique you can use a child's crayon and do a great car design drawing. Talking about pencils and markers is easy. Putting in the 10,000 it takes to get good is hard. The difference between people that grow their skills and talent and those that don't is the one's that grow, embrace the work. Their passion fuels the hours you need to spend to get better. If you like the teaching methodology here, my udemy courses are next level!

    Maybe have people submit before - after sketches after finding out about your videos and see who the videos have been the most helpful for , which might help you pick them . An easy way to do this would be just create a hashtag on Instagram where everyone can easily upload and all the person looking at the sketches has to do is scroll down . I also just wanted to say your videos have absolutely transformed my drawing for the better , thank you very much

    Your line quality is really awesome. In a step further, I'll take your course to learn more about theses topics. For now, I'm using the Scott Robertson's How to Draw book to learn some perspective.

    That would be so awesome. You can ask the subscribers to comment with their Country and then use the random name picker. I've seen other RUclipsrs doing it this way.

    every automobile designers have their own style
    but the common part is the line weight. Their skecthes always include 3,4 different lines which make the skecth believable....

    • @howtodrawcars.
      @howtodrawcars.  3 года назад

      Line weight and line quality go hand in hand. You need both to produce quality automotive drawings consistently.

    It’s awesome, for the passes you can ask the subscribers to write a comment with their country and name, then you can use some website for picking names randomly, there’s a website call “sortea2.com” in that website you can write hundreds of names and choose how many winners you want to be picked
