I used to build Cadillacs, ended up disabled and needed help some times walking and riding the bicycle to look for any work possible. You never know when a loved one may need some assistance temporarily to get back on their feet. Thank you Clarence and Canned Heat for such a powerful message
This guy shaped my childhood, I grew up to be an exemplary teacher and I care about all the children in my neighborhood and the world. God bless you GateMouth Brown! I will always remember your melodies drifting through time and into my crib.
My first ever Blues LP was Gatemouth's "Gates on Heat"...led me on a journey in the Blues I can't get off. This great track was on it. Hear brilliantly played by Gatemouth with Canned Heat..."Please Mr Nixon...don't cut off that welfare line...so we can live here all the time"
This was so awesome! To me the audience, in general, seemed asleep/ boring. I would've been hoot' n' hollering to this great performance and solos by Mr. Clarence 'Gatemouth' Brown!
One of the American blues legends, words fail trying to compliment the caliber of musician/performer. Also, the one guitarist looks a lot like Steve Marriott to me. Anyone know who that is?
Clarence used to perform at Biddy Mulligans on Sheridan Road in Chicago's Rogers Park north of Howard st in an area known as "Juneway Jungle". The Cadillacs on the street had bodies in the trunks, but boy, could he play them blues.
Gol durn. Kinda hard to understand why there AREN'T 70 million white violinists, all from being li'l grommets in 1973 who heard THIS and plotzed their undies. Heck's balls, I was a little grommet in 1973...
NIXON wage & price controls, yeh, but, socialisim/Kommunalizm is the worry, right? MISTER Gatemouth for prezident anyway ex posto facto ya'll. I trust this music more than any polecat-ician
Dont be fooled President Nixon was not only on our president Most respected leader ever Not only that a master concert pianist Thank you President Nixon and your wonderful family Bring it up total mucican
No politics, this guys are in music good. Pleas no politics in Jazz, Blues, Olympics or Sports! Since you have no idea how it runs, Red/Blue, I don't, care, NOW! I just want to listen to some music. NO PROPAGANDA!

Look Harvey Mandel at 3.48
In the dark glasses? Mandel had darker hair.
That's Henry Vestine -who Harvey replaced, then he came back for awhile. Lots of musical guitar chairs in Canned Heat
@@henseleric he's not Henry Vestine. Henry Vestine is on dark glasses. I don't know who is him. Sorry. Greetings
Henry Vestine is on dark glasses. I don't know Who is him (3:48). Sorry, greetings.
@@jorgeramirezcamarena4904 Yes -I was referring to Henry, with the dark glasses. I don't know the other guy, either.

Absolutely top talent on that stage, Absolutely LAME audience.
The audience was probably on drugs.
Me gusta?
Gatemouth under rated . Media preferred BBKing ect

Henry Vestine was actually a huge racist (who became a klansmen!) and he absolutely hated this collaboration.
