Saw him in Dusseldorf Airport (must have been touring) , over 40 years ago. Still a giant, gentle God. I was a mixed up punk, with a guitar in a, case. He smiled at me, but I was so in awe, I just stared. But I've treasured the memory, always. What a giant. 🇮🇪👍
When I met my future wife to be she was 19 years old and this was “our song.” Not to mention the coolest part was that I was 18! We used to go see Muddy back then, in 1969. 55 years later we are still together (married 52). Thank you Muddy for the advice!
Privileged to spend an evening with Sonny Boy Muddy Waters, Memphis Slim, and others at Croydon in 1963. He let me carry his attaché case, which contained several harps and a bottle of Johnny Walker. He passed around the table and insisted we all take a swig. All the kids were transfixed as Sonny did his set backed by Eric Clapton( I’d Never Heard of him) what a magic evening…. If the Lord asks about one of my best times on earth, this was the most memorable…Sonny Boy wanted to live in England.. he really made a mark. It didn’t happen and he died in 1965, the year I emigrated to the Us. Thank God for RUclips…😊

I got to play with willy big eyes 😳 smith drums, Calvin Jones bass, pinetop perkins piano when muddy waters passed away, they became the legendary blues band, They were playing in Fort Collins Colorado and someone called me and told me Jerry portnoys fender super reverb blew up and they knew I had one so I lend it to him and I got to blow harp with portnoy and the band and the second time I got to play with them was At the Greeley blues Festival and the 3rd time at the soiled dove in Denver, me and Willie bigeyes Smith were great friends, when they played around the area me and Willie would go for drives up in the mountains He loved the Rocky Mountains we kept in touch for a few years now and then he would send me a album, what memories😎

This is just a perfect tune ... great harmonica, great guitar, ... it just has this special groove ... just perfect as it is ... I must listened to it like 100 times at least ... still touching
Man, those two slow blues guitar solos are AWESOME. Especially the Pee Wee Madison part. I try to play blues guitar and his tone is something I aim for. 😊🎸
@MrJudo2go try multiple mics. place them in odd positions. odd angles. when brian wilson figured this out about phil spector and the fact that he would only record at joints with porcelain walls, he broke phil.
I met my wife when she was nineteen, and she still has ways like a baby child, and has never helped me with bills. Gave me a baby and took off afterwards. Its been over 3years I'm still on my own left with a baby child.

This is like when I was a kid listening to a little am transistor radio after bedtime discovering something new from far away. You know you've stumbled onto something special that other people have known about, and now you're in. I'm not new to the blues but hearing this made me feel like I am. The suits, the haircuts, the photography. It's like a time machine, like I'm somehow really there as its happening and not just a video. Man! Thank you.
It doesn’t get better then this for originality and real blues to the core. Hits you on every good level. No other music can do what real blues can do….
Got to see him live around 1977 when he was opening for Clapton. We found out about the show that afternoon and got tickets. Those days are gone, but what a show!
King bisquite flower hour at the palladium NYC.......walmans rink and saw him another place for a short set . At 14 , why that king biscuit show with johnny winters , james cottan and willie dixon changed me forever. Glad for being there. Available on internet. Willie dixon was a cousin of some sort to muddy. Thank you and rock on folks.
how is the sound quality soooo gooood like its live right there and whatever FILM this was filmed on was incredible.. man and sepia tone is so nostalgic of that times f how films were proccessed in sepia dyes
Because sound quality peaked by late 60s, or early 70s at latest, most « innovations » since then are about decreasing price or size of equipment or adding more volume or bass
This is pure genius! Muddy is accompanied by one of the greatest bands in the history of music!
