As much as I am a fan of him and everything he and his bands could do .. but he is a pretty poor guitar player. He admitted that himself and focused on singing later. If you research ... he almost everytime plays the same solo no matter the song we cna hear here ... the fanboys might not want ot hear that. But this is just how it is.
He uses the Slide Guitar as Color among 2 other Guitars, a Piano and Harp as well as a Bass and Drums and it sounds great together. Johnny Winter was a Fanboy too.

Great to see George Harmonica Smith up there with Muddy's bandmates . That cat can easily be noted as one of the blues masters of all time .
First time I saw muddy I was 16 years old the year 1966 in Hollywood at the Ash Grove after that I never missed a show no matter where it was !
The Ash Grove was my second home from 1969 on...
