Kit part for this piece is such great fun, especially with how much wiggle room is given in the Skyfall segment. Even learned the actual drum patterns from the original song to do it justice.
GREAT....I play Trumpet and Flugel..This is the cleanest version of Bond songs I have ever heard....Maybee someday our community band can play this... Thanks for posting.. Jay
Just got this piece in my band class, and apparently it’s also gonna be the theme for our halftime show next year. Oh yeah 3:55 is my favorite alto sax part so far
I played this song during my last high school band concert in senior year. If we hadn't played The Complete Harry Potter by Jerry Brubaker afterward, this would've been my favorite song of the night.
Very nice arrangement. Keep up on doing the good work. The 1st & 2nd part were impeccable. The whole recording is also flawless. I was just thinking, what an emphatic ending would have been, by adding "A view to a kill"! A very impressive "coda",based on the brass section; the main theme played by F-horns ,tenor & bass trombones & euphonium, accompanied by a rhythmic 'ostinato' of the trumpets, Bb clarinet & Mib clarinet, and so on... In my opinion,it is by far the best soundtrack of the J.Bond sequel.(Duran-Duran).
I play clarinet and we have to play this for a elementary tour in march and this piece came out last minute for the whole band so we're learning how to do fast
i’m a clarinetist and got this piece not long ago and playing it with my orchestra... and i could say this, is... a good song but specially the skyfall theme part was best imo...
Playing this for the spring (trumpet 1) and I can’t wait!! Definitely my favorite for this year. (I also get to do the oboe solo during goldfinger because we don’t have an oboist or English horn player)
I love this peace, especially skyfall, and its easy to understand, as a alto saxophonist that isnt the best at playing difficult parts. Im just glad this isnt that difficult, but for other parts, i can see and hear that it can be difficult.
Surprisingly well done, and unexpected medley transitions! All the classic sonorities are there! On Simon's tune, wondering if a guest vocalist could replace the melody parts or blend with them?
+XSuperNinjaExtremeX We didn't have an oboe last year as well so I played Soprano Saxophone for the solo, actually turned out quite nice with a jazzy feel to it!
I didn’t play this song but our band does not have piccolo, oboe, bassoon, alto clarinet, bass clarinet, baritone, or tuba, then again I’m only in 6thbgrade
kinda sad there's no From russia with love (FRWL)... Don't get me wrong I like Bulla's work but I hope I can hear FRWL in wind ensemble...or im just not aware of it that's all....
@@robertdupre9794 Yes the Electric Bass is so much easier to carry cause it's more compact. The Big amp also works around the issue of the Acoustical Compromise of a 3/4 Size Upright Bass (the 4/4 Size Upright is designed to have good resonance on those low notes).
tried to get the sax solo for my band but my band teacher doesn’t have faith in me but i knew i would’ve don’t good... (the only reason is bc this other sax wanted first part in this other song and he just thought i couldnt do it)
I like it, but there are some issues: The 60's era jazz stuff should have been written and played in a light swing. The rock n' roll section of Live and Let Die was far too slow.
I'm still a little dissapointed that they didn't put The Man With The Golden Gun in there. they had room for Nobody Does It Better and Live And Let Die
When you sneak out in the middle of the night to eat your brothers chocolate
the horns in thw whole skyfall theme are stunning
as a french horn player... anything jazzy is a pain to play. However, this absolutely slaps.
I'm playing this in band right now and i've been looking all over for this piece!
Nice me too!
nani how it took me one search lol
"Nobody Does It Better" is my favorite.😇
I play trumpet and love this piece. I'm always looking around Hal Leonard's you tube posts and love them so much.
John Hoey measure 144 onward was so complicated with my grouo
John Hoey me too.

Same, I play trumpet and look around Hal Leonard’s posts all the time
I olso play trumpet
The little part the Trombones have in the chorus is so much fun to play
Always wanted to take a crack at the bond themes...especially Skyfall
SuperMechguy skyfall is amazing especially the single band arrangement for it
The skyfall band arrangement is nice

I love this piece so much. Finally, we get to play something good!

Aww
Wish I was playing this instead of mission impossible. My opinion
In my opinion, I'd rather play mission impossible than this.
@@jackdonohue7893 OK. Nevermind. That comment was back 2 years ago. I actually would prefer to play this than mission impossible.
Rose Cadenza wise words
Rose Cadenza We’re playing Mission Impossible and Bond James Bond.

Yes agree!! Ik a clarinetist to 😂
I'm a trumpet and I get chills at Skyfall
ótimo arranjo! já tive o prazer de tocá-lo aqui na banda.
I play euphonium and this is a wonderful piece
I want to play it too 🙈😌 I'm playing the Euphonium too 🙈
I'm playing second bassoon with the reno wind symphony at the Atlantis in Reno on the 15th this month, and we're playing this piece :)

@ Rachel Guest It's for either instrument. They give you a few bars to swap instruments if you're going to play the solo on the English Horn

I have noticed that the guards play this medley quite often during the changing of the guard. I love it.
Um dos melhores arranjos que já ouvi.
I had two days to learn the drum part to fill in for another guy. It makes it easy when it’s such a cool piece!
I played this in a group and I love this piece.
Que arranjo maravilhoso ! Brevemente estaremos ensaiando.

*_this is so good_*
my band played this at the end of the year and were a middle school :D
My first marching show *.*

+Castiel “Whovian” Malfoy love your name, mate
Detictive Castiel Malfoy what songs did you do?

The music is not of greatest but the arrangement drained the best of it and made it sound good. We played it with WMFSB and it was very enjoyable.
My favourite is nobody does it better
The names Bond... James Bond!
I had to get my grand daughter to help me, but the solo in Goldfinger is a Cor Anglais ( English horn, which is neither English nor a horn).
it's like a strange clarinet I think
Dolan Brighter I thought more like oboe that hit the gym
It is indeed more oboe like. Double read and same fingerings
Hal Leonard, do you have your own band for these recordings, or do you contract them out?
I'm pretty sure they have their own band. Almost 100% sure, but don't quote me on it
I love Skyfall
Beschte
Skyfall is the best for horn :3
Love the trumpet mute wahwahwahwahhh
+the stitch lol

on which software was designed the score ? (Is it free? Downloadable?)
I believe it was made on Finale, which you can download for a 30 day free trial, with it costing around $600 for the full thing.
