Just got my V6 2008 RAV4 and looked under the bumper and almost had a heart attack!!! The rear impact bar is completely rotted, but I had no idea that it is an easy removal....... I thought it was actually part of the frame!!! I am not very mechanically inclined, but I did some research and I feel so much better now that I know it can be done by myself
Thanks for watching! take the rear bumper cover off and the rear reinforcement bar is bolted down with 4 13mm or 14mm bolts just look at it. once you look at it you'll see its easier then you think.
Thank you. In order to pass Pennsylvania inspection, the rear crash bar had to be replaced because of rust. I should have watched this and done the work myself. The Cost of that OEM part was $215. I found a non OEM for $71. Grrrr
Hi ! That looks doable: I backed my baby 2010 into a parking pole. Any suggestions on how to replace affordably ??? I love my car it’s in great shape until last night 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️. Ty simple and to the point: really only liked your video.
@@j-flow617 I had to remove all the grill the top and the bottom. Many screws on the bottom and behind the grill. The job took 3.5 hrs but it turned out to be very good looking. For the rear, I have not changed it yet, but I believe it will be very easy because there is nothing to be involved much!

How to remove the bumper brackets?
If it has a screw in it, remove it and pull it off. BEWARE that something’s they break just work it out gently
I had my wife front bumper replacement. It seems to be complicated than the rear one!
No it’s pretty simple!

@@j-flow617 the worst time I have ever spent on is the cleaning. It took me a lot of time for cleaning before I put it back on!
