  • Andrew Callaghan is the force behind All Gas No Breaks, a hit RUclips show that featured Callaghan putting a mic in front of people and just... letting them talk. Callaghan's recently gone independent, taking his unique interviewing style to a new home, Channel 5 with Andrew Callaghan, and building a substantial following there. Callaghan joins Big Technology Podcast to discuss why his alternative to traditional news is hitting a nerve, what he's learned about the American people from his travels across the country, and the factors that led to his decision to strike out on his own.

Dude is a phenomenon, total natural talent. Does a great job of being a fixture on his show, yet completely letting his interviewees run wild.

There’s a lot more depth to Andrew than what was shown in the all gas no brakes series. He really hit the nail on the head with the echo chamber comments regarding social media. The youth can learn a lot from him!

I don't often find internet figures that give me a sincere hope to stay and watch them succeed, and Andrew is one of them.

Great discourse about the holistic nature of humanity vs. the bipolarity of media. I really relate to Andrew's perspective after my extensive hitchhiking experiences and hearing out my drivers who had nothing in common besides the impulse decision to pick me up. Listening to other people regardless of your opinions is the answer. Thanks guys!

The point Andrew makes at 17:18 is so true. That one cut deep for me. Society cares more about seeing the destruction of other people's property than seeing people murdered by police on video. It's like we watch a person get murder by the police, and on some level, some part of our psyche is thinking "welp, that's not me so it sucks but what can you do? Police are evil", but yet when we see buildings on fire during a riot, we think to ourselves "that could have been my building! This is not okay."

I disagree. people weren't mad because they robbed just anything. like right now mass looting if high end stores is going on and no one cares. Louis Vuitton has insurance. The problem is these fools burned down a bunch of small business and did so with absolutely no regard to the damage that does to the individuals who own these small businesses. And I don't mean looting, I mean total structure fires, complete losses, whole buildings gone. And now they're bringing in condos you know. So corrupt. You don't build community by literally absolutely destroying your community.

I think it's funny you guys think Andrew represents your alt-right talking points when all he does is make fun of y'all. lmao. Just because he can make fun of multiple groups doesn't mean he believes in your trash. You guys really love to distort what people are saying for whatever reason.
