It's surprising that she's not in the video sharing the absolute joy, and being all ecstatic about her new gift. Most probably she's calling her divorce lawyer and locksmith, while you are unwrapping "her" awesome weather station. My lovely ex was really happy to find a big Christmas ribbon on the new mop and pail kit, shinee new aluminium garbage cans, lightweight shovels for the snow removal, asphalt spreader tool, full septic tank kit with boots and matching pink gloves. Great review of the AcuRite #02007. I have a couple of weather stations (02008A1, 02007) from AcuRite, and all is good for now. Please take note that having your unit on top of that DVR, will give you an erroneous inside temperature reading.
Hello, how are you and wife enjoying this product? I just got mine, I like it that it has a power cord and batteries. I live on a 3rd floor and no outdoor balcony so I just put outdoor sensor between window & screen. I live in iowa so in winter I have to buy the lithium batteries for temperature below -4f
Alfred Pesina we like ours as well. I wish we had the option of running on battery all the time but it will be nice not to have to worry about changing them in the indoor unit. It actually fits pretty well on our entertainment center.
TinyT Prepper Hi, TinyT Prepper. Does the item you bought gives accurate real-time weather date of indoor and outdoor temperature? My weather station works great, it provides accurate, real-time weather data of indoor and outdoor temperature, and humidity in our area. Check this link for the item I'm talking about: www.ebay.com/itm/433Hz-Wireless-Weather-Station-Thermometers-Hygrometers-In-Outdoor-RCC-DCF77-/321768380597
Ours seems to be working fine and I have compared it with another indoor only unit and they are usually the same. The outdoor reading seems to correspond with what is given on the weather report for our local area. So we are happy with it for the price.
i see. i'm happy to know that. but if your thinking of buying another unit, you can try my recommendation! the item has cheaper value but the quality is really good! i'm using the weather station in a year now! Have a nice day! :)
junamae kayvin rullan Mine says 10 degrees over what the forecast reports are but I got mine in a window cause I'm on a 3rd floor and I got no yard, at night its right, in day sun probably hits it.
Its not atomic clock its called Intelli-Time, you will never have to set or reset the time. AcuRite products with Intelli-Time technology are pre-programmed with the time and date. Simply select your time zone, and the correct time and date are automatically displayed. Intelli-Time products store the time, date and alarm settings even after power outages, unplugging or battery removal. Intelli-Time is not radio-controlled, but instead uses a pre-installed battery to store the time and date settings until the product is powered on by batteries or power adapter. A built-in internal calendar is designed to update the clock automatically to spring forward and fall back for Daylight Saving Time (DST).
+MrRonniReal part of the present was having it setup and ready for her to use when she got home. She does not enjoy setting up those types of things and prefers I get them ready for her. Thanks for asking :)
Can you update us on how your wx station is holding up? I'm considering one of these, as my other acurite (basic indoor/outdoor temp only) has suffered from sudden battery hunger (base unit) of 4 AA's about once/month. One "plus" for this one having a power cord I guess.
The weather station so far has held up well at TinyT. I can relate to the battery problem except mine is usually corrosive chemicals leaking from batteries left in too long. So far we are happy with this purchase.
I used to buy my wife gifts like this for Christmas and her birthday, along with toaster ovens and pots and pans sets. And I wonder why she left one day and never came back. Don't make the same mistake I made...
patd4u2 thanks for the advice. I am not too worried since she put this on her list. I did also get her some other things though just to be on the safe side :)
The mop, vacuum cleaner, and shiny new lightweight garbage can, what probably triggered her in my case... I had managed to fit them all under the Christmas tree.
Persian Bright, unfortunately I do not recall doing and calibrations on this. It may have it but I don't recall seeing anything about it. Next time I am home I will take a look at it and see if it does.
I have this same one! *note.. if you live in the mid west (MN. here) when the temp goes way below zero, it can stop working :-( ** I did change to Lithium batteries for the cold. so far working good.
This model is not meant to run on batteries except for moving from one location to another so you don't lose your settings when you unplug it and plug it back in. Because of this I have only run it by plugging it in. Not sure how long it would last on batteries but probably not a long time.
It goes by whatever the current conditions are. So when there is a drop in barometric pressure (at least I assume that is why) it usually means rain is coming. Probably depends on how fast storm is moving on how far in advance you would know.
+Pheara Lim you should be able to put the outdoor sensor in any of those locations but it could affect the reading if the temperature by your door or windows is much different from the outside temp. I would suggest keeping it out of the sun and a foot or so away from a door or window.
I am very interested about weather station it's show in temperature and humidity and out door temperature and show pressure and time and month and date I don't any have acurite weather station and outdoor sensor got hang on did you know what link Amazon or eBay weather station is good
Here is a link to one on amazon that looks like the one I have. www.amazon.com/AcuRite-02027A1-Temperature-Humidity-Forecaster/dp/B00GLDQFPY/ref=sr_1_4?s=lawn-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1519611922&sr=1-4&keywords=acurite+weather+station
I bought this one from Walmart the other day and liked everything about it EXCEPT that you have to have it plugged in for the screen to light up. I was hoping to hang it on my wall, but that's impossible with this unit if you don't want to see a cord hanging down. Was very disappointed in that. I ended up taking it back and getting another acurite that is very similar to this one, except it's battery powered and not in color. Doesn't have the moonphase like the color one, but everything else is exactly the same.
BlackNGoldRules yes, I was wishing it didn't have to be plugged in also. We had planned to have it by the door but didn't want a cord hanging down either and relocated it to the entertainment center where the cord wasn't noticeable. I thought about taking it back as well but decided to keep it and do a review so others would know about the cord thing as well if they decided to buy it.
Oh, I see. You got it for your wife eh! I bought my wife a high power compressor. She really liked it.
+Beauregard d'Ripley I think my wife really needs some new power tools :) Thanks this really made me chuckle.
Can't wait until my wife sees her new 6.6L turbo-diesel V8 Silverado parked in the drive-way.
It's surprising that she's not in the video sharing the absolute joy, and being all ecstatic about her new gift.

@Odorous Smegma Gayer than a daffodil?
Thank you 🙏 so much for the video. I couldn’t find the tiny outlet for the plug in😊
Marquita Larson thank you so much for watching the video. Glad you found it useful :)
@@tinytprepper6909 Is it still holding up ok
I have the same model and I love mine! I've had mine since 2013. I
love the way you can manually set the barometric pressure. Nice review 👌
Jim, thanks for watching and commenting. We have really liked ours as well.
With the difference between your 2 inside temperatures, you had one inside your TV cabinet.
Thank you posting a great review. We're glad you're liking the weather station!
I bought an Acu-Rite weather station model 00992 without a sensor at a thrift store. What model sensor would you recommend for it?
Good review of opening the package.

Or Walmart some I am really enjoying this video
Glad you enjoyed the video.
Hi Alyn, we offer free weather station sample for review, contact me if you are interested .
Just curious, are you and your wife still together?
Nice, thorough review, thanks for uploading this.
Curt, glad you found the video useful. Thanks for watching!
nice guy....good informations ...only one thing i didnt get it if its your wife present why you opened?

His 'wife' is actually a guy. He's hiding in the closet....very shy!
what's the model number

It blew away in a hurricane.
The sensor is supposed to face away from your house on the north outside wall. 👍🏻

@@bullittfanatic Love this thread. ;)
The hygrometer does not have calibration? If not then I am in trouble :)

Barb D, that is good to know, thanks for commenting and watching my video.
a prepper without spare AA batteries in the house? just saying :)
did power adapter work on 220~240v
Not sure if it would work on 220-240v. I only have 110 at my house. Maybe someone else can comment if they see your post.
Yes it did....for about half a second, or less ! Made lots of sparks and smelled funny but other than that....
How long battery life

so how fare in advance does the weather predictor work 8hrs? 24 hrs ?

You'll get a more accurate reading if it's not on a heat source.....like your cable/satellite box.
Thanks, I will keep that in mind although it doesn't seem to be affected much.
Can I place outdoor sensor next or near doors and windows outside?
+Pheara Lim you should be able to put the outdoor sensor in any of those locations but it could affect the reading if the temperature by your door or windows is much different from the outside temp. I would suggest keeping it out of the sun and a foot or so away from a door or window.
Pheara Lim as long as it isn't exposed to sunlight
Will this work with acurite
Not sure I understand the question. The brand on this is acurite but it is a stand alone functions that work on an outside sensor if that helps.
I could barely hear you mate over you opening the box lol
Lol
