Acurite has blocked smart phone access for the Smart Hub devices in order to sell a $130 ish upgrade to the Access Point device. I was able view my 5 in 1 Pro+ weather data through my smart phone and then it just stopped. When I contacted Acurite I was told, “we don’t support that device any longer”. All I need to do to reestablish the smart phone function is purchase the $130 upgrade. There is nothing wrong with the electronics the Weather Underground is still able to read the device. - Bob
I can still follow my station on the Weather Underground site (at least for now). It would help them if all of the sudden 1000's of weather stations shut down their Smart Hubs

Yeah I read about this. What a silly thing for them to do. They just pissed off a lot of lobg time customers.

When I contacted ACURITE their attitude was basically "too bad"
