What videos did you watch to help you with learning how to modify previous built vehicles in Blender? I would like to do the same with my S2000, want to add my own aero but have ZERO experience with blender.
Do you have any resources regarding physics development? I wanna try my hand at *fixing* some good looking cars that are terrible to drive but I don't know where to start with aero, tyres and such.
Not that i recall, fairly sure it went straight from blender to KSEditor, there are a few guides online and the official kunos documentation that can help.
@BEAVIS Motorsport Two things, your car dont have shiny foof because whole model have AO. Try to make them. And you forgot about one thing. most of AC models have Inside and Outside Windshield XD If you want to see your sticker/numbers you must to make inner windshield texture :V But still Great job mate
Yeah certainly not a perfect model, I did what I could with my limited skills/experience. First time making a car for a game. End of the day, you cant see the roof when inside the car so I'm not too fussed :P

Given you made the mirrors in Fusion, then imported them to Blender, theoretically would it be possible to make an entire vehicle in Fusion then animate it in Blender? Really want to make some very, *very* odd vehicles but find Blender quite difficult, whereas Fusion is a walk in the park for me
Certainly seems possible to model more of the car in fusion before moving to something like blender to finalise all the components properly for the right file format.

I started with another cars data as a baseline and then tweaked the data to match what I wanted, and to achieve the right sort of lap times i was targeting.
@@Bbeavis Must be tiring amount of work...I do a bit modeling myself so I know how time consuming is to get those complex shapes right with clean topology. Maybe i just suck at it lol
I used the baseline MX-5 Miata physics configuration, altered the tyre specs slightly, added some considerations for front and rear aero, then tweaked the numbers slightly to try get the car to match the speeds of the real world laps at tracks I have driven the car.
Sorry I really am an amateur and wouldn't have the best knowledge on the topic, there are other superior guides and tutorials out there that I used to learn to do this.

How are you able to export from Blender 2.8+ to KsEditor?? I used the .fbx converter to make it compatible with KsEditor which works fine but then exporting it out as .kn5 which is also fine but the game would not load when car and track selected to go for a test, the data and all the other stuffs are definitely in the final folder
@@Bbeavis, I forgot yes that does work actually but scaling is off big time, I am aware that I have set it to 1.0 when export. All I did was delete a license plate for a modded car as a test so when imported in the car, I didn't change the scaling of anything since it wouldn't make any sense, so I just export it out with the settings you chose but still have a scaling failure (car/tracks being massive) I tried scaling it down then export but the results are the same, still big and massive in KsEditor. I made the images myself using common image editing software, using photos of my real car as reference. Importing them onto the mesh is a bit more involved, I did a lot of searching on "blender apply texture to object" to learn how to unwrap meshes and things... good luck.
We have this for Asetto Corsa for PS4 only: It's like driving on ICE all the time, regardless of settings. Sucks! A stock Miata can not just jump sideways on a straight away in 80 degree weather in 4th gear.... (It's not a Mustang lol)
@@Bbeavis NA car like mine yeh. It's soooo bad in PS4, I can't drive anything but base model cars, it's ridiculous. Of note though, the steering wheel just got tossed, so I'm back to the controller for now.
You could probably flip the cockpit model and then retexture everything... but I have VERY limited modeling experience (I'm watching this as I'm about to embark on my first couple large scale modeling projects) so I'm not sure. I've taken cockpits from one car and switched them to another in AC before, so this to me seems possible.
Lookup the docco and SDK for Assetto Corsa. They come with the tools to do it. C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\sdk\editor\ksEditor.exe

1 year later still looking for someone to do this. Been denied by a few companies. I got the 3d model finished twice now after corrupting my first try a few months ago. But this time around I'm missing every single texture on the car. Not sure why this happened but it seems every time I attempt this something doesn't work.

I don't have any specific suggestions sorry. Lots of googling and reading various forums, and then lots of trial and error in game.
Did you use anything to load the car back into KS Editor? I can't get the model to load. Something with root node scaling

How to add flamed titanium texture to the exhaust?
I guess that would just be a texture change. You'd need to work out how to unpack the car, find the right texture, and replace it.

Wondering how the cars were originally made in this game, probably through manufacturer's CAD file? Polygon modeling would be insane amount of work!

Literally just File->Export->FBX
Make sure scale is set to 1.0 and hit Export FBX button. I don't think I used any external converter.

The real life car, or the car in the game? The real car was painted by Mazda. The car in the game is painted with a big white jpg file.

@@Bbeavis thanks tho I’ve already read that car model and sound pipeline, but is there any good sound tutorials and physics tutorials? I don’t know much about real car physics and not even in assetto’s game engine. Thankyu and sorry for asking so much
@@LightYagami-by8mh For my car i just copied the audio from another vehicle. And similar for physics, i started with another cars data as a baseline, and then tweaked the values till the car drove in a way that felt like it was realistic.
How much would I have to pay to get you to do the same for my track car? haha
